You need to tap an instance of the chore which is either in the “to do” or “overdue” list. A wise person once said; “To understand one’s mental health, is to see how dirty or clean the person’s house is.” But back on topic; when it comes to washing the dishes, don’t freaking lie to yourself about not having murderous intentions when you are washing the dishes out of nowhere your friend/ relative shows up with dirty ones, plops them into the clean dish water, and then walks away without giving a crap; literally expecting you to clean them for them because you’re already doing the dishes.
Washing dishes is the worst one especially when your dishwasher is broken and you gotta do em by hand and the sinks tiny asf with big ass pots and pans that won’t even fit to be rinsed off. Also when your family members see you’re doin em so they bring all the dishes from their room with food that’s been sitting for days or weeks even and then the sinks are filled to the point of it being impossible to even begin.

Chores are a pain in the ass, but what’s far more agonizing is getting so busy with work or school (well, I have to do both) that you don’t get time/energy for chores and then you watch as your house turns to a mess. Believe me, after having to study for a big exam for months on top of a heavy work schedule, I am GRATEFUL for the chance to get my chores done.
My least favorite chores would have to be cleaning the living room in general because not only do you have to sweep/vacuum the floor (depends on what kind of floor you have and whether or not you have a rug) but you also have to vacuum the couch cushions, wipe off the coffee table and the shelves. And to add insult to injury, if you live with someone who leaves trash laying around, then you gotta do extra prep work before actually cleaning the living room. Not to mention the people who’ll sit there and yell at you about “HoW tHeY cAn’T hEaR tHe FoOtBaLl GaMe OvEr ThE vAcUuM cLeAnEr” while you’re trying to clean.
I keep my room organized and clean for the most part, but the thing that I have to worry about is dust. On top of that, I have a pet rabbit that sheds like a cat, so now I have rabbit fur everywhere. The worst chore I have to do is around May when we open and clean the pool.we have an above ground pool and not only do you have to pull the cover off with all sorts of horrific algae growing on it,but you also have to mix and pour in chemicals that would make your nose contract like Squidwards if you get a whiff of them.
Bro the worst one out of every chore is washing the dishes. It’s not the prune fingers, food in the sink, or people putting dishes there as I am almost done. It’s the fact that since I am tall, and I have to bend down just to do dishes and I be in pain the entire time. And on top of that for some odd reason when washing dishes, I immediately get tired for no apparent reason. Washing dishes is hell for anyone and everyone.
You forgot to mention vacuuming the stairs. Like you gotta haul that vacuum that feels like it weighs more than me. And then you gotta worry about the cord pulling out of the outlet because it got tangled around some bench or bag. And then there’s when the vacuum stumbles down the stairs and you have to pray to the lord that your mom doesn’t have to stop what she’s doing and yell “what was that?”
You gotta cover types of students in fights. Some examples off the top of my head would be the ones who keep trying to hit you in the nuts, the people who try to do some Karate Kid ass choreography, and the people who start pulling out the most miscellaneous objects to use as weapons (like spray deodorant)
Mowing the lawn during the summer. I absolutely hate doing this as I live in Texas, and in Texas, the average summer day is about 100 degrees Fahrenheit which forces me to wake up earlier than I want to with about 3 hours of sleep if i don’t want to suffer from heat stroke. I could mow the lawn during like 7 pm when the sun is about to set, but my parents don’t let me cause the neighbors won’t like the noise when they are about to sleep. But i bet it’s more annoying to be hearing an engine of a mower in the morning than in the late afternoon. Also, my lawn is pretty big, and I often spend about 1 hours plus an extra 30 minutes to cut the grass the mower can’t reach with the weed whacker. The only good thing about this is the fact that I gain 20 dollars for my efforts.
Luckily in my family me and my siblings all rotate around the chores every week, but that just means I have to dread the day I have to wash dishes, and those really be the slowest weeks to, also Saturdays suck too cuz out of nowhere I could be enjoying my weekend like a normal person and then suddenly mom tells us to put up our games and start up with Saturday chores
That awkward irritation I get when my mom does the dishes after complaining that I didn’t do them, then proceeds to deny me access to finally do them and she bitches about the dishes the whole time. 0:37 I’ve been waiting for this one. When it comes to chores, the one I DESPISED was doing the dishes. At our house, the sink in the kitchen was absolutely messed up. Whenever any water goes down into the drain, it proceeds to drip into the basement. (Apparently it’s like that because our house is really old.) So we had to do the dishes with a basin in the sink, and as it filled up with dirty dishwater and the occasional food particles, we tossed that water away into the backyard in a basin that disposed the water outside our house. And remember when I said that the faucet of our sink leaks down in the basement? Well we have a bucket underneath to collect all of the water that we dispose as well. And it overfills sometimes. So we have to use a DIRTY AH McDonald’s or Burger King cup to throw some of the water away separately before disposing of the rest. But yeah it FUCKING SUCKS
Well aside from the usual chores here and there, my main chore (one of 3 kids) is u have to do trash. Sounds annoying but it is what it is. Worst thing is that I have to hike the length of a football field to park the T W O trashcan at the end of the drive. I have to also pull both of these cans back up to the house the morning after. Doesn’t sound completely horrible yet? That’s because I haven’t mentioned the fact that our driveway is cracked and uneven as hell after about 50 feet into it. The house was built in the 60s and even tho we got the house renovated, we aren’t really willing to fix up the driveway. Is what it is man.
Mowing the lawn is the ABSOLUTE WORST. -Get up early as fuck, no matter the day. -Depending on your parents, you may not get breakfast before starting. -Also, may not change out of your pajamas (if you sleep in any). -Noise is jarring as hell and annoying. -Grass clippings make you sneeze and stick all over your legs and shoes. -You always had to do the whole yard before going back inside, sometimes taking until noon. -You get so sweaty that you look like you got blasted by a hose, and stink like a dumpster on fire in a sewer. -Literal days after you cut the grass, it all grows back and you gotta do it all over again.

I just put the dishes straight into the washing machine. I lived in an apartment with no dish washer for a year and it was literally almost as bad of an experience as being stuck in between two tornadoes that were both less than a mile away from said apartment. FUCK doing dishes! Laundry is fine because it’s a very rapid gratitude sort of thing. Vacuuming would be okay if it wasn’t so noisy. Taking garbage out is meh. But seriously, fuck doing the dishes. I’ll literally take on 2-3 extra chores in order to not have to touch a single slimy piece of dish ever again.
