What is the state of being careful to treat everyone the same?

In formal contexts, the terms “egalitarian,” “equitable,” and “unbiased” are employed to describe a state of fairness. The term “egalitarian” is used to describe a system where all individuals are afforded equal opportunities and treatment. In contrast, the term “equitable” is used to indicate that a system is fair because all individuals are treated equally. The term “impartial” or “unbiased” is used to describe a system in which an individual is not influenced by their personal opinions or attempting to gain an advantage.

What is Joker’s MBTI type?

The Joker, a character in films, is often portrayed as an ENTP personality type, known for being charismatic, clever, and quick-witted. This type is often seen as having the power to sway events in unexpected ways, similar to the Joker in card games or poker. The character’s motivations, actions, and thought process are often left open to interpretation, making him a fascinating and intriguing character that people can’t help but be drawn to. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) classifies the Joker as an ENTP, known for being charismatic, clever, and quick-witted.

The character’s power to sway events in unexpected ways is often attributed to the actor’s portrayal of the character, the director’s vision, or the story itself. The true reason people are connected to the Joker is due to his unique and complex personality.

What personality type is social justice?

INFJs are compassionate, idealistic, and creative individuals with a deep understanding of human nature. They are often found in careers in counseling, social justice, and the arts. INTJs are intelligent, logical, and independent, often found in engineering, science, and technology. ISTPs are hands-on, practical, and mechanical, often found in engineering, mechanics, and construction. ISFPs are creative, expressive, and individualistic, passionate about their interests and have a strong sense of personal style. These traits make them suitable for various careers, including counseling, social justice, engineering, science, and technology.

Which MBTI has the strongest sense of justice?

INFPs are compassionate, idealistic, and sensitive individuals with a strong sense of justice, often found in counseling, social work, and arts. INTPs are intelligent, logical, and independent, often found in science, engineering, and mathematics. ESTPs are outgoing, adventurous, and spontaneous, often found in sales, marketing, and business. These traits make them suitable for various career paths, including counseling, social work, science, engineering, and mathematics.

Which MBTI is mentally stronger?

The definition of “mentally stronger” is contingent upon the manner in which it is defined. According to statistical analysis, INTJs are ranked first, followed by INTPs, INFJs, and ENTPs.

What is the antithesis of social justice?

What is the antithesis of social justice?

Modern slavery is a significant issue that contradicts social justice and sustainable development. Despite efforts to collect data, reliable information on the entire population subjected to modern slavery is not available. Survey data is insufficient for estimating cases of children in modern slavery and individuals subjected to forced commercial sexual exploitation. Interviewing a representative sample is challenging due to ethical issues and potential stigma associated with these populations.

Survey data is considered reliable for adult forced labor exploitation and forced marriage, but not for forced commercial sexual exploitation and forced labor exploitation of children. An odds ratio is used to extrapolate these hidden populations from CTDC data.

What is the paradox of justice?

The paradox arises from the fact that both present and future justice criteria must be met for a just outcome, yet they are often in conflict with one another. The aspiration is for a just society that satisfies both conditions; however, the reality of the world often forces a choice between them. This paradox underscores the necessity for a balanced approach to justice, one that addresses both present and future issues in a just society.

What is the opposite of a social justice warrior?

The term “social justice warrior” is used to describe an individual who respects the rights of others to hold and express beliefs, or to behave in any manner they choose, provided that their actions do not cause harm to others.

What is a paradox of social injustice?

In “From the Dark Tower”, Countee Cullen explores the paradox of social injustice, highlighting the practice of slavery, racial discrimination, and the hardships faced by Black Americans during slavery. The poem highlights the pain and anger felt by many people, as the unfair treatment of others and the reaping of their hard work has been happening for a long time. Cullen also emphasizes that if the “other” people are stronger than you, you have to live with it as you do not possess the power and authority to stop it.

The poem refers to black Americans and others to white Americans, and Culled suggests that there might come a day when those considered inferior will gain authority and lead the “other” people. The natural system of justice is unbiased, and all people are given equal opportunity to grow and flourish. However, those who enforce racial segregation are typically isolated groups in society.

What are the characteristics of a social justice warrior?

What are the characteristics of a social justice warrior?

The term “Social Justice Warrior” (SJW) is a term and meme that refers to individuals who promote socially progressive, left-wing, or liberal views, such as feminism, civil rights, gay and transgender rights, and multiculturalism. The term originated in the late 20th century as a neutral term for people engaged in social justice activism. However, its negative connotations gained prominence during the Gamergate controversy, leading to the adoption of the term by the alt-right.

Dating back to 1824, the term social justice refers to justice on a societal level. From the early 1990s to the early 2000s, the term was used as a neutral or complimentary phrase, with union activist Michel Chartrand being described as a “Quebec nationalist and social-justice warrior”. The accusation of someone being an SJW implies that they are pursuing personal validation rather than deep-seated convictions and engaging in disingenuous arguments.

  • My woke Cousins have never hung out with a black person ever. I brought my black roommate to Thanksgiving once, and they where talking to him like he just got pulled out of an African tribe, and didn’t understand what anything was. He got really offended, but he let it slide cause he was a guest. I had some words with them though.

  • It’s honestly comically scary how racists and wokies have such similar worldviews but for the entirety different reasons. Racists think they’re better than others and are getting sidelined. While wokies think others are lesser then them and others are being sidelined. One hates others because they believe they are better, the other hates themself because they believe others are beneath them. And I honestly don’t know what’s worse.

  • I remember when the Woke crowd start claiming orcs in D&D are representation of black people, my immediate and only thought was only legitimate racists could reach that conclusion. Then it all clicks together when you start asking “Are the Woke actually just racists?” when thinking about what they do and say

  • This is actually something called “Horseshoe Theory.” Basically, it’s the theory that the political spectrum isn’t the line it’s commonly thought to be, but rather more like a horseshoe shape, where the further you go in either direction after a certain point, the closer the two sides get to believing the same things, albeit generally for different reasons. It’s very interesting and, personally, I believe in it.

  • I have some white dude at a bar called me a black grifter because I voted for Trump when I pointed out the fact that he’s highlighting my race with his feelings and that he’s putting me in a category and he sounds kind of racist. He shut up and walked away, it trips me out how racist the racist can truly be

  • The woke people would definitely find this more offensive. Racist people, especially the worse ones like the KKK don’t care who they are compared to, they just want total segregation no matter what. The whole idea behind being woke is about putting yourself with an ideal group and having an ideal mindset, so as soon as you start telling those folks their ideas are closer to what actual racists think they’ll get easily offended because they try so hard to sound not racist, when they are actually being pretty racist.

  • Reminds me if when I talked about my half black brother (half brother technically, but in our minds we’re just brothers). A woke woman told me “you mean African American 😡”. I couldn’t explain to her that he was neither African or American because we are french, he just happens to be a slightly different color.

  • “Political correctness is America’s newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness, yet attempts to restrict and control people’s language with strict codes and rigid rules. I’m not sure that’s the way to fight discrimination. I’m not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech.” George Carlin

  • I remember when I was getting trained for a job and had to take racial sensitivity training. The teacher literally said “when you look at me, I want you to see my race first…” We were later asked to complete a survey and I told them I was absolutely offended by the course. My grandparents watched MLK give his “I have a dream” speech and here we are undoing that. I hate it here.

  • This article aged so well, ESPECIALLY with the “free palestine” college protests, like the jewish kids at Cooper Union who had to be evacuated underground because “free palestine” protesters tried to bust down the door to the library a handful of jewish kids were in, the article of it is downright disturbing, who would’ve thought the wokies had more in common with the third reich instead of all the people they strawmaned as “fascists” this whole time, the writing was on the wall people, what a twist, I know

  • lol i remember, one of my friends, who’s black, came to my home for dinner one day and started talking about how oppressed the black community was and all about that. my asian parents were just calmly listening, agreeing, and commenting on it. she brought up the thing about dreadlocks and all my dad said was “it’s just a hairstyle? i thought everyone was supposed to mingle cultures, that’s how many traditions form?” and she went WILD. she started calling my family racist and said asian people are trying hard to get oppressed. my dad asked me not to invite her again if she can’t take someone’s opinion 🙂 my other black friends never did this tho. i’m genuinely asking the black community, why is it wrong for others to like dreadlocks?

  • The other day someone told me they were called by Human Resources because they didn’t say Latinx I’m an actual Latin American person and Latinx is a term we cannot pronounce, so it’s actually not inclusive at all, it’s just something English speaking woke people made up and are now punishing those who do not use it, even though the majority of Latin Americans are absolutely against that term, myself included. So, if you are Latin American but don’t use Latinx, you are xenophobic!

  • This reminds me of a discussion I’ve had on Instagram in a comment section. There was a short clip of an actor (white, blond, male) with braided hair. It looked absolutely great and I commented how wonderful it looked on him. Next thing this guy replied to my comment that it was absolutely terrible and offensive. I asked, why tf it’s offensive because what’s wrong with men wearing braids? He then wrote that he’s not black so he shouldn’t wear braids because only black people should have braids. I was shocked and confused. WTF?? As a german this is really weird because this is not that different from Nazis telling people to only shop at german stores and never ever shop at Jewish stores. And we can hopefully all agree that this was/ IS totally wrong.

  • I for one love that the “woke” people have documented their racism so willingly and openly. Even so extensively that they made huge amounts of movies and TV series completely and only based on their racism and showing the world proudly how much better they think they are. Not even the Nazis were that thorough.

  • Comedy aside, they have common way of thinking because they are both extremes. Woke people would never consider discimination on white people to be actual discrimination. THis is a view point, very accepted in the US but certainly not outside of the US. For example the poem “The Hill We Climb” by Amanda Gorman, read on the Biden inauguration day needed to be translated into multiple languages. For Europe multiple good and respected poets were chosen to do these translation only to be turned down eventually by the American publisher because they weren’t black. The publisher wanted a black person to do the translation and preferably also be a woman. It doesn’t matter how much experience or how good the poet who was doing the translation was, if they weren’t black they weren’t allowed to do the translations. This by itself is discrimination and it’s based on skin color. But since it’s applies to white people (or non blacks) it’s not understood as such. This is what “wokeness” is. It falls into the same extremist traps of racism only it’s convientently not viewed as such. It’s a seriously hypocritical attitude and in Europe at leas (I bet you heard nothing about this in the US) it sturred up controversy and disbelief. No, being woke is not all good, you can’t be demanding change with a knife stuck on your throat. It’s not how that works.

  • Seriously! Had an interaction with a woke “anti-racist” in the replies to a Ben Shapiro tweet re: Blind Auditions for Orchestras. He insisted that there needed to be more diversity and less qualifications, that little black kids needed to see themselves in the orchestra members, and that even though the Orchestra would sound awful (he straight up said that black people couldn’t possibly get in on quality and merit) it was worth it. Sacrifice everything for “Diversity”.

  • How no one figured out “people of color” is basically equivalent to “colored people” is beyond me. I just can’t say “POC” without thinking that…and that somehow makes me racist. So grateful I’m not a “youth” today. The comment thread on horseshoe theory here is fascinating. This isn’t “left” v. “right” but that’s what they make it into, of course.

  • So basically, being woke if just being politely racist. I say that as a joke, but I feel like I’ve noticed something about people who prioritize woke culture; they don’t really see these marginalized groups as individuals but rather a group of helpless weak people who need help and can’t stand up for themselves when they clearly can. At a certain point they just stop seeing these people as people and rather as the identity group that they belong to, which seems kinda racist. This article shows a lot of similarities that two seemingly opposing sides share in their fundamentals which is bizarre and kinda scary.

  • As a Hispanic person (for some reason people who are woke think that “hispanic” is a race), I have always found it so strange how liberals label all “people of color” as one homogenous group… Don’t African Americans care that they are lumped together with people who weren’t born in this country? it’s like African Americans are considered immigrants as a result of their skin color… I think black americans have more in common with white americans than they do with us immigrants from latin America or Asia..

  • This is so absolutely true. Before everyone went mad I knew a woman who was half black and half white and cited that when claiming she wasn’t racist. Next thing I know she’s complaining about the lazy young men she works with and making sure she points out that they’re white. Next she’s saying she only watches hockey when a hockey team has a black player on the team and was offering a list of Hockey teams that had one or more black players in the event that other people wanted to view hockey the same way she did, and people were appreciating her for that. The whole time I’m thinking, ‘You dumb shit. You should watch hockey because you like perusal hockey, if that’s your thing. What you are claiming and suggesting to others is pretty much exactly as cool as someone saying that they only listen to white rappers, and that is to say, it’s not cool at all, it makes you look like a racist dipshit.’

  • This oddly reminds me of Animal Farm. For those who don’t know, it’s a book about the animals revolting against humans and making a free farm for themselves. At the end of the book, the pigs who used to govern the animals become so similar to the humans that they’re indistinguishable from each other. I guess it’s not a spectrum, but rather a circle

  • Is it just me, or is this generation the most racist ever? Everyone is so worried about eachother other skin and keeping culture to them selves that we are making ourselves divided. We should be enjoying, sharing, and teaching eachothers past and cultures. That’s how we keep them alive. When was it popular to gate keep so much to the point that the slightest thing can be considered racist? And since when was it popular to play who is the biggest victim? I just saw that wooper lady the other day saying that the holocaust was not about race cause they weren’t black. WTH. If your not a racist, your the biggest victim. Make it make sense.

  • My experience as a black man in germany is: When I do something good, it is ignored or I‘m called a kiss ass. When I do something bad it’s noticed and it is because that’s just how black people are. But don’t get me wrong. The whole world is racist. My people are as racist as everyone else. I think humans just don’t like each other. Especially the ones who are different.

  • Ppl finally figuring it out. Congrats on actual wokeness boys. The “woke” movement or whatever we want to call it is the most racist, divisive thing ive seen in my lifetime its knocked us back decades. The sad part about it is the democrats have embraced it and gotten minorities to side with and thank them for it. That was always the plan.

  • Hard work always pays off. These gentlemen came here in the nick of time. Love or hate the work it is well thought out and solid. Friendship and solid comedy barriers are shards now skittering down Rainbow Road. Major inclines ahead for them both. Now here with us as New Yorkers wrapped between the cheese dreams. Hats off to ya Fellas

  • Reminds me of attitudes to women on the far left vs far right – far right believe women should be the private property of one man (marriage), far left believe women should be communal property of all men (poly relationships and pro sex work as a career). As a woman, i gotta say i don’t find either very appealing.

  • As a female myself, I feel angered by people who tell me “ohh but you don’t need to lose weight ur perfect the way u are!” Yeah, I know I’m fine the way I am. But if I don’t maintain my weight within a certain range, or make an effort to, I feel lethargic and stop having periods thanks to PCOS. This isn’t a matter of beauty standard, it’s a matter of HEALTH

  • “Why would I want to fantasize about being ugly?” Lmfao! I love it and you’re 100% correct! Been a gamer for 30 years and have gone through my child phase, my ugly phase, my hot phase, and my fat phase, now I’m going through my aging wrinkles phase and I’ve got to agree with everything you have said 100%

  • I am paraplegic and have to use a wheelchair. I have never wanted to play a character in a wheelchair, and I do not feel underrepresented because I do not see other characters in wheelchairs in the games that I play. Being paraplegic sucks! I play games to escape that suckiness, not to wallow in it 😂

  • I’m a 44 year old woman who has always enjoyed article games. Whenever I design a character in the character creation part of a game; I always make her as hot as a can 😂. I don’t design her to be a frumpy middle aged woman whose had a couple of kids and gets almost no time for herself, I make her a super hot badass warrior woman 😂😂

  • I am Asian American, in a talent show I saw a 16 year old black girl who was auditioning for model who is 5’11, have large boobs and skinny . She is 16 there is no way she has surgery done . She seems skinnier than me and I am only 120 ish pounds ” real women don’t look that ” …. They do . Just because YOU don’t like that doesn’t mean nobody looks like that naturally

  • I completely agree with you, i cannot understand why people would find cool and fit to be perfectly rapresented in game which, for the greatest percentage, have features which either do not largely rapresent our reality making us look like ants on the Sun, or have by far too much incredible feats that would NEVER be accomplished by people similiar to YOU. And thinking you are already the perfect version of yourself is simply lying, you can get better, you’ll never be perfect and can be so much more both phisically and even intellectually…

  • No one wants to look ugly. All this push is to destroy beauty. They want to invade the article game space like they did the film and tv. Replace the beautiful woman (or man) with some token person of the special group. They do this for many reasons. I will say I think one of the reason they do it is to lower the standards in society. Also jealousy and envy.

  • They should keep going on this route and add realistic character stats to go with their avatar. Like if they’re running in Dark Souls, make their stamina meter drain in 5 seconds and take 30 seconds to refill. Then they can add environmental interaction too, where if they try and cross a rickety bridge it’ll collapse just like in reality 😀

  • i’m a girl and i play articlegames since i was little; i’ve always admired good looking girl like samus, peach, zelda and rosalina, fantasizing to look like them. now i’m a teen and i never felt “offended” or suffered from a “lack of real girl representation in articlegames”. i think playing with a too normal character can be boring sometimes, male or female. do we have to talk about “real male representation?” bro have you ever seen a guy look like kratos? pls, let articlegames be articlegames

  • Ive been skinny my whole life. Never once did i go “man i really wish there was fewer super buff guys and more skinny dudes in this game.” No i started working out. I decided that I would look like the article game instead of the other way around. If you need validation for your lifestyle chances are there is something wrong with it.

  • I’m a 18 yr old girl. My body is naturally thin, and curvy just like my mom. Growing up, I was as skinny as a twig and was a box-shaped girl. I was extremely insecure and didn’t have any confidence. Now that I’ve grown into my body I’m much happier. I exercise and eat better. It really is disheartening for people to call girls with my type of body, “unrealistic” or “unnatural”. This is really a dangerous but also offensive narrative to sell to young, impressionable women. Nothing is wrong with you if you have a curvy, or thin body. Most likely you worked hard for it, and even if it’s just in your genes, be happy. THAT is what beauty looks like. Not obesity. Stay healthy gals 👍🏻

  • A great body positivity commercial would be like an Oreo commercial and someone says “I used to love these a little too much” and it shows them before their weight-loss journey and then they say “But with moderation and a healthy diet I can still enjoy them” then they eat an Oreo. Like I can see it now and I’m kind of disappointed that companies haven’t done that yet, at least I can’t think of one.

  • Edit: My comment below is rather extreme, but I’ll leave it as a lesson to me. I guess I was trying to say that the ad looks like its targetting people who care a lot about whether the characters they play represent them perfectly. Which I, personally, find mind-boggling and sad. I have always viewed the entertainment industry as a type of escapism and role play. I guess instead of showing a thin woman who is actually fat and suffers to look thin, they could’ve shown both of them together. I am tired of seeing thinness presented as if it’s something women force on themselves. And I am tired of people treating obesity as a food problem. Most of the time these people have been through a serious traumatic event and have become food addicts to cope with it. This should be dealt with a psychologist instead of making fun of or promoting it. Original: As a skinny woman, I feel underrepresented and my body-type erased by obese people 😂 But seriously, I always choose to play prettier characters, because….that’s the point of a FANTASY GAME! You imagine a different world, you imagine you are someone else! I’ve never felt the need to be represented in games or that somehow my character is ME! It’s a MAKE-BELIEF! I will never ever play as an ugly woman, sorry. These adverts are telling us that my body type is BAAAAAD for women in general. This is not Pro-women, this is anti-women.

  • I’m a woman and a gamer. I look NOTHING like Ezio Auditore, yet he remains my favourite article game character. I have never killed anyone but I love stealth assassination games. I don’t care about article game characters looking like me. I want to enjoy the GAME. And take someone out from above when it would be frowned upon in real life.

  • Actually to me, ‘no effort’ Zendaya looked good too, and I think here’s why. It’s the result of a consistent routine of good diet, exercise and skin care. As you said, ‘real beauty’ takes effort. Even fat positive proponents hide behind a mask of makeup and camera tricks to make themselves look better. Thanks for making this article!

  • I have to disagree with the Zendaya thing, not wearing makeup doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not taking care of yourself. If anything, tons of makeup makes you look older and increases the risk of skin problems. In the no-makeup picture she obviously still has great skin, meaning she’s taking care of herself.

  • I think they forget the whole point of article games is to tell a story, not for you to visually fantasize about having a better life instead of getting up and making your life better, so when they add “unrealistic beauty” it’s because that is what the character in the story looks like, not you. Not everything is about you.

  • A coworker of mine was telling me about this TikTok song that is cartoony, and encourages people to accept themselves no matter what size you are…I asked if it was meant for adolescents or teen girls and she got kinda mad lol I simply don’t understand how a woman in her late 30s would find that attractive. I’m guessing it’s a way to not feel guilty that she’s doing nothing to address her weight. To me, that entire genre is made to keep you where you’re at and not have to put the work in. I don’t care about her size, it’s her life, and really good at her job. The woke messaging is what makes it horrible. For them to actually say that being thin means you must be fat phobic….to deny that overweight people would be wrong to try and attain better lifestyle choices is absolute nonsense.

  • I’m a female, and a gamer, and I NEVER need to be or want to “feel represented” physically in a game, or any other form of media for that matter. I am able to indentify with many protagonists in media because of their GOOD CHARACTER qualities, and choices the characters make (or choices I get to make while playing those characters). I also find other characters completely unrelateable for having POOR character qualities also, depending on the game. Give me good/fun/engaging gameplay, give me nice/stylistic graphics, and give me good stories, and deep characters. Fuck all that “representation” bullshit, people should be able to identify with any character no matter what they look like. On a side note, I want to see attractive characters, not ones that are intentionially uglified, as I, like most gamers, play games to avoid the real world not see more of it, thanks.

  • People that are unable to identify with a character because of how they look make me question their ability to connect with others. It reeks slightly of narcissism and maybe even a lack of empathy. It’s one thing to be purposefully excluded to the point that you feel like an island. It’s another thing to be unable to identify with a character or a real person because they aren’t a carbon copy of you.

  • I want to emphasize how truly important your last 60 seconds of the article are. My life changed 180 degrees when I learned how to be assertive. During that time, I told my manager to f himself, in front of the whole team, after being exploited for a while. That followed by finding a better job with the new feeling of confidence that instilled in me, and the feeling of control. I completely fixed my inner circle, and banished all the people who were puling me down. I got back into fitness (in my 30’s) and hopped on a healthy diet that got me feeling amazing. I got into a new relationship that is balanced and stable. I got into new hobbies and taught myself new skills, and I am looking at an even better income position, making plans to invest in real estate and grow my net worth as I write the comment. It is insane what assertiveness can do to you just by realizing you are in control, and you will be abused only if you allow yourself to be abused.

  • I praise the YouTube alrogithm for showing me your website – perusal your articles about extra fat people is my guilty pleasure and it made me motivated AF to lose weight and take care of my diet to fix my psoriasis. 290lbs, 6’1″ goal: 220lbs. My ideal go to weight would be around 200lbs. I started this sunday so wish me luck y’all!

  • Im a female gamer (17yo) and i have NEVER felt unrepresented in any game I‘ve played over the past couple of years. Now keep in mind that im still a minor, which in turn makes me more prone to having any form of identity-crisis because of hormones. Like dudee I don’t wanna look like myself when I game, exactly💀. I just wanna play as a good looking girl that can smash their asses💥!!

  • Never underestimate the spitefulness and bitterness that an angry woman can hold in her heart. There’s nothing that women hate more than other women who are prettier than them. That’s why when you put angry (often woke) women in charge of character design, you get female characters that look utterly atrocious. Because it makes that angry woman feel better about herself when she gets to create someone so ugly it makes her look attractive by comparison. A good example is the Fable remake controversy we’re all aware of. Because they got an angry, bitter, spiteful man-pretending-to-be-a-woman in charge of character designing at Playground Games, the main female character looks like Abby from Last of Us 2.

  • “Why would I wanna fantasize about being ugly” lmao I died. But foreal, when I do my customizations I always make my avatars ways prettier and look nothing like me with different hair colors/skin tone and everything. Because it’s actually really boring when you have it look just like you. I don’t have any issues with my image but I don’t always HAVE to see myself in everything I do or watch.

  • No matter how much they shove low effort down our throats, I will continue to practice self care at the gym with a skin care routine and healthy eating. There’s a certain level of extra respect people have for you when you go the extra mile and it shows on your outer appearance. Unfortunately, the flip side to that is the more attractive you are from a healthy lifestyle, the more lazy people hate you and try to dissuade you.

  • My Gf is thicc and she is working out to get herself slimmer like she was when she was younger. she LOVES tomb raider as its just a articlegame to her. she often asks me to help her solve a puzzle in it. she was a feminist before but all she needed was a man to respect her and she needed to respect a man. shes disgusted at obesity being pushed and normalized.

  • You know what I love most of all? There are so many people out there who yell at others “Stop judging me on my appearance! It’s what’s on the inside that count”! I swear, when these people play these games they’ll never have an avatar that looks like them, instead they’ll choose an avatar of what they’re wish they could be

  • The most bizarre thing is all these people wanting the game characters to look like them. I’ve never once wanted a game character to look like me, I always wanted cool strange characters that look nothing like me, I play games to escape life. But these people are all narcissists, so they literally need to be in the game. Never before has a group of people annoyed me so much. And I stopped buying Dove products years ago, they’ve always pushed ads like these, for years.

  • Well, Cinthia doesn’t have to worry about over-sexualization. I don’t think any able-minded guy would want to look at her naked, or touch her with a 10 foot pole. But I bet deep down she feels pride of her body, and not just masking shame, guilt, embarrassment, rejection, and all that good stuff, because she says she likes it this way.

  • As a gamer girl, I don’t give a flying crap that I am represented in a article game. All I care about is being an awesome character, male or female! And I go on fun adventures to an unusual world and fight, follow into the story and complete a task! Sure, as a curvy girl, I do like to play as sexy female characters too! To me I find them attractive and cool! Not because they “look like me” or they are “hyper sexualized”

  • This shit goes way deeper than most of us realize. On the upside, this has finally woken me up to the reality of things, and just how important beauty is to us in all aspects of life, both physical and metaphorical beauty. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. There’s a reason why we find some things universally beautiful, across all cultures and races. Beauty is a fantastic guide and once shall seek to embody it truly and rightly.

  • In regards to beauty the internet and society right now is one of two damaging extremes. Either it’s ‘being over weight is okay, looking after your self is a capitalist ideology’ or ‘you need to start a 20 step skin care routine to prevent ageing and get these plastic surgeries before you turn 20’. Both push you towards eating disorders and a broken self image. Growing up with the internet really has fucked up my generation.

  • As a 3D animator who does anime models, a very difficult model to do as they require proper topology and a lot of care to get right (Look at Guilty Gear topology for an example of what has to be done), Dove put the bare minimum to their models and claim they work. 3D models are very hard to make as they require components such as proper composition. I guarantee, the moment those models go under proper lighting, they’ll miss traits such as Rembrandt triangle, which is VERY hard to make. When you said they looked like WoW models, I agree with you as they had no need for those types of triangles, but considering how 3D models have changed and evolved, Dove could’ve put more money into making proper models because they are unintentionally pushing a message. I would love to see a fat activist in a 3d game in high poly, make people realize how ugly it looks as you get to see details such as fat rolls and a double chin. I know Dove could do better as they use Blender, I use blender a lot and they even vertex edit (Moving individual points to create shapes), which is something I do a lot.

  • 1:36 lets be real none of these are beauty nor cute. I think that as the years go by more and more woke people will infiltrate the gaming horizon and burn it to the ground based on “we dont get enough representation” even tho most of them dont even play games. There for gaming company’s will have to focus on “diversity” and “inclusion” and much less on the over all gameplay quality, story or entertainment that the games bring just for the sake of the woke’s getting the attention that their parent’s didn’t give them as kid’s.

  • Ok, let me admit, I was fat too once. But I work hard to get in shape. I had injuries that cause me to sit on wheelchair as well. That ain’t mean I should cry about this. It’s just part of life. And the ladies who are reading this. I have some words for you. If you stuck on point where you think you are perfect. Then the day you stop progressing or improving. Just focus on what you are achieving in life about your fitness or your looks, Just try to reach there and if you are there, Try to maintain it. But thinking that you are stuck in a place only brings you deep sadness inside that makes you hate your own life. But if you think there is even a small progress but noticible. You will work even harder without a second thought. What you think why boys spend time in Gym, Garage, or their workshops.

  • As for the so called Modern Art (I’m a M/A, so I know what I’m talking about), it’s always needs an explanation for some reason and if you do not accept their point of view they will attack you for not having a taste in art or call you a racist/pickanotherform. I’m not talking about Malevich with his Black Square or Primitivism movement in general (all of these people were accomplished artists doing something that was breaking the rules as a statement for a reason in particular time period in art), or Ready-made’s by Marcel Duchamp as an example.

  • As a person who is far from being good looking, I’ve never wanted my article game character to be as bad as me. I mean, I can look in a mirror to see something ugly and “realistic” and games are meant to be some sort of escapism, they help people forget the harshness of reality and for some time look at something perfect, not something real

  • I don’t think I’ve ever made a articlegame character that looks like me. I always make them taller, more muscular, etc. than I am in real life. Isn’t that kind of the point? I’ve also loved and played so many articlegames where the main character is a different gender or race than I am, without thinking about it for even a second.

  • “there is not enough rapresentation in articlegames”. It’s articlegames. I don’t expect to see an ADHD, dyslexic, dyscalculic, 160cm tall human, just like me, in a fantasy world where everyone is an elf and the triforce has been lost. Or let’s take Baldur’s Gate 3 for example. If I really was in that universe, I’d rather die in a place alone far away from friends and faminly, waiting for the worm to transform me into the tentacle people. Games are GAMES, they are meant to be FANTASTICAL

  • I’ve never understood people who want their in-game character to look like themselves, like you’re playing something that is supposed to be fantasy, and controlling the life and actions of a character, why in gods name would you want them to look like you? edit : damn people really saw my comment as a personal insult, i said ive never understood the appeal, never said i was smarter than anybody

  • As a quadriplegic blind & deaf person who cannot piss or think (40 IQ), personally, in my lived experience, in my opinion, from my perspective, from my point of view, from where I stand, its incredibly obvious that multinational food corporations are trying to normalise fat acceptance because the biggest thorn in their side for decades has been fitness / weight-loss culture (that wouldn’t need to exist if our food was healthy and non-addictive)

  • Here’s how I see it: Fat and messy people: easy personal life (eating, sitting around, not doing anything for health), but difficult social life (being judged, shamed for their weight) Slender and well-groomed people: difficult personal life (hours at the gym, eating healthy, skincare routines), but easy social life (getting compliments and opportunities much easier) Basically, fat and messy people want to live an easy life in all aspects, and they want their delusions entertained, but this should never be encouraged because more and more people will become that way, and, for one, it simply isn’t healthy. Fatness shouldn’t be glorified because it’s a result of an unhealthy and dangerous lifestyle.

  • I have family relations to someone who works in Unilever and you are 100 % right, they really don’t care, they are a business and care about the money they make, they don’t care about you or what you think or believe in, they just want your money and that’s all, it’s not a charity it’s a business, people need to grow up.

  • Woke people believe in equity. Redistribution of value. Beauty is something that some people are born with or something that others work hard to achieve and maintain. This makes it uncommon making it valuable. It’s natural that some people will be more attractive than others and it’s something that they can’t redistribute so they instead try to change the standards of beauty. That’s just my take on it.

  • I grew up playing Tomb Raider. Never once did feel like I was represented. Who wants to play a game of a girl just reads books and plays games. No, I want to disappear into a world where the character is hot, rich, and badass. Let me disappear into the world of make believe and that world is full of characters who can run, jump, and climb buildings for hours.

  • Ur dissection of dove sexualising the obese character was hilarious because even dove doesnt follow their own narrative. to be sexualised u need to be attractive. Hence they admit that the woman is not attractive because they are trying to portray comfort and not sexualise the character. Even though she was wearing revealing clothes. So yes obese ppl are not attractive. Even to the company that is against the notion

  • As a ugly looking person, i guarantee this kind of campaign pretty much useless or even make ugly people even more insecure. If they really don’t care about beauty standard, why they still treat it like beauty standard? Convince yourself you a badass or attractive it’s not gonna change a thing, the way to change a thing is knowing yourself and accept whatever you are. They forced someone to rate them a 10/10, just like how beautiful people do when they ask people are they 10/10. I know some people doing this to increase their confidence, but the realistic way to be confidence is accepting your life, bring peacefulness in your life, proud that you don’t care about beauty standards, proud that you can do anything without any assistance of “attractiveness”, proud because you make it this far without any attractiveness privilege.

  • As a woman, i find that im always represented in every game i play. Im totally a starship captain. Im also a high level wizard. Oh and i kill vampires in old creepy castles. Im a very sassy cop who kills zombies. Its not just article games either, im also represented in boardgames. Im a battleship captin, and i own a dress made out of candy. I also frequently murder people in different rooms with different everyday objects. And lastly, i often find that i am just a weird bug looking creature with removable parts who often has ants in my pants and im walking on thin ice. That’s right millennials, i brought it back because im just a barrel of monkey’s.

  • alot of people need to realize that companies don’t care about your race gender sexuality body style or even if you are a human all they care about is money and things that will bring them money and also people need to understand that the attractiveness of a person is subjective not objective meaning just because you look a certain way doesn’t make you less attractive than others everything can be achieved with hard work and effort

  • I’m a girl who’s recently stumbled across this website and this is kind of random but I really love how he talks about how, for the majority of people, to be attractive you DO have to put in quite a bit of effort, and even showed the before/after pic of Zendaya (who’s flippin’ gorgeous), when the only difference is her hair and makeup is done and she’s dressed nice in the second pic. I’ve seen so many guys on social media comment that women shouldn’t be allowed to wear makeup because it makes them “liars” and is “false advertising” and it always made me feel bad because I personally think it’s so fun doing my hair/makeup/dressing up cute to go out with my friends (and while I don’t wear very much makeup anymore I do honestly think I look nicer and more confident with it on!) I just want to say, it’s nice hearing a guy advocate for women choosing to put effort into their appearance by doing hair/makeup and not just shaming them and saying it makes them ‘liars’.

  • As a female I regularly switch between male and female characters. Especially in fighting games, which is my main genre. I don’t get why there is some huge deal about making hyper specific article game characters. Companies have already solved this problem for the most part. I would say more than half of all article games have a character customization. ESPECIALLY if it’s an RPG.

  • I am a 3D artist on Blender 3D which is a free software and I’ve never seen such terrible characters made on even a free software like Blender forget Unreal or Maya and also making curly hair is just as easy you just need to curve the mesh of the straight hair ….it’s as simple as it sounds . Great article 👍🏼

  • I love how the woman in the article did absolutely nothing to improve her health after looking at her body which was nothing but converted Oreos and candy bars and instead chose to accept it all in a fatalistic inevitability. My high school coach would have banged his head into the floor in frustration until lapsing into a coma over just ONE of the team doing this.

  • I’m not gonna lie man, I’ve been having a hard time making it through your articles lately. They feel repetitive. It’s always some woke or fat person, or single mom and all the nonsense they believe in to deflect from reality while causing harm to others. And a lot of times I know what you’re going to say. I started perusal your articles 3 years ago when they were more like a pod cast and there was no article in the background. Back then I binge watched your entire website because it was a lot more motivating. A majority of the article was about self improvement and how you can be the best version of yourself and I do have to say that really helped me a lot. It’s hard to find content creators in that field that aren’t woke or outright lying to you about what to do. I appreciated the last bit in this article talking about not letting yourself be walked on and being able to say no. I just wish more of the article was based around self improvement rather than focusing directly on the woke people.

  • As an artist I think it’s a good thing not to strive to be a clown show in a modern art museum. Just like the body positivity movement post modern art encourages artists not to worry about learning anatomy, perspective, backgrounds, or how to make their art attractive and appealing. All that matters is the expression you put into your art.

  • they’re not wanting to be ugly, they just know they don’t look good, because they don’t even try to make themselves appear healthy and beautiful, since it’s “too hard.” people are disgusting and lazy nowadays. i push myself every single day and am motivated, i go to the gym twice and do over an hour and a half of cardio in the gym, which doesn’t include the hours that i go for walks on the street when i am not working 10+ hour shifts.

  • Now I admit I put myself in wrestling games. I’m THAT guy. But I’ve always wanted to be a pro wrestler and design is one of my favorite parts of any game that has it. So I spend hours upon hours making sure everything is perfect to live out a fantasy. But you want to know something? Part of making everything perfect includes giving myself a six pack and cooler clothes because I might want to put myself in to fulfill a fantasy, but it’s a much MUCH cooler version of myself.

  • While I think people can be cruel in their pursuit of contemporary beauty standards, I also think those things are somewhat important. Maybe you aren’t the perfectly ideal IG model who retouches all their photos, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t strive to be beautiful in your own right. You should maintain a healthy weight, groom yourself, and care about your appearance. As people we have to accept the things we can’t change, but there are many things that we can and should change.

  • What pisses me off about these people is that they seem to think every single game they play is supposed to have a character that represents them personally, instead of a well written story about a made-up character, and you’re just playing along with their journey in the story? Why do they always think the character they’re playing is supposed to represent the individual playing the game?

  • The 2/3 female gamers comes from a survey where women were asked if they felt represented in articlegames. for every one of them who either was a gamer or knew someone who was and had seen footage, there were two who answered “No, I’m not a gamer.” They were then counted as female gamers who cited a lack of representation.

  • The satisfaction of creating the most beautiful and sexy or the most muscular, handsome man as your character in any article game is just so satisfying 🤌👌 Letting others know that you created that AVATAR to represent you and how you want to be seen is something only true gamers will understand. You are beautiful YES. But it is fantasy and it is just a game after all. You play to have fun and you play not to pRopErlY show yourself in this platform, YOU BUILD YOU!

  • I don’t think fat acceptance and body positivity should be only for “be comfortable even if you look like shit”. Yes, some people are comfortable this way but other people aren’t even if they have accepted it and they wanna change their body considering the acceptance they have achieved and the answer they have to fix the problems they have. No one is perfect and no one should be forced to look certain way or forced to be what they are without changing
