The Appearance Editor in Second Life allows users to manage outfits saved from the Editor. To access this feature, users can filter the list by typing into the search field at the top of the sidebar and click the Edit Wrench to open the Edit Outfit window. An image can be uploaded as a thumbnail for an outfit, with an aspect ratio of 1:1.
To change clothing or avatar appearance, users can use the “Replace Links” option to replace the old outfit with a new one. This can be done by right-clicking on the “Hair A” in one of the outfits and selecting “Replace Links” from the menu. When prompted to edit an outfit, users can choose “Appearance” and then “Edit Outfit”.
To replace an outfit, users can open the Appearance window by choosing Me > Appearance… from the top menu bar of the Second Life Viewer. In the Outfit Gallery or My Outfits tab, users can right-click the name of the outfit they wish to wear and choose “Replace Current Outfit” to replace their current outfit.
To use “Replace Links”, users can right-click on the “Hair A” in one of the outfits and select “Replace Links” from the menu. When prompted to edit an outfit, users can click on the “wearing” tab and save is” at the bottom.
To remove all clothing layers, hair, mesh body parts, and attachments, users can right-click their avatar and select “Appearance” and then “Edit Outfit”. This will display the current outfit.
In summary, the Appearance Editor allows users to manage outfits saved from the Editor, easily change clothing and avatar appearances, and customize their avatar’s appearance.
