ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN AMERICAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.. We send kids to public schools to be TRAINED not EDUCATED.. Trained to CONFORM.. I sense a lot of love from the parents of these kids, giving them a nurturing environment to learn in at a comfortable pace. Public schools are the exact opposite of the previous sentence! Sure they learn social skills and whatnot, but they also learn to pick up bad habits!
Good to have options & choices including family time together while also having a social interaction w/ other kids…in effect having a healthy overall upbringing as long as there is great care in the process. Most or all of the humanity arts is being cut and/or removed from schools is quite sad. Outside of what is needed to be learned that of the very controls being the programmed sociological constructs is exactly that to influence & control a conformed docile society which is falling apart.
Your initial fear is understandable, but i would say the greatest problem with home schooling is it’s lack of social contact. Some kids that have been home-schooled all their lives are put at a major disadvantage, when they are unleashed into a highly competitive atmosphere that is the job sector. How to communicate, and converse with peers is a skill in itself; one that must be done not taught. Someone who doesn’t posses a sociable skill that most take for granted, is hindered detrimentally.
