  • For other countries, I am not aware about their Vegetarian percentage of population. You may be right. But about India, I disagree with you for 38 % only veggy. There are quite a few whole States like Gujarat, Rajasthan with almost 85% veggy, Punjab with almost 50% veggy. Apart from this, there are non veg population who simply does not touch non veg on particular days of a week. Every State of India is having a very big percentage of many Hindu castes who has never ever taken non veg meals. So as per me, I think India is definitely Veg Country of the world with almost 70-75 % of Vegetarians..!!

  • Sir,You are making a article on vegetarianism. And you did not even mention those who have promoted vegetarianism, non-violence and peace in the world the most. And they are Lord Mahavira . Jainism itself has spread vegetarianism all over the world. The Jain community is the most staunch vegetarian society in the world. All the topics on non-violence, vegetarianism and peace without Bhagvaan Mahavira are incomplete.

  • Most of vegetarian people live in North India, West India, and Northwest India.. 🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️❤️😘😘😘❤️❤️ But one thing I said about that vegetarian and egg eating people are also some times support industrial animals cruelty. Because most of Egg Industries and Dairy Industries are Cruel and heartless towards innocent farm animals…….((especially cow dairy industries))🙏🙏

  • Biggest vegetarian country undoubtedly It’s INDIA….this 38% figure should be converted to 100% It’s a land of heritage, legend of culture and religion, grandmother of tradition….land where Ahimsa, and dharma made its roots…. Jainism tops the list with 100% vegetarianism, not even harming root vegetables like Onion, Garlic and potato

  • Top ten vegetarian societies and communities in India are:- 1. Jain’s 2. Buddhists (monks majororily) 3. Swaminarayan sampraday 4. Iskcon followers 5. Dada bhagwan foundation 6. Marwari and Gujarati banias 7. Maheshwari and Bishnoi’s 8. Gayatri pariwar and Maharishi’s group 9. Kabir panthi (few regions) 10. Brahmins (Majority).

  • In India, a typical NV is still more than 90% vegetarian. Human beings are naturally omnivorous, much like their ancestors, monkeys and apes. SO, 1. vegetarianism is a hype that goes against nature, 2. vegetarians also consume life, albeit those of trees and plants, 3.Milk is NOT vegetarian, it is not even an adult food and one can’t make any herbivorous adult animal drink milk, and 4. it is highly unfair to look down upon people whose only 10-15% of diet constitutes non-vegetarian food. All are equal, and vegetarianism is nothing to be proud of, same as NV.

  • Brahmins and Sikh do eat lot of non-veg, your information is quite funny you forgot to Mention Jain’s and Buddhists because of whom vegetarianism got established in India. India has worlds only 100% Vegetarian city called palitana in Gujarat and it’s the sacred tirth of Jain’s. Many Buddhist monks in even countries like China, Japan and Thailand are also vegetarian, and you did not include Nepal in your list while vegetarianism is more in nepal than that in Ireland.

  • I have tears in my eyes after seeing this❤ but still their are more people’s who eat non veg food throughout the world & this is so cruel💔 why an animal has to suffer their life?..please go vegan🌱 & stop animal cruelty in everyway🥺🙏 buy vegan leather, vegan milk, vegan silk & for those people who can’t give up on non veg taste then for those buy vegan meat🌱 ..we have options that r cruelty free then why to take someone’s life🥺

  • i think this data says among all the vegetarian in the world 38% of them are indian or live in india… which may be true because india has high population. . otherwise a data says 75% of indian eat meat… india may have highest percentage of vegetarians but still it is one of the largest exporter of beef in the world

  • Apne india ke bare bilkul galat bata rhe hin.. Jain or vaishnav log bilkul bhi non-veg nhi khate or nhi smail lena pasand karte hin, kyonki ye thono hi community ahinsa ko paramdharm manti hin.. Ye jankari batana app kaise bhul gye.. Maharashtra ke jydatar Konkani brahamin log non-veg me machali ko khana pasand karte hin….

  • Mujhe bahut Khushi hai ab jyadatar animals save haikyunki animals hamare Arth aur environment ke liye bahut important hissa haiagar ham log animals ko marenge to hamara earth ka ek hissa damage ho jaega Earth bure condition may damage Hui tujhe humans ke liye bhi acchi n baat nahin hai ham sabhi ko milke Apne Dharti aur uske jivan Ko bachana jyada se jyada Matra meinkyunki jis tarah se Janwar log ho rahe hain ya acchi baat nahin hamari Dharti ke liyejanwar ka ped paudhon mein ek bhi gayab hua to insaaniyat nahin rah payegi bhakti be protect our Earth

  • Reasons why I am proud to be a veg 1)Given that plants do not have pain receptors, nerves, or a brain, they do not feel pain 2)being veg means to not harm animals as much as we can 3)human body is different from of those meat eating animals, our teeth are not sharp like of those meat eater, our disgetive system is longer than of carnivorous animal, even we can’t eat meat without cooking it, cause it will not digest, this shows meat is not made for us 4) I am not harming someone’s feeling it is just what my opinion is ..

  • Jio or jine do vegitarian bano Mere gar pe younger hai vo log khate hai pr mere bhai ka beta 4 saal ka hai gar pr party thi to Arya hai jo khusbu thi pata chala to usne nhi khaya pura din dal, chaval koi bhi vastu nhi khayi pr sirf milk n parle biscuits khai ise aise laga k dal ya kisme meet ho to bolo vo bolta hai khta hai khane k liye kitni cheeze hai vegitables hai fruit s hai jo marji khao kisi ko markar kyu khaye kitni itne 6ote bacche me shoch hai…..

  • I’ve been a vegetarian for 7 1/2 years and it shocks me every time when people are like: “What? You don’t eat meat? I could never do that! It’s no meal without meat!” I really hate that. It’s totally fine if people want to eat meat, I can’t stop them. But people should be more considerate of how it affects the whole world to eat meat for every. single. meal. every. single. day! And people who are like: “Humans have always eaten meat, we need it to live!” No, we don’t. Humans ate meat because they needed it in the past, but we live in the 21st century, we’re further than that. I survived the last 7 1/2 years, too! And before of that I ate a lot of meat. If I can do it, anyone without medical issues that prevent them from doing it can do it! Apart from that, in the past we didn’t eat meat for every meal, it was a luxury. We’re just way too spoiled these days and don’t want to admit it and even less we want to go back to how it was before even though we really should because look at the planet. It’s not only meat but everything. For example vegetables that are brought from one country to another country, causing emissions by transporting them for example by plane, just because people cannot accept that in certain areas, Tomatoes don’t grow all year. I’m ranting now so I’ll stop… Just wanted to get these things of my chest xD

  • If you’re like me-a meatatarian(opposite of a vegetarian) like this comment! P.S. I still eat some veggies- green onions, mushrooms, and spinach. I also consume most fruits-bananas and apples. and if you ask if I’m out of shape-then no, I’m very fit. also if you think I’m picky look at my friend, he only eats rice, bread, grains, rice, grains, and chicken nuggets and french fries.
