I can’t even imagine, what I would’ve done to those teachers. If one of these poor kids were my child. I was sickened to my stomach by perusal helpless little child being abused like that. I TRULY WISH ONE OF THE PARENTS COULD STAY HOME AND TAKE CARE OF THE KIDS. JUST LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. My wife and I were lucky, we could work in two different shifts. That’s why we took care of our kids by ourselves. It wasn’t easy but at least my kid was safe.

There are so many rotten old hens in teaching positions that should not be around children. I’m a middle aged man and I can still remember clear as day when my 1st grade teacher made me cry for not knowing an answer to a math question. She was relentless and humiliated me in front of the whole class. I was far too young and defenseless to do anything. She wasn’t the only one either. Makes my blood boil thinking about it. To this day, I have a visceral disdain for bossy, Livia Soprano/Nurse Rachet types.

Our daughter and I were so very close as she was growing up, until she reached that age where she started pulling away from me. By the time our daughter was driving we were close again, and she grew to be a beautiful young woman. I now have two great nephews who I’m getting to spend some time with while my niece teaches her online summer classes. Now, In an aging man in my mid 60’s, and my love for children is as strong as it ever was. But if I walked into a childcare center and applied for a job, just about everyone would deem me as being highly suspicious. Meanwhile, two young women abuse little children and in this particular case, they got caught. I don’t believe this was the first time it happened.
Welcome to child care in America. These “teachers” are paid poverty wages. Most make around $12-$14 per hour, less than most burger flippers these days. They must also have certifications, and state regulatory systems prefer workers with degrees. Qualified workers are next to impossible to come by since you can work at a gas station or work fast food and make more money. Early education programs at schools are failing because no one wants to go into a field that guarantees poverty. States heavily regulate daycare centers, even more so than most public schools, driving up costs but providing no financial support. Centers face both heavy regulatory burdens and private market pressures. Prices would have to increase significantly to pay these people a fair wage. That is something many parents simply cannot afford. The entire industry is about to collapse, which will remove millions of parents from the labor pool. Would you let the pot-smoking burger flipper at Mcdonald’s watch your kids daily? Would you be surprised if he acted like these people did? Right now that burger flipper has a better career outlook than most daycare “teachers”. You get what you pay for…. people have know that since humans started trading rocks.
If you are an inpatient teacher and gets easily irritated with children or bullies children on a friendly way, u better quit ur job or talk to a therapist or something because u don’t realize how much pain u brought to those poor children, kids are kids and they will do any kind of mess and that doesn’t mean that you gotta mistreat them bc u are not only traumatizing them but u will also make them feel restless so you better take it easy on those poor kids!…. has u can my childhood wasn’t the best and one of the main reasons why it was bc of this, I was a victim of these heartless freaks. What pieces of trash. I am so sorry, and I totally feel your pain. I can remember dropping my son at school and feeling like I was feeding him to the wolves. I felt like a horrible mother, and I used to frantically cry, because I felt like there was nothing I could do. Schools and districts work well together to interfere with parent involvement, and it makes me so sick. They hide so much from parents, it’s sickening.
These things infuriate me. When I was in school, K-2 especially they’d do things like this to the kids and the school and teachers would yell at the parents calling them liars and saying the kids are liars. No one EVER gave us a chance. One difference between now and then is that now, the parents mostly care. Those parents actually care about their children. But in my day in school, which was less than 30 years ago, they didn’t care. When the school “had to” yell at the parent, that means the kid is gonna be yelled at and beaten for it. There was no question “why is my child saying they’re abused and the school says no”. It was “the school said you’re a liar so you’ll be punished”.
PARENTS: this isn’t a one off situation and it It doesn’t just happen in low income settings. No matter who leave your kids with, they will never have the love, patience and care for your child that you do: not even a fraction. Stop working just to pay for childcare. Budget and raise them yourself!!! It can be done!!!!

When I was in school we got whacked with a ruler for talking in class, the boys got lashes from the principal for any kind of misbehavior, and then we still got good beatings from our parents at home.. It taught us discipline and respect… Something todays youngsters have no clue about whatsoever… Todays kids are way too soft.. Help me out here. Stepping on the childs fingers, and shoving a leg into the back of the child is obviously child abuse. The other teacher getting into the child’s face, how is it child abuse? She doesn’t appear to be yelling, but wanting to keep the child focused. I think the historical actions of the child being spoken to is also necessary to understand. The child could be an ADHD or some other LD type of child, which could require such a close encounter to help the child to maintain focus.
You should feel guilty. Women need to stay home with their children until at least kindergarten and not have somebody else raise your children while you work just because you want material things. People need to scale back their lifestyle and focus more on Actually raising your own kids. Because nobody can raise them or take care of them better than you can.
