Is Seed A Licensed Daycare Facility?

To verify a child care center’s licensing, search by state and follow the link to your state’s Department of Licensing. To obtain a child care license, you need to get the site of your business approved by municipal zoning officers and health and safety officials. The Child Care Regulatory Program monitors child care centers and licensed homes to ensure they meet the quality, health, and safety standards detailed within the child care licensing.

To find out if your daycare is licensed, use Winnie, which contains all of their licensing information and a link to check out their recent reviews. Child care centers usually are required to be licensed, but there are some exceptions, such as programs with a religious affiliation in some states.

License-exempt child care is child care that does not legally need a license to operate. Some types of child care are license-exempt, such as Seed and Sew, Seeds of Excellence Childcare Center, Seed of Life Center for Early Learning and Preschool, LLC, and Seeds Early Learning Center. Most states have one license per facility, but some require multiple licenses depending on the location.
