  • I have trouble choosing what I really like ( in an aesthetic way ), beige brings me such peace and clean look, however I like green/brown aesthetics as well and it makes things so paintfull haha. But thank you for this article! It was my first one to watch from you, somehow found you really randomly, however I had to follow and keep being updated for similiar content from you!:)

  • omg your literally living in my dream. I don’t usually comment but since I was so amazed I had to comment! I love the aesthetic and the colour, ur so organized and sweet! my room is trash, my desk is messy dust on the floor (including papers, bags, clothes, random pens and paint brushes ! And obviously WAY more, you don’t understand how messy my room is. You have the best school setup I have saw, I am literally binge perusal this because I just started school today! Omg I don’t know what to say I am so amazed that someone has the most beautiful school setup! You also inspired me to start doing productive stuff, getting more crafty, cleaning my room more often, trying harder in work, trying harder to make money and more! You always make me smile no matter what! <3

  • im gonna cry im going to a new high school and i don’t wanna get made fun of but my mum packed some stuff that might make me get made fun of, i love her and all and i love how she cares so deeply to buy stationary for me since it’s so sweet but i’ve been bullied and i really don’t wanna get bullied again, any tips guys?

  • I have the old Osprey packable bag, it’s still available for ~40€ on Amazon. Packs down to an apple, strangely comfortable even filled with spontaneous shopping. Has only padded straps, one water bottle side pocket and a top for small items. Otherwise one big compartment, which can be used as a big packing cube or dirty laundry catch. The best thing it’s 18l but packs down to size of an apple. Perfect compromise for me – handy for biking and so much else 😇

  • I own the nomatic collapsible backpack and the matador on grid packable backpack and the nomatic is my choice unless I am lacking space or I have no plans to use it (just in case). Specially for trips in which I will be carrying the bag all day, I prefer something with little structure and ventilation but still packable to fit inside my 30L bag.

  • With Decathlons in lots of o ersess locations, cheap but sturdy and well made 20L and 30L Quecha packs make excellent return overflow or emergency replacement packs. In Thailand, under $10 bought me a legit 20L pack which then held my personal item sling and gate me 15L of extra available storage room for my return flight.

  • Forget the Forclaz 100 Compact 10 L, get the Forclaz Compact and Comfort Tote Pack 15 L instead. It might be a bit heavier, but it has a lot more functions and structure. It is a backpack and a tote bag in one and has padded straps and back. I could even fit my 15 inch laptop in the back sleave, though it sticks out a bit at the top. You can stow away the straps and the small hipbelt to give it a sleek look for the city or use it as a backpack for more adventurous trips. And if you don’t need it, you can pack it into its own pouch which doubles as a inside zipper pocket when in use. I own quite a few packable bags, but this one is my favourite because of its versatility. And it wasn’t even expensive!

  • I have the Matador Refraction packable backpack. I’m satisfied with it – I like the design with the 2 external pockets and nice water bottle holders. I wish the shoulder straps were beefier and the non-padded section of the straps were not as scratchy, but I think that’s par for the course for these types of bags.

  • My favorite packable backpack after owning a few of these is the Cotopaxi Batac 16, can compress just as small as most of these but the straps are somehow just really good. For and alternative to the Aer Go, I like the Rennen Ripstop Rennen, its just as light and structured, but set up as a more “normal” bag, seems tougher, and can get just as flat, or rolled up.

  • a nice selection, i hadn’t heard of many of them! my personal one i use is Arcteryx heliad 15, i use it most days of the week when not traveling also, but it doesn’t hold up in the rain (not sure why they didn’t make it weather proof considering the brand is outdoors) but i have had my eye on the Patagonia Black hole tote pack since you guys featured it as i also have a spare personal bag when traveling and i also hate seeing backpacks worn on the front so i think a tote backpack would be perfect!

  • Why didn’t you mention the forclaz 25l foldable backpack? It’s got everything, even laptop sleeve and a hip strap. Laptop sleeve may be used for hydration system or you can put a foam sitting pad inside and get some padding for you back(the one that sells in decathlon works perfect, and you will always have some sit with you on your hiking).

  • I like osprey. I’m 65 going on a 9 month trip to thailand. Traveling solo means I need to carry light. I’m looking at getting backpack carry on and personal. I also will be traveling with Cpap bag ugh… If you have not done a article showing carry on with personal front and back same time would be interested to see if there is better personal bag for front carry. I also need carryon light enough to lift over head plane as I have minimal use of 1 hand. Love your articles

  • I have the Mystery Ranch packable backpack. The best use case for this bag is to use when you are at a destination (either city or beach…I’ve done both). It does fit in my Aer Travel Pack 3 Small x-pak or my Monos Hybrid Carry on Plus. The versatility of this bag is what makes this work for me, understanding that I only use it as a day pack to carry items that I would take traveling through a city or the beach (Mexico City and Aruba). Your review is quite accurate. It’s a bit difficult to pack into itself, but if I only do that once during a trip, I can live with that.
