In order to remove ink stains from denim, there are six methods:
- Blot the stain with a paper towel or napkin, working from the outside edge of the stain toward the center.
- Use dish soap to remove ink stains from cotton and denim.
- Apply a dry cleaning solvent to the stain, blotting it until the solvent is absorbed.
- Cover the stain with an alcohol-based product like hairspray, rubbing alcohol, or hand sanitizer, then let the product soak into the stain.
- Rubbing alcohol is a stain remover for pen ink, and concentrated liquid laundry detergent can be used to remove it from clothes.
- Apply a solvent like rubbing alcohol, hair spray, or hand sanitizer to an inconspicuous area of the garment with a cotton swab and let it sit for 1 to 3 minutes. Blot with a paper towel, and if no color comes off, continue to pretreat.
- Saturate the stain with rubbing alcohol and blot, washing on cold and inspecting. Do not put the garment in the dryer, repeat as necessary.
- Use a dab of heavy-duty laundry detergent to pretreat the stained area, rubbing it with your fingers.
- Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the stain, slowly and carefully pouring a few drops of 90 isopropyl alcohol directly to the area.
- Blot the ink stain with a clean cloth, paper towel, or cotton ball, and rubbing alcohol, gently pressing down, being careful not to wipe or scrub at the stain.
By following these steps, you can effectively remove ink stains from denim clothing. Remember to avoid washing and drying clothing before removing the stain, as the dryer will set the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
