  • With the digital nomad visa will I have to pay taxes in Colombia. My problem is I make too much $$$. Yes I know first world problems but hear me out. As an American we have to file taxes with the IRS no matter where we live in the world and becoming a tax resident in another country can subject me to double taxation. I spend a lot of time in zero tax countries for that reason alone but as modern and high tech as Dubai is I am tired of it. Costa Rica is nice it gets boring after you’ve been there a while. I know you can exempt up to $120K or so as an overseas exemption but I make more than that and I’m not willingly signing up to become a tax resident of another country. Can I reside in Colombia with this visa and not pay Colombian taxes?
