Does Goodwill Offer Daycare To Its Employees?

Goodwill Childcare offers services for children ages infant to age 4, including those with disabilities, and accepts private and subsidized pay through Job and Family Services’ childcare assistance program. The company plans to open its Chillicothe daycare in August, opening dozens of child care slots for employees and non-employees alike. Goodwill Childcare provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children, enabling parents to work or return to the workforce.

With rising costs of child care, employer-provided daycare is crucial for parents. Goodwill GoodGuides® is a national mentoring program for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are at risk for making harmful choices such as dropping out of school or dropping out of school. More employers have started offering child care benefits, but they are still in the minority.

Employer child care benefits help employees better manage the demands of working and parenting, solve three core problems: finding care, affording care, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Goodwill Childcare caters to infants and children up to age 4, including those with disabilities, and accepts both private and subsidized child care slots.

Goodwill Industries of West Michigan is a designated MI Tri-Share Child Care Program that assists qualifying employees with child care costs. Employees have access to counseling services, financial planning resources, childcare assistance, and more. Goodwill’s mission-driven work helps people address issues proactively before they can impact work, addressing financial struggles, food insecurity, housing concerns, medical issues, childcare concerns, and other barriers affecting their lives.
