My wife bought. a seating 8 years ago but I’ve only flown it once. I decided i t was too advanced for my experience it hS no wheels no retractors no flaps . But I’ve flown many planes now aNd wanted to set it up to fly. But couldn’t follow your explanation. I’ll watch it a few times .the plane has flown once buti now have Diferent transmitter and receivers .I guess I’ll figure it out I might have to buy a newer model with all the bells and whistles
I got mine a couple days ago. I removed the canopy and made it so much easier to work on. If I would have watched this article first and not your flight article first I would have not ordered one. I do like the plane but why put a quick release lock/release on the wings with how there set up. I wanted to get a plane I could quickly pop the wings on and off, this is not it. lol That flap set up is the main issue.
This is a brilliantly designed plane. …Surprising in your flight footage u didn’t experience severe pitch & throttle coupling bcz of thrust line way above CG You should’ve given detailed look at entire set of mechanisms. It’s like building Lego Technic & the cherry on top is the 4 seats with leg room & super detailed control panel . ..This is r8 up realistic 16+ model aisle. Unfortunately, my suburban neighborhood doesn’t afford me big planes.
It’s been an entire year since I’ve flown, mostly due to shoulder injury sustained during a club field workday – slipped on a wet carpet after a short rainstorm, landing directly on my right shoulder. Orthopedics said rotator OK but even if not they won’t operate on patients older than 75! Need a new orthopedic practice. Hope to get squared away soon and back to re-learning how to fly RC. Thanks for continuing to wet my appetite.
I loved the Seawind in its earlier two versions! I think I got this before Tower Hobbies got bought out and it went away. It’s still in my fleet. Seems to be identical but new color. For that plane, when slow and doing a full power go-around, be ready on aft elevator for the nose pitch over due to high mounted thrust (“gigidy”). – Make sure the nose gear is centered and secure. Coming lose on takeoff roll makes for a wild takeoff. Ask me how I know…? – Hopefully these wing servos are higher quality than previous version, they buzz a lot and were prone to fail. – I used a 3S 2200mah and got like 5-6min.
I may never own or even fly most of the planes showcased here. But, i can always find great insights from your articles that I’ve applied countless times. Whenever I’m flying in my neighborhood and the inevitable onlooker asks how they can get started flying RC, i point everyone to this website. You guys have made such an amazing impact on my life, introducing me to RC flight. I’m not quite financially positioned to do Patreon, etc. AND support the habit. 1st off, I just noticed the scale engine hoist in the background, and that’s super cool. As for something I want for rc but not rc is more time. Lol. I find myself not having the time I want to build and enjoy my trucks. I started taking a couple trucks to work with me to possibly enjoy on my lunch break for a few minutes.
Good news week. The element does have a great look. I know you want to build a leaf sprung yota with thise f10t axles hahaha. As for the question. Since I now have the camera and gimble set up. I do want a proper studio/shop, which will happen at some point. But. What I really want is a 3d printer as well…. which is also coming soon… Hahaha. I have to wait till my birthday my wife says, for the printer. I’m already downloading files. Learning the whole cad thing haha
There were/are two things I “want for RC, that aren’t specifically RC”. The first, which I already acquired, is a 360° camera (which has SOOOOO many possible uses), to work alongside my GoPro. The second…and, the most important part of filming anything…is having the “time” to do the filming. As I’m sure many could agree, it doesn’t matter how many ‘things’ you have to film, or how many ‘places’ you have to do the filming…if you don’t have the ‘time’, little (or nothing) gets done, which means you have no article to edit/upload.
G’day Josh ol son😁. i just Added to my makerspace for Rc, an SLA Printer which i picked up from the manufacture (on Aliexpress) as a clearence from last yr’s model ( a Nova3D Whale 2 4K Mono) its a mid-size build volume of 192mm x 120mm x 250mm, big enough to print all parts for Crawler body, i got the last one in Australia for $289.99AUD instead of $700AUD free shipping ( currently printing off body and parts for a Nissan Patrol Y61 2005 as a test). But they dont tell you about the steep learning curve to this type of printing, after spending the last 3yr’s learning traditional FDM . Well thats my new tool for my Rc hobby😀 and takes my hobby to a new level🤔. Leafs for F10s? Trailmater build incoming! What I want for RC that’s not directly related? I want a good quality 1/4″ drive screwdriver handle for speed tips. Yes, I have a Dewalt gyro and a Milwaukee M12, but I want a hand-tool version. And I want it with a bearing end cap, magnetic bit holder and high quality like the Vanquish tools.
I have the Yikong 4083, which is the Bronx you show. Yikong = Abisma = Rebel RC Rebelcon. I love it . 1/8th scale 2021 Bronco with lockable diffs, 2-speed, portals, inner fenders, interior, full light kit with light bar. 2.2 5.4″ tires and can run on 4s with a 775 can brushed. My Yikong has all the Bronco and Ford logos (purchased in December), so it makes me wonder if the license police got to them as well. Quality seems great, and it was less than a Traxxas including shipping and tax.
Redcat failed on multiple levels sending them out in a generic box & broken upon arrival. I’m a Redcat fan & I question the new releases & also the quality seems like the plastic is cheap & the factory quality control is not good currently. They spent to much time making lowriders & forgot how to make Crawlers & bashers which both have broke on first runs.

What??!! Easy pay is a great option for expensive vehicle or equipment purchases! And I wouldn’t need another damn app for it. It’s really stupid because PayPal sucks. However I think they’re doing to avoid paying debt collectors to get the people who don’t pay what they said they were going to pay and that puts a hit on a company’s profit margin. Guess I better get that king hauler and trailer while I still have time

I’m jammed in the garage, which, because of the high cost of California housing, doubles as a bedroom for 4 boys along with their gaming systems and the requisite 2nd fridge and deep freeze for all the gotdarned food they inhale.
Spray painting a Bentley, reminded me of the time I saw a guy painting his car on the beach in South Padre Island with a can of latex and a paint brush 😆😆😆. What’s the next thing I want for RC? I think my next step is brazing, bumpers and then a bed, or cage. I also mean to start welding this year, not only for RC but to build a rail bed for my fun 1:1 truck ‘RedRam’, this Summer.
