I’m not loving the new Sex and the City series either. I understand that they’ve always been trendy and pushed the envelope but….I feel like they’ve thrown together all these social issues just to say they’ve covered it. It feels forced and not a natural flow. I don’t care if they eventually cover but they need to make it flow and not just rush it to hit the bullets. Also, I don’t love what they’ve done to Miranda. The idea that she would have an extra marital affair because her husband is aging and all that entails is a bit cruel honestly. Wow, they are all beautiful pieces on there own but together they are amazing. Not sure if I could pull off the Tull skirt here in Newfoundland,Canada…😜but the rest are workable. It’s like you give us ladies a reason to get dressed up,even if we aren’t going anywhere. First and foremost, you look great so don’t worry about the weight gain. I know, we all obsess, however, this is who you are and you are great as you are. I heard a podcast the other day where the person being interviewed said that he changed his goals after seeing what happens to so many of his patients. Instead of worrying about outward appearance, his goal is to stay strong enough to continue carrying 4 bags of groceries up four floors in his apartment in NYC at age 90. To be able to get up off of the floor with only one point of support. This changes one’s way of thinking about oneself. Constantly dieting destroys your bones. So many women fall and have horrible outcomes. After menopause, we lose bone strength every year. On a different note, I love the stirrup pant look and the tulle skirt with the Balmain blazer. You carry both of them off to a T.
Looks like the sleeves of that fuzzy sweater don’t fit into the sleeves of the white coat? I find one needs to be careful about coats if you want to wear anything other than a collared shirt or thin sweater under it. Tulle: there for it! A couple years ago I found one (black) at H&M and cannot imagine ever getting rid of it. For white, I have a cream slip skirt that I love with chunky white boots (lace-up, still narrow at ankle) and a cosy knit.

How to pick favorites…the tulle skirt, the Veronica Beard jacket and wide leg pants, the coat, and omg that gorgeous maxi dress is perfect. I was surprised when I thought about it, I actually have quite a few pieces of winter white. Do you remember your Scoop off white cable heavy sweater. It was twenty degrees last week and I pulled it out to wear.. One of my favorite winter white pieces is a winter white wool long coat that was given to me. It was too small, but now having lost fourteen pounds it fits well. I am doing a lower carb diet and I feel energized and have lost that foggy feeling I had sometimes. I love the winter white look and you pull it off so well. People don’t dress up around here but I think it is fun. I remember my Italian grandfather sitting in their beautiful dining room eating spaghetti…always spaghetti on Sundays… with a white starched dress shirt, tie and beautiful jacket. I am loving the white boots, but living in New England they’re not functional. I remember having a pair of chunky heel White Mary Jane’s back in the 90s and wearing them to my high school graduation, they were the shoe to have that summer and I loved them!!! I was big into stirrup pants, as was my mom, if she were alive today, she would be sold on this trend, she was tall and thin, and stirrup pants really showcased her long legs. Wild! I just bought the Free People Southwest Maxi Dress in ivory this weekend and wanted to pair it with a great light beige oversized cashmere cardigan. Love it with the exception that the dress is so low in the front. Free People is my go-to for boho. I really want to wear this outfit just need to figure out what to wear underneath. Loved the knit winter white wrap dress with the white coat. Also, can’t wear white coats too much in the winter here, because of the rain and snow we get a lot of here in my neck of the woods. So saying that, how do you keep your winter white coat clean? I know you said you don’t dry clean anything but my coat needs to have the dry cleaning done otherwise I can’t get the spots out that always end up on the bottom part of my winter white coat.

I enjoy your articles though I feel I must give you constructive criticism. You play with your hands the entire time you talk and its extremely distracting from the clothes and you as a model/person modeling the clothes. Watch back one of your articles and see for yourself. I bought two of the Cos tube dresses after seeing you wearing it a while back and now that I’ve seen you style it with the cut out jumper and Zara aviator jacket I would love to buy them both. Am going to dig out my ridiculously expensive italian outfit that I bought a few years back in Verona and hardly ever wore 🙈 The colour is “panna” 😊 and you just gave me ideas how to put it to use and more than anything, how to love it again! And I love to finish the look with bold red lips. Instant glam! Finding the right shade of handbag is proving more difficult than I anticipated given that winter whites are on trend I expected a plethora. if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them. I love Lily Silk, it’s been my go-to brand for several years. I wear only natural-fiber fabrics, if I can get them, especially on my torso. I wish they would add more colors and styles with stretchy waists in their bottoms, but I just got my first custom-sized (no extra charge) order in a pair of their silk joggers, they’re great.
I love winter whites, but I have a difficult time keeping them clean. Every outfit is stunning. My favorite piece is the long white coat. Where did you get it and in what style?
