To apply for a blue card, follow these three steps: have your CRN nearby, register for an online account to verify your identity, and apply for or renew a blue card. Blue Card Services also administers Queensland’s Working with Children Check to help keep Queensland children safe by assisting organizations in being child-safe and screening people who work with children.
Parents can store, share, and update their contact, health, and safety information with places that care for children. All AIECS students are required to have a current Blue Card to work or volunteer within Childcare Services. Under legislation, anyone working or volunteering with children must have a blue card, as well as certain self-employed people and businesses.
