I have a Levi’s shirpa blue, size small that when cold enough gets worn frequently. I also have a vintage blanket lined, tan cord coller Lee Storm Rider jacket made in the late 70’s early 80’s in flawless condition. This jacket still has the garment workers union tag stitched inside a chest pocket. No hand warmer pockets with black plastic cats eye buttons for the waist adjusters. For nighttime outside occasions only. Love them both.
Hey there Mr. Centeno. I have been wearing since years ago certain garments in winter that kept me warm, which were Leather cafe racers (Last winter i wore a couple ones) Synthetic wool jacket – coat However, leather, while being finely lined (Not quilted or warmer lining) and doing a very good job of insolating me from extremely heavy winds and cold temperatures (Around the 40 – 60 fahrenheit line) they are rather heavy to carry, intimidating for certain people and enviroments, and double rider jackets don’t really do a great job of covering the neck area from cold and wind so you would need to wear a scarf or some kind of neck protection for cold. That is why i just bought a couple days ago a Sherpa jacket from a brand called Roosevelt, made from a nice, heavy denim (It has some rips though, i don’t know if that will affect the insolation capabilities of it) even better than that of Levi’s brand, in a mid to dark wash and costed me 35 US dollars here in the store. Also jeans are very cheap here, Levi’s made here in Mexico with small quality control issues cost around the 15 dollar mark, work boots and dress shoes in real leather start around the 20 dollar mark, and leather jackets can be found at around 80 dollars or a bit more. But i will indeed be wearing the sherpa jacket as my main one this winter and the next ones. Greetings
Just got a Levis Sherpa one, I got it in Large (i’m 5’9.5″, quite thick/muscular build). How tight should it fit in the upper back thou? If I’m reaching right ahead of me with one arm it’s all good, but reaching with both arms I’m kind of limited by tightness/the jacket straining in the upper back.. Is this slight upper back strain normal? Moving up a size jacket would be too long
