Maybe I’m just late… but I took my sweet time with this game and a lot of things are told to you throughout it if you just read and pay attention, I’m still playing it now, (bought it for myself Jan. 2nd 2021 and I’m on file 8ish? Love the vid! Not really a major tip, but a small detail I’ve noticed is that after binding enemies, they will break out of being chained MUCH sooner if you immediately attack them vs if you let them sit for a second or two. Like, after chain binding, if you use the sync attack to close the gap to an enemy then dodge to get behind them, you will get off fewer attacks than if you just manually ran over dodged to get behind them, then began the same attacks.
The camera in this game still so bad. At times you feel like a complete badass fighting but most of the time the game annoys me with the side activities and bad camera during the fights. The platforming section every single time that you visit the astral realm is bad too. I wish this game had a better camera and be more action focused just like bayonetta.
i know this is old but i recently got into the game and one thing i learned very late game is that some combos continue even beyond the first synch attack for example after the baton combo into sword legion synch you can attack again imdiately after leading into another synch, it pays to read the help section for each legion becuase some of those combos go on far longer than i first thought, one of my favorites is the gladius attack combo into axe synchs which goes fursther into anorther attack and synch as it does tons of damage while keeing you shielded and has a fairly large attack range too

Always do Maintenance! They’re your partners. They keep you alive. Even more so when you treat them right. Some you can’t complete the first time around. You need Arm Legion before you get it, Axe Legion before you get it. I’m annoyed I got to File 6 without finding out that ‘Game Over’ doesn’t mean you restart the game. If I had known that I would’ve done Casual first instead of Unchained, then restart the File and do it again with Platinum Standard, since Platinum Standard is for people who are actually used to action games. The only games I played with this style of combat is EOS, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo 3: ODST, and Dragon Raja. I am horrible at this kind of game because the enemies don’t stay still, there are timed Cases (which with my Anxiety makes it worse than if it wasn’t), and everything else that Pokemon and Blue Dragon doesn’t have.
