Considering the amount of films we’re talking about it is actually amazing that that’s all you could find and two are incorrect.. 1: The shirt changing color: you ran two scenes together, the scene when Harry sees Voldemort at the train station he wakes up on the train on the way to hogwarts. You showed him waking in bed having the dream about Mr. Weasley getting attacked. Two completely different scenes hence two different shirts. 2: The Second challenge towel change: again you’re splitting the scene to fit your agenda here. Hermoine came out of the water before Harry and was given the blue towel, which is the final scene you show. If you notice Harry is not there yet and everyone is anxiously waiting for him to come out of the water. Once he does, they then show Hermoine wrap her blue towel around Harry therefore leaving her in her dark blue robe…..you just reversed the scenes to make it look like a mistake. Also, the book opening on its own was more than likely the wind blowing if you notice in the scene you’ll see the pages continue to turn in the wind…so that one is questionable as well. If you have to fake movie mistakes to make a 10 minute article when you have eight films to work with that pretty much says it all….they did an amazing job.
I actually went back to look for the cameramen after Draco was attacked by Harry during 2nd year and the shot is firstly mirrored in this article, secondly, its cut off from right where the girl is next to the cameraman so the cameraman is not in the shot. The scene is quite a few seconds long so I was shocked when they claimed there’s a cameraman that no-ones noticed.
In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone, I’m pretty sure in the scene when Harry, Ron, and Hermione have to get the key with the broken wing, you can see the strings holding up the hovering broom stick. Just a minor thing. You mentioned a book that was both opened and shut. I used to make books for Worzaella Publishing. Depending on the final venue, we had very different binding techniques. Hermione Granger’s book is bound as a textbook. If it was properly opened / broken in (as I would expect Ms. Granger to perform); Both the cover and the pages inside the book would move in the breeze. There is also the possibility the book is used.

I think Harry’s shirt is light and later darker for a reason. When he sleeps he is himself so the shirt is light blue. When he wakes up he is partly Voldermort so that is why his shirt is darker. That is what i think. It’s the same with the logo’s in the beginning of the franchise. The first movie it’s a color logo later on it keeps getting darker and darker in each movie.

First off, I went back to watch the dueling scene and TRIED to find the cameraman, and guess what? he wasn’t there. Second off, you’ve got to remember that these movies were made around 20 yrs ago and they didn’t have as advanced technology as we do now. I just want to enjoy a good Harry Potter movie without searching for these tiny tiny details.
I remember seeing an editing mistake. It was in the order of the phoenix or the half blood prince, i kinda forgot. It was in the scene where Professor Mcgonagall asks Harry, Ron and Hermione why it is always you three. It was about the cursed necklace. In that scene, they were kind of transparent and you can see things behind them.
Wait I have one: in Harry Potter and the philosopher stone, when Harry wants to show to Ron the Mirror of Erised, they take the invisibility coat. Of course the invisibility coat is only a green coat that they remove, but when Harry and Ron let the invisibility coat on the floor next to the door, in the scene just after, we see for like 1 sec a green coat on the floor.
A nice one only Dutch people could notice if they watched both the English and Dutch dubs. In POA Snape requests the pupils to turn to page 394. In the Dutch redub that’s page 349. Now in Dutch we say “driehonderdvierenegentig” to 394. Literally “Three hundred four and ninety”, and perhaps you can see how this mistake got into the translation. I checked the Dutch subtitles (which I mostly don’t turn on in English movies as they distract me, and mostly the translation is poor) the page number was correctly noted as 394.
With so many things happening in shooting movies and with so many takes, it’s hard to keep up with every single detail for every single shot. I used to be bothered by these mistakes but I grew up. It’s good to notice these things but let’s not condemn the movie and/or the crew for it. They’ve worked so hard to put their movies together
In the Chamber of secrets, when Harry breaks his arm in the quiditch mach, Madam Pompfrey, she says it could be fixed in seconds ( if a random professor didn’t do make Harry’s bones vanish). However when Draco messes with the hippograff, and most likely also breaks his arm Pompfrey desides to do it the muggle way. Maybe she also hates Draco.
I know of a scene continuity problem when Ron is receiving a letter from his mother, the Red Holler letter. The first shot of the letter shows it’s sealed, the second shot shows it on the table opened with the seal broken, then the next scene is when Ron picks up the letter and opens it to break the seal. You missed one! Go back and look for it and make another awesome article!
I’m not 100% sure about it but I think that in the 3rd movie, when remus transforms I front of every one, he stays for a bit and whimpers and hermione comes towards him, however when they use the time turner, the scene where she approches werewolf lupin isn’t there, he transforms and immediately attacks
Another thing in goblet of fire. When harry is taking the bath with the egg, he goes under the water and the egg is open but in the next shot the only thing he does is come up for air and bring the egg with him, he never closed it yet it is closed in that scene. Tho I don’t know if the egg can close on it’s own
Is this a mistake? When Harry tries on the invisibility cloak, Ron replies (I can’t make out what Ron’s reply is…) but the “R” on Ron’s sweater is backward! The thing is: I remember seeing Ron wearing the sweater earlier and the “R” definitely was not backward! Did they have two sweaters? Is there a trick filmmakers use to make sure writing is perceived by the viewer as normal? Did others already mention this glitch? Is this a mistake to see if we catch it?
plot Twist: wormt tail wand mistake was not mistake, wormtail was always with harry potter, he switched the voldemort’s wand at that moment, he hid the real wand to his left, and gave a fake wand to voldemort from his right, which in future results in voldeort’s wand not responding correctly and he went for elder wand, wormtail was the hidden hero all the time. B)
I have to say this. I thought that the trials in the Goblet of Fire were stupid. Dumbledore makes it perfectly clear how dangerous this contest was. Lafleur was allowed to retire from the water trial and a few other things that escaped my mind. I understand that this movie was for younger people as well. But considering the dark scenes that were in all of the movies. I think that they should have made things more believable for the movie goers and/or just me. I felt that they just rushed through the trials, never got any feeling that anyone was in any danger. I was never sitting on the edge of my seat or biting my nails. It could also be a situation that they were running over budget. But still, it didn’t give any feeling of any real danger. It was still a great movie, but the trials were stupid.
Hermione is a warewolf . Don’t believe it? She sort of admits to it herself in PoA. In the class where Snape teaches instead of Lupin (“turn to page 394”), Hermione defines what warewolfs are. She says: “Besides – warewolfs only reacts to howls from it’s own kind. ” Later in the same movie, she howls like a warewolf to save Harry’s life. AND the warewolf (Lupin) reacts!!?? According to her, Lupin would not have responded to her howling, unless she herself was a warewolf……. So is she – or is it just a pretty embarrassing mistake?
Just wondering have you read the books? Did you forget when eating at hogwarts the food will keep coming back. Remember the 2nd book with the sandwiches for Ron and Harry. Then in the 5th book at breakfast before Ron when down for try outs. Some of these are good. But is this just based on the movies only?
