The Framework Homebuyer Education Course is an all-in-one platform designed to maximize financial stability for homeowners and partners. It consists of seven interactive online lessons that can be accessed on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices. The course covers topics such as homeownership advising, finding a homeownership advisor, and partnering.
The online homebuyer course is $75 per household, including the borrower and co-borrower. The fee is only charged once and can be entered by the co-borrower’s name during registration. The course is accepted by most lenders and down-payment assistance programs that require homebuyer education. Since 2015, Fannie Mae has required borrowers to complete the course through Framework Homeownership, which started in 2012 as a partnership between Housing Partnership Network and Minnesota.
The Framework Homebuyer Education Course certificate is accepted by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, most lenders, and down payment assistance programs. The course is available in both English and Spanish and is available for registration at a cost of $99.
The Framework online homebuyer course is offered in two parts, with a non-refundable fee of $75 per household. Participants are required to complete the course.
The Onsite Homebuyer Class is currently unavailable, but the self-paced homebuyer course can be taken at your convenience for a small fee on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop/laptop.
