Are The Olympic Garments Retained By The Athletes?

Ralph Lauren is providing fans with the opportunity to purchase uniforms and other apparel and accessories for American athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Over 1,000 Team USA athletes, coaches, and staff are being fitted for their Opening and Closing Ceremony outfits, designed by Ralph. The opening ceremony features a variety of outfits, including blazers or jackets, jackets, T-shirts, sweatpants, backpacks, slides, and several pairs of sneakers.

The USA Olympic committee supplies all uniforms for its participants, but only for the Olympics. Women track and field athletes can wear any combination of men’s or women’s outfits, but they are not allowed to wear promotional or advertising signage on their outfits. Each athlete spends 40 to 60 minutes with the tailoring team at Ralph Lauren to get fitted, and the tailoring team must be precise in their alterations.

Athletes from various countries are expected to rock the coolest looks for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of Paris 2024. The conversation about dress codes highlights that women’s uniforms have never been about just basic comfort and performance. Ralph Lauren is handling the outfits for the opening and closing ceremonies, as is tradition. The opening ceremony will feature a parade of athletes wearing outfits that convey formal dignity and a more relaxed look.
