UnitedHealthcare, a UnitedHealth Group company, has introduced a new bundled payment program for maternity care to support the well-being of moms and babies before and after childbirth. The program covers medically necessary durable medical equipment (DME) when the equipment is ordered by a physician to treat an injury or illness. Medicare Part B will cover DME if the member meets the coverage requirements.
Meanwhile, most women start prenatal care during the first trimester, which is important for encouraging healthy, full-term deliveries. With $25,000 in support from UnitedHealthcare, the collaboration with MAHEC and SC4S will expand the Doulas for Social Justice program to provide prenatal care. Most health insurance plans cover maternity, and since January 2014, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires all new individual and small-group health insurance policies to provide maternity coverage.
UnitedHealthcare offers resources to help during pregnancy, including how to prepare for a new baby, prenatal care, self-care tips, eating and exercising, mental health, and more. Plans and issuers that do not provide maternity benefits are not required to offer them, and thus are not subject to the provisions of the Act.
UnitedHealthcare plans and issuers that do not provide maternity benefits are not required to offer them, and thus are not subject to the provisions of the Act. The Doula Program Expansion Into Western North Carolina aims to address maternal health outcomes, access to care, and health equity.

Lapiplasty Bunion Surgery can cost between $3, 500 and over $12, 000, depending on factors like location and patient health needs. Not all insurance plans cover Lapiplasty, leading to significant out-of-pocket expenses. Patients can use health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, and health reimbursement accounts to manage these costs. The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Departments of Labor and the Treasury have proposed a rule to strengthen access to birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). 📹 New Mexico governor responds to Trump’s “concepts” of health care plan

Trump 2017: “This will be a plan where you can choose your plan. And you know what the plan is — this is the plan. And we’re going to have a tremendous — I think we’re going to have a tremendous success. It’s a complicated process, but actually it’s very simple. It’s called good healthcare.” Trump 2024: “I have concepts of a plan”
Kamala should hit the Navajo Nation. There are a lot of available votes from Native Americans both in New Mexico and Arizona. She would be surprised how many votes she could pull from the Navajo Nation if she made an appearance in Window Rock. Perhaps enough votes to win the razor thin race in AZ. Come check out Window Rock Kamala and win AZ. Nice job Governor Michelle. A big fan here in western NM. 505!
The ACA doesn’t benefit the working class—it penalizes us for not being able to afford health insurance out of pocket. Like most Democrat policies, it’s an inefficient and ineffective way to address real concerns (like the cost of healthcare). It does more harm than good, even if the reps who passed it had their hearts in the right place.
Historically the border in New Mexico has moved several times and my great grandma changed her citizenship 3 times in her lifetime! My state has a beautiful and diverse culture due to the many invasions it has experienced over the past 300 years. We live in harmony for the most part. While working on my Cultural Studies degree I traveled to New York to complete my research on the cause and cure for gang violence as it pertains to immigration and drug and sex trafficking. I was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of Ethnic gangs literally running the ports and borders of that state! It is a racial prejudice to blame all of the immigration and drug issues of the US on immigrants from South of the border, especially when you take a moment to analyze the incredible rates of illegals invading the East coast in comparison. I felt unsafe at every corner of New York. New Mexico Texas and Arizona will always need to filter and screen the migration and sanctuary of our Southern neighbors and the task of keeping out the individuals trying to sneak drugs through to feed the insatiable American Drug habits will be a constant battle BUT THANK GOD clear thinking and proactive Governance from people like Michelle Lujan Grisham who looks the finger pointing racists in the eye and says “I love New Mexico” and continues the fight to keep us safe! A Native New Mexican
Let me guess she didn’t have anything good to say. For someone who literally tried to take our “fundamental rights” to say that’s about someone else is right up the democrat playbook. This is the same Governor who decided she had the authority to ban the 2nd amendment, then the sheriffs, city police, and state police said “nah we ain’t doing that”. There was hardly a clash about abortion during the debate. This lady spent millions for a “reproductive center” in So. Nm instead of something for the kids that are alive. No not all New Mexicans think like you say, believe it or not the majority are catholic and are opposed to abortion.
Our Governor has said it all and beautifully! I live here in the great state of New Mexico . We have a wonderful diverse culture, the great foods of all those cultures, the colors and sounds of them and all New Mexico’s scenic beauty. I’d love to see the candidates here but I agree: first let’s win! I’m voting blue all down the ballot so our New President and VP can have Congress as well. I’m voting Blue so NM can remain a Free State for women! The future poses many challenges, global warming, conflicts, reworking our institutions to serve We The People because that is the way the economy grows and produces our common wealth. Let’s go into the brightness of an inclusive Future, rather backwards into the Darkness of an imagined past.
❤What happened to the HUGE plan he handed Leslie Stal at his interview years ago. Or the plan that would be ready in two weeks. Liar, liar, liar. He lies about everything. You can’t believe anything he says. He also lied when he said he would never make abortion a national law. He can’t wait. Make this man disappear forever.
