Living a godly life is a transformative journey that requires intentional effort, reliance on God’s word, and submission to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they begin the sanctification process of becoming holy, or set apart. This means living a Godly life that reflects the character of God. To be holy people, we must focus on Christ’s teachings.
In “Peace with God”, Billy Graham outlines ten guidelines for Christian living, emphasizing that God is the only way to find authentic personal peace in a world in crisis. The core theme of Christianity is reliance on Jesus, as it is the only way to save us from the grace of new birth to the glory of heaven. Cultivating habits such as prayer, studying God’s Word, obedience to God, and forgiving others can change our character and draw us closer to God.
Top 10 tips for Christian living include relying on Jesus, praying, reading the Bible, quiet time, witnessing, good works, keeping short accounts, and presenting oneself to God as approved and correct. There are also 10 easy Christian habits to help you live a godly life: praying intentionally, reading scripture daily, studying the Bible, and worshipping God.
A godly life involves being aware of God’s presence in our lives and wanting to please him in every way. It’s living a life centered in Christ, seeking God, fearing God, loving God, believing God, and not deceiving others. By following these tips, individuals can develop a holy lifestyle and experience greater peace in their relationship with God.

What are the 7 steps to holiness?
The 7-step pattern for growing in holiness involves conversion at the level of desire, facing the nothingness of sin, temptation and vacillation, holiness means belonging, embracing the grace of suffering, union with God, and virtue of the heart. The Passion offers a pattern for our growth in holiness and the challenges it poses. The first words Jesus speaks in the Passion Narrative echo the opening words of John’s Gospel, asking the disciples of John the Baptist what they are looking for. The answer is Jesus Christ himself, as Jesus Christ himself is the answer in both cases.
What are the 8 fundamentals of life?
CSU Pueblo emphasizes the importance of wellness, which comprises eight dimensions: emotional, physical, occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and financial. Neglecting any dimension can negatively impact health, well-being, and quality of life. A balanced wellness approach engages the body, mind, and spirit, promoting positivity and motivation for healthy habits. Each dimension of wellness helps create an environment that nurtures and builds a healthy lifestyle, ensuring a holistic harmony for personal well-being.

What are the 7 basic life principles?
In the 1960s and 1970s, Bill Gothard’s material gained popularity as an alternative to the hippie movement’s perceived harmful effects, including the use of illicit drugs and a sense of apathy. He espoused seven fundamental Christian principles: design, authority, responsibility, suffering, ownership, freedom, and success.
How to live a life full of God?
Living life with God involves spending time in prayer, practicing everyday dependance on God, and regularly reading God’s Word. Jesus, as our ultimate model of communion with God, often withdrew from others to spend time in prayer. As a new follower of Jesus, one must navigate their faith and learn to live a life for God rather than themselves. The first few years of following Jesus were incredible, as God’s Word penetrated the depths of one’s soul and spirit, leading them out of addictions and lusts into a life of service and mission.
The consistent prayer was “God, use my life for your kingdom”. As a couple, they pursued global missions, focusing on reading scripture, preparing lessons, and volunteering. They saw God move in amazing ways, from the slums of India to the refugee camps of the Middle East, fulfilling their prayer.
What are the 7 habits of holiness?
The author proposes seven daily habits to achieve holiness: morning offering, spiritual reading, Holy Rosary, Holy Mass, Communion, mental prayer, Angelus recitation, and a brief conscience examination at night. These habits store spiritual energy and enable individuals to bring Christ to others through friendship. Apostolic action without sacraments and a deep interior life will be ineffective. Saints have integrated these habits into their daily routines, and the goal is to be like them, contemplative in the middle of the world. The author emphasizes several points before examining the habits.
How can I live a righteous life?
In order to conduct one’s life in a way that glorifies God, one can look at Psalm 15, which emphasizes walking with integrity, working righteousness, speaking truth in one’s heart, and not slandering with one’s tongue. The Latin words Coram Deo and Soli Deo Gloria, which mean “in the presence of God” and “in the presence of God”, are particularly meaningful to the speaker. These phrases remind them of Psalm 139:7, where David emphasizes the importance of being in the presence of God. The speaker also reflects on the beauty of Latin phrases like Coram Deo and Soli Deo Gloria, which prompt them to question what it means to live righteously.
How can I live a more godly life?
The seven non-negotiables for life are centered on the Lord, bringing glory to Him alone. These principles are essential for a healthy Christian life, as they guide us towards seeking God, not sin, fearing God, loving God, believing God, obeying God, serving God, and worshipping God.
As believers, we must focus on these non-negotiables to glorify God. These non-negotiables include changing the oil, filling the tank with gasoline, topping off the transmission fluid, and having tires with adequate tread. These non-negotiables must be defined to maintain and fulfill them.
The first principle is to seek God, not sin. As sinful creatures, our hearts are naturally prone to wander from our Creator. Our souls were made to pursue God, know God, and walk with Him, and only as we pursue Him can we live.
In the book of Amos, God repeatedly attempts to get the attention of His people, but they have not returned to Him. Amos 5:4 reminds us that life is found in seeking Him, and we will only find life in doing so. By focusing on these non-negotiables, we can live a life that glorifies God and brings glory to Him alone.
What does it take to live a godly life?
A godly life is centered on God’s presence and desire to please Him. It involves living a life centered in Christ, walking in His way, and constantly questioning what Jesus would do or what He would have us do. This life involves spiritual warfare against sin through God’s word and prayer. Although it may be challenging, Jesus never promised an easy life. Despite hardships and persecution, the ultimate reward is the glory to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18 reminds us that the suffering of this present time is not worth comparing to the glory to come.
What are the rules for a godly life?
One should endeavor to live a holy, moderate, and honest life before God, oneself, and one’s neighbors. It is imperative to maintain a sense of modesty, conduct oneself with courtesy, offer friendly admonitions, demonstrate a willingness to forgive, keep promises, speak wisely, and share blessings generously.
📹 The Seven Habits of a Godly Life – Dr. Charles Stanley
Brushing teeth, drinking a cup of coffee, scrolling through social media—habits like these streamline the rhythm of our daily lives.
1. Repent of sins 2. Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice for God 3. Don’t be like ppl in this world but change how you think 4. Don’t think of yourself highly 5. Devote yourself to the gift God has given you 6. Love sincerely, hate evil, and cling on to what is good. 7. Don’t be lazy in showing devotion, but give your energy to God.
I consider myself a God fearing man and love God and try to live a good life but I am a constant sinner that can’t seem to turn away from the wrongs I do (unsaid circumstances seem to keep me trapped). I pray constanty but know I am weak and try to muster the strength to change my ways. I also hope to find myself a good strong God fearing woman to keep me on the path Jesus showed us (the numbers of which seem to be dwindling in today’s society). I look for articles such as these to inspire me to one day commit myself fully to God free from sin.
I trusted in the Lord of Jesus Christ as my personal savior into my heart through faith alone, and not of works, by accepting his free gift of salvation, by his grace on February 16, 1996, each day, I confess sins for process of sanctification, to receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior, please refer to Matthew 10:28, John 3:16-18:36, 5:24, 6:37:47, 10:27-29, 14:6, Acts 2:38, 16:30-31, Romans 1:16, 3:23, 4:5, 6:23, 10:9-10:13, Ephesians 2:8-10, and Titus 3:5. God bless the world, and thank you for sharing.
“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having WIPED OUT THE HANDWRITING OF REQUIREMENTS that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross” (Colossians 2:13-14). BE FREE IN FAITH!
3:30 I feel the need to point out that it is impossible to not ever sin. The only physical being on earth that never sinned is Jesus. You are going to sin, but because Jesus died on the cross, God offers us forgiveness. It is important to try not to sin, but when you do, God will offer you forgiveness unlimited times.
I’m not sure what the Salvation theology of this YouTube website is teaching, and maybe the Ivonne Santos can chime in and give some clarity on how someone is saved. The emphasis in this article is works heavy. Works are good for sanctification, but works can not save a person. Faith in Jesus Christ apart from the works of the law is what saves a person. Lordship Salvation is a very serious problem, so I want to make sure that the viewers here are not believing the false gospel of Lordship Salvation. Remember, it’s not what we can do for God that is important, it’s what God has done for us that is important. Lordship Salvation is nothing new. It has been around since the Apostle Paul, which he addressed in the book of Galatians. Please read…. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Galatians 3:2-3 Paul is calling out Lordship Salvation, a false gospel that was popular back then and is still popular today. It is a serious error that is taught by false teachers like John McArthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, Steve Lawson, and many other false teachers; it sounds biblical and is accepted uncritically, and has infected churches everywhere. I’m sure you’ve heard of this manifestation of Lordship Salvation before…. …We are justified by faith alone, but not by a faith that is alone…. (Or, as the pastor at Redeemer Bible church teaches the same proposition using different words, (“it is true that God’s grace in a mans life inevitability results in obedience”)) Let’s unpack this man-made theological statement; I will demonstrate the false gospel imbedded in it.
I hope I’m wrong in assuming that you think that living the Christian Life and doing everything you suggested in this article is as simple as turning off the light switch. Living the Christian life is not as easy as some Christians make it sound. You will have the Flesh fighting the spirit and all that. You don’t just choose to do it and it happens. Their struggles and failures and more struggles when it comes to living this Christian Life. It just doesn’t happen like clockwork. I’ve been a Christian long enough to know that. I hope that you’re not assuming that. I like that you want people to live a Godly life, so do I. But if Christians think this is going to happen like it’s so simple then that’s not true.
I have been struggling lately. For example, there are things that I may do, but afterwards I feel so horrible for doing the said thing. I am trying my best to do better for the lord I am just having a hard time. Due to me being 17 and still young I have many distractions in my life. I am trying my best to do better. I just dont know how to start and where to start. How to make myself a better person for the lord and for myself. Any advice anyone?

It is so truly a blessing how the Holy Spirit works through and speaks through this man . It is always relevant to what personally I am going through, and from the comments what everyone else is going through at the time . We need to appreciate this man and the truth he preaches ! God Bless you Dr. Charles F. Stanley . You’ve made a great impact on millions of people by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ
Dr. Stanley’s teachings have changed some of my life, it brought me closer to God, even though I don’t see it, I truly say I can feel it., Even though these valleys we go through are rough, we have the good Lord and these teachings to get through it, It is the promise of the Good Lord ” He will never leave Us” we must believe, very hard sometimes, but it truly does work. Amen and thank you ❤
For those who fret over a dislike. Instead Thank God that they’ve tuned in. They are not yet transformed by the Holy Spirit, but they are acknowledging their need for something. Give those negative Nancy’s time and your prayer to come to full surrender. You know we all did not want to hear our faults exposed by the foolishness of preaching. Praise the Lord for those who are coming to seek without even knowing the precious Holy Spirit is drawing them. Just love them and stay on your knees whether in reality or mentally. Grab Your afghan and find your corner of Grace.
What a wonderful focus Pastor Stanley puts on all of his most significant daily messages for us to follow, in applying God’s precepts to our lives. He does it with such humility, and explains everything in a manner in which everyone can grasp those principals with such acuity. Pastor Stanley has truly been called of God. He is a most beloved man of God for all seasons. God bless you Reverend Stanley.
I am so blessed by this message. I ask that all godly people should pray for my marriage. My wife and I have been married for more than 5yrs now and since then we’ve been praying for children to no avail, it’s frustrating and it has affected our lives so much. Doctors report is that she has bilateral hydrosalpinx (blocked fallopian tubes). May God show us mercy. Thank you

I recall as a small child perusal my grandmother always getting on her knees, with knees cracking, to pray to God. I remember wondering what was it that made her want to pray despite the pain she must of felt in her knees. I also remember her always opening up her Bible and reading it. In retrospect, I wonder if she was somewhat illiterate, or just had a limited education. If it was not for her,, I highly doubt I would be a Christian now. I simply learned what it was to be a Christian by simply perusal her.

Dr. Stanley has a unique annointing through which we being honest with ourselves can exercise self-examinations in order to integrate our moral with spiritual practices in becoming better praying people daily as we walk this life’s journey, listening to our Lord and Savior’s guidance and mostly remaining obedient to the message in the holy scriptures of God’s words.

He would not want you fretting over something that you cannot control I enjoyed this summer very much and it’s second time I’ve listened to it and I enjoyed it the second time as well thank you so much for sharing
Charles Stanley has been a staple in my own life since he started his televised program. He is truly a man of God. I read his biography …what a blessing! All the trials he’s been through he has kept his faith and maintained his integrity! A real 21 century apostle. He was the TV pastor who inspired my daughter to go back to her Christian roots. God Bless you Charles as you bless us! Heaven must be looking forward to your coming home whenever the Father decides it’s time.
the seven habits of a godly life is don’t follow God that’s what the entire Old testament and New testament say that’s exactly what every religion says don’t follow false gods. You are all following false gods and false prophets what don’t you get about that. Hell your own judeo-christian Bible can’t figure out whether it’s Jewish or Christian. And none of you understand that Jesus wasn’t atheist telling you not to believe in religion and gods
Thank you pastor Charles Stanley for your continues faithfulness to God appreciate every single message you preach. You made a strong influential to my life. I thank God for using you to draw many lost soul to himself including me. God be with you everyday and keep you and give you a blessed and longer life. I 💘 love you pastor Stanley.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever” (1 Jn. 2:15-17
This is definitely a choice!!!! This list should be given to everyone when they go to the altar to give their lives to Christ. 7 Habits of the Godly Life: Choose to live by a standard higher than the world standard!!!! 1 Prayer (take time to be with Jesus with a set aside time just for HIM. KNEE Service) Mark 1:35 Father fill me with you today 2. Trust/Faith (You must believe when you pray The True and Living God will see you through in good and bad times, not doubting) Prov. 3:5-6 3. Meditation in the WORD ( read the WORD, think on it, ask questions to God, listen for answers, alert and aware, filling your mind on things of God) Joshua 1:8 4. Obey God (hear and do ALL HE tells you to do in HIS WORD and what HE speaks to you, your standard set with God’s commandments/law/standard for living, it’s a choice we make willingly continuously) Deuteronomy 27:10 & Deuteronomy 28:1 5. Depend on the Holy Spirit ( the Comforter is the one who leads us and guides us in and to Truth, you must be receiving and welcoming of the Holy Spirit, * I acknowledge The Holy Spirits presence on a daily basis*** ask what you need to do before you move to be aligned with God’s purpose in our lives) Ephesians 5:18 6. Give To God and Others (freely HE gives and we receive so also must we be givers. You will never be in need as long as you give) Luke 6:38 7. Forgiving Others ( as God forgives us our sins so must we forgive others. Ephesians 4:30-32
Good Morning fellow Christians. As well-meaning as Dr. Stanley is and as great as some of his preaching is, there is one thing that cannot be ignored. His adherence to the “Once Saved, always saved” doctrine is dangerous and false. Look at the many articles on YouTube of people who refute this belief with personal experiences and visions from God. To love and believe in Jesus is to live a life that follows His Commands. Of course we fall and can repent, but we must be striving every day to avoid sin. Even the devil believes in Jesus, and where is he? Happy New Year to all.
I listen to you Dr. Stanley as much as possible –God has so richly blessed you as a great preacher to touch so many lives and you have so touched my life . I’ve learned so much from God’s word that I have never learned or felt in my lifetime of going to church. I thank and praise God for you and may he continually bless you in all that you do .
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
I am blessed two months ago to come across Dr Stanley. I’ve been listening to as many of his sermons possible each day. They have really helped me as a christian to learn God’s word, and how to dedicate my life to Jesus Christ. Thank you Dr Stanley, for all that you do and share with us. May God bless you.
Not all the time do you have to be on your knees. You can talk to God, and that’s all that prayer is, talking to God, and you can pray to God while driving your car, while walking, while exercising, and most everything. Most people can’t even hear God speaking to them anyway. This is that old time religion that says you have to be on your knees in a room all by yourself, and that is sort of the bondage because God can hear you anywhere. But God is looking for is a humble heart, in a teachable heart. That is what makes you receptive to hearing God. Jesus is our example and he prayed with all the people standing around before he raised Lazarus. There is a time to pray alone but you can pray while driving to work, while at work, and pretty much all through your day
If you are seeking God in truth and in Spirit, get saved by reading from an all authority, all truth King James book of God’s words; Romans 1:1-4:25 and then declare the righteousness of God. That is how to Fear God and give glory to Him in this dispensation of time. The “everlasting gospel” is to 1. Fear God. 2. Give glory to Him. 3. Worship God alone. You can fear God by listening to Romans 1:1-4:25. He is the only one that can enable you to experience moral compunction, so you CAN turn back to Him. That is what it means to repent. Then put your trust in Jesus, and have faith His shed blood is propitiation for your lifetime of sin. Then be fully persuaded just like Abraham, that God – who cannot lie – will do everything He has promised in His word. Then declare His righteousness. Give glory to God. And He will know. Because when you read His book, He reads you back. Romans 3:24-26 is proof He is waiting for you to declare His righteousness. So He can justly, justifiably, impute His righteousness on you. A believer in the right Jesus, of God’s perfect snd pure book in English. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Also, do the opposite of the following 7 that God hates/ despises: 16There are six things The Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him: 17haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. Proverbs 6
Jesus (The Father) and His Christ is in you. Do you seek him? Seek Him inside of you. He dwells in you. (*2 Cor 13:5) Go in meditation, go to Him in Spirit and call on Him. He is your very being, …He is the 2nd Man Adam, who is from Heaven (1 Cor 15: 45-48 ), the Spiritual man in each of us. The 1st man Adam, is the natural, physical, earthly man, the flesh & blood (John 3:31) cover with hair, the Esau (Gen 2:7; Gen 25:23-26; John 5:21; John 6:57; Roman 5:14;) Romans chapters 7 & 8 speaks of God (Jesus) and His son (Christ, the Messiah) death in the sinful, flesh of man. THE Spiritual man (the I AM) (God) dwells in every man, woman & child. Man’s body is the dwelling place, the tent, the land, the nation, the burial tomb which holds the Lord, God, Father of all. The I AM. It started in Genesis when God created man, (let us (Elohim) make man) then God occupied man and became invisible (hid his face, Isaiah 54:8), as The living Spirit, in man.. (Gen 6) Elohim (all the sons of God) took man as wives (occupy the physical body). Isaiah 45:11; 54:6 Your maker is your Husband (Isaiah 54:5; Hosea 2: 16-19; Isaiah 57:16; Gal 5:16-17; Psalm 78:39; John 3:6;
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT YE, AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. THE GOSPEL (which means the Good News) is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. He gave up his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 KJV He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT. John 20:28-29 KJV And Thomas answered and said unto him, MY LORD AND MY GOD. Man $16 a week, it reminds me of how back then you could get a lot for 10 cents. Money had more value back then now people are getting paid $16 an hour not a week. So to me the wisdom of the elderly historically is really cool. They were around. You get a wifff of New York before it smelt like a used urinal cake out there.
LORD JESUS CHRIST preached the whole Truth but HE died without Followers, except HIS Disciples. When HE went to yhe Cross, only one of HIS Disciples was there, John the Beloved. The LORD says “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?” Matthew:10:25 ☝️ Therefore, stop following men who draw many followers to themselves like Paul Washer, a False Teacher. He is so good at misleading you because he and the others preach heresy in a very subtle way. 👇 Remember this verse 👇 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, THEY SHALL DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT. Matthew:24:24 “Behold, I have told you before.” Matthew:24:25 Finally, “For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” Matthew:24:28 May you go and read the WORD “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy:2:15 And ask the HOLY GHOST, our COMFORTER and Teacher to teach you all things for your understanding in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST Amen 🙏❤ “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John:14:26 Peace and Grace
The only gospel for salvation in the grace age is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. and read Romans 10:9-10. The power of God for salvation Romans 1:16 & 1 Corinthians 1:18.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 NIV Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.

What makes this funny “The 7 habits of a Godly Life” is that its a form of legalism…which Christ died on the Cross to eliminate. This is the type of teaching that the Sadducees and Pharisees attempted to make the people do which Jesus spoke out against. When you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior, all forms of legalism, so called “seven habits of a Godly Life” is removed from your walk. You walk by Faith. The Law of Faith. Not by 7, 10, 20, or 613 habits to live a Godly Life. Only one habit…placing your complete Faith in the Cross of Christ.

Matthew Chapter 19 1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judea beyond Jordan; 2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. 3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, for this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder. 7 They say unto him, Why did Moses them command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake.
