IMPORTANT!! For those of you who are perusal after: 1. get the amulet coin on paniola ranch near the truck near the breeding center and start putting it on the lead pokemon. You’ll have so much money by the end of the game. 2. The cave island on Poke pelago. LV 3 almost guarantees expensive items and fossils. So if you have multiple. You can sell them if you want. 3. Using Pay-Day in SOS
In HGSS, right before going into Union Cave, you’ll see a guy selling a SlowpokeTail for 1,000,000 PokéDollars. However, the max amount of money in HGSS is 999,999 PokéDollars. If you separate all the clothing items in this article from each other, the SlowpokeTail in HGSS is the most expensive item in Pokémon.
uhm… I got a problem with the article; since Pokemon is from Japan, it’s not technically “Dollars”, its Yen. So 1Yen is more or less 1 Penny in USD, so the outfit is actually 24,000 Dollars which yes it’s still pretty insane but 2,400,000 is just inaccurate. Im sorry for nerding out on this but im just trying to get the right info out there :D.
Hey Austin John it’s a fan here I just want to let you know that when I watched your “How to get cap pikachu” and you said in that article that the Z crystal for cap pikachu is not obtainable but it is all you have to do is have cap pikachu in your party after that head on over to pikachu village and go near don’t talk go near to the lady that gives you the special pikachu shirt and hat then go straight up and say hello to the pikachu and he will give you cap pikachus Z crystal 😀
You can get tons of money if you get a strong, high-level persian with Pay Day and if you’re trying to SOS-chain for a shiny, or SOS for something else rare. Before the encounter, activate the Rotom power for increasing reward money. Then, give your persian the amulet coin. If possible, also have a Pokémon that knows Happy Hour. Once you’ve gotten into the encounter and kicked off the SOS chain with another Pokémon, switch into the Happy Hour Pokémon and use that move, then switch into your Persian and start using its Pay Day to kill off the new Pokémon that get called. Once you’ve switched to get the Pokémon you want by the time it appears, the end of the battle will net you tons of money. Persian should be as high level as possible, because high level = higher reward from Pay Day
Genesect and Meloetta. I’ve been playing pokemon for more than 10 years, I have every single pokemon except Meloetta and Genesect, when they originally got released in black and white I knew nothing about events in pokemon so of course I let the chance to get them drift away . Last year when they announced that they would be re-releasing the mythical pokemon I was really excited that I would finally complete my pokedex. But of course by November and December I was busy and had forgotten all about it. But then they announced that they would be releasing Genesect again, because not a lot of people had got it. I tried to redeem it but the words “you have already claimed this” seemed to have ended my hope of getting it as they probably wouldn’t be re-released for another 10 years. I would be so happy if you could help me complete my pokedex, so please choose me.
I’d like Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Genesect, and Hoopa. I’m almost done banking every single pokemon in the national pokedex (including every single form, yes that does also mean I played through Omega Ruby FOUR times.) and I unfortunately could only do 2 of the 2016 mythical gift events.
I have 2 ways to get money pretty fast in USUM. *Go to Hano Beach and have a Pokemon in your party know the TM Thief that you find in the Totem Den at Verdant Cavern on the second floor with Tauros Charge breaking the rocks, and then look for Staryu and Starmie. Constantly fight them and use Thief. They have a 50% chance of holding a rare item, a Stardust or Star Piece, which both sell for a fairly good amount of money, like Austin stated in his article. (This next way is extremely useful in the early game of USUM) **Save up your Roto Prize Money that you earn from the Roto Loto. Go to the Paniola Ranch and find the Amulet Coin near the car. Then, attach the Amulet Coin to a Pokemon, turn on the Roto Prize Money, and the money will be enormous. I find this way extremely helpful to get money quickly and to buy clothes, as well as vitamins on the Hokulani Observatory Pokemon Center.
There are so many things I love about this website! How detailed and throughout he is with his explaining. How there’s a new intro for each game series. It’s always fun and interesting to watch! For some reason I’ve always really liked Celebi! That’s the mythical Pokémon I always get excited over and want to find or get 😊
Here’s my guide: 1. Don’t buy healing items with money, there are stalls you can get in Festival Plaza that will give you potions, etc. for like 10-12 FC. 2. Buy Poké Balls at the Thrifty Megamart, they’re half price there because of the Discount Coupon you get literally every time. 3. Go undefeated for the whole game, including episode Rainbow Rocket. USUM are relatively easy, so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem so long as you use the EXP. Share. (Still optional regardless.) 4. After Rainbow Rocket, sell all 55 Big Nuggets you get from Wicke. If memory serves correctly, it should give you a little over $1,000,000. I’ve played the through US about 3, 4 times now? And every time, I end up with enough to buy the full outfit. (I do end up pretty well broke after, however.)
Get the money is easy.. Use Rockruff Dawn’s Happy Hour+Amulet Coins+Rotom’s Prize money to battle Rainbow Rocket will give you 220,000*5 +55 Nugets.. will enough to buy the ultimate clothes.. And you can use the same pattern and challange Elite Four.. 700k each time XD I always use at lease Happy Hour+Amulet Coin against the Madams and Gentlements and all the Captains/Hakus/Route Trainers (almost against all trainers but especially them^).. I used Rotom Prize Money only with exclusive events/Bosses.. Nomz.. delicious money…
In USUM, you can get any number of any fossil (excl. Old Amber, which can’t be obtained in gen VII at all) via Poké Pelago. Go to Isle Aphun (fully developed) and select the Path for Rare-Treasure Hunting (or Interesting-Item Hunting, which picks from all paths). There’s a chance of getting a fossil(s) of any variety each time you do this. It doesn’t even matter whether you’re playing Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon; Helix, Dome, Root, Claw, Armor, Skull, Cover, Plume, Jaw, and Sail Fossils are all available in both games this way (but not in Sun or Moon).
A more efficient method I found: Mantine Surfing. With just 2 BP from that, you can buy an EV item that sells for 5k each. …Now imagine getting 50 BP, or, translated into money, 125k Pokedollars each run for getting over 145k score in a single run. If you think “It’s impossible to get that high of a score”, trust me, it’s a walk in the park once you find the right method: 1. Get all the tricks (Lanturn 360, Primarina Flip and Starmie 720) by ranking first on at least 3 beaches 2. Gain orange speed before the jump. With that much speed, you can easily execute two high-score tricks in one jump 3. Execute the trick depending on wave height. High wave: Lanturn 360 and Starmie 720 for easy 4k-6k per jump. Low wave: Primarina Flip and Starmie 720. Similar score to the first one. 3.5: Mess one trick up on purpose each run. That technique is the Magikarp Splash, which, if executed after a Lanturn 360, can result in 8k-9k in one jump. Only use this once per run, for repeat attempts will only land in the range of 2k-3k. Quick way to mess up: Right, Left, Right, Left 3.6: After getting your Surf Pikachu, you get access to Over the Gyarados, another hidden one-use-per-run trick. Due to it having a really long animation, use the Huntail or Gorebyss spin instead of the Lanturn, Primarina or Starmie to not land face-first in the water. Getting it down can give you a RIDICULOUS 12k-18k in one jump. 4: Git gud. Try to minimize your collision rate with Tentacools and Sharpedos to maintain your speed.
A good, fairly quick method to earn some money: Elite Four. Before starting, use a Roto Prize Money to triple your battle earnings for a little while. I use and start the battle with a Smeargle holding an Amulet Coin that knows Happy Hour (which you can get if you have the event Rockruff). Next, I switch to my level 100 Excadrill. Reason I use this is ‘cause of its high Attack and Speed, plus Mold Breaker for those pesky Sturdy users. It really powers through the E4. You can easily make about 700k every 20 minutes or so, depending on who challenges you last. Of course any high level Pokémon can work, that’s just what I use.
Heres a tip for People who just watch articles or Movies while Farming: Get yourself 5 Alolan Meowths with I think its called Pick-Up (This ability that lets the pokemon find items randomly after battle), level them up, but DONT evolve them, Persian cant have the Ability. Then get something to Kill Water-Pokemon, usally Electric types go fine, I suggest the Electro UB. Then get to Poni, into the Steelix-boat, and out the door at the side of the boat. Theres a Fishingspot, It can give you I think its only Silver Caps, but you can get caps, Pearls and exp, and the meowths pick up things you can sell. Just refresh the Spot by walking in and out the Steelix-boat, if its bubbling. Sell the stuff you dont need. Finished! Perfect to do while perusal Youtube or Netflix!
It’s only really $21,000. Pokémon currency is not USD, but instead more closely related to Yen. This makes sense for a few reasons. A.) It was made by a Japanese company B.) This means that instead of 10yo dealing with 1,000’s of dollars, in reality it’s only like $10 C.) Look at the symbol for the Pokémon currency. It is a P with two lines at the bottom of it, Yen is a Y with two lines at the bottom. Coincidence? Nope Just thought I’d point that out because not many people get this fact right.
Unfortunately, the Poni coast cannot be accessed (thanks, Looker and Anabel) unless you actually catch both of the Ultra Beasts in Poni Grove, and I am not ready to do the latter yet, because I want a shiny UB Burst, and will need to get the Shiny Charm first. Also, you CAN get more fossils, and it’s from the other way to make money, Isle Aphun’s Path for Rare-Treasure Hunting in the Poke Pelago (that’s the level 3 upgrade for the island). Bottle Caps, Gold Bottle Caps, and valuable items are the other possibilities, but Fossils are there as well.
You can go cheap skate and battle EVERY TRAINER and rely on items you get from the overworldm except for ultra necrozma and the pokémon league of course, but still spend as little as possible. Also, use Roto prize money, it really helps combined with an amulet coin for 6 TIMES the usual amount, trust me that’s what I did.
My method was just battling the elite 4 with your lead pokemon holding an amulet coin and the roto prize money power activated. (My pokemon were pretty high level though, so unless you have a pokemon that can easily take care of the opposing trainer’s pokemon, I wouldnt suggest this) Edit: I think you get around 94,000 pokedollars per trainer, which in total adds up to about 376,000 not counting the person who tries to take your champion title
Extra income can also be made if you’ve invested in your caves at all on Poke Pelego. Each day, you can send expeditions to explore, and they’ll randomly find items in the branch of choice. It’s theoretically possible to find these items again through this method, so you can sell anything you get from the expeditions you do that you don’t want to keep, such as Shards. If you manage your time wisely, you can make a LOT of money by combining methods. Since it takes time to do an expedition, but you aren’t involved in it at all, you can use other methods while waiting for the expedition to finish.
Tip in “poni breaker coast” There are these rocks in the water you can break you don’t need a max replied I learn in the water it’s uncommon not rare to run into a pokemon I’ve been doing this for hours and I’ve already collected 53 comet shards But be careful because there are pokemon that will chase you, you just got to work around them it’s quite easy and if you have a pokemon with cups there’s fishing areas here as well
It would be a great honor and opportunity to get a hoppa I’ve watched your articles so much I admire you Austin one day I would love to grow up as strong skilled and cool and a great man as you if you don’t wanna give me the hoppa I’m ok with that I’m just happy and fine with perusal your articles your a really great man I would love one day to battle you and your wonderful pokemon in a feirce battle thanks for all the articles you make your an awesome YouTuber bye and thanks so much hugs and I want a hoppa for a reminder😊☺
I got a better method. You get an amulet coin, the event dawn lycanroc, some roto- money boost, and a team that can beat the elite 4 easily. Send out the lycanrock first, use happy hour and have it hold the amulet coin. Then finish the battle. That alone gives you 50k. Use a roto boost and get 100k Using this, after an hour, I only need the hat
I have also found that going to the battle buffet with Roto prize money and an amulet coin gives you a ton of money however you’d have to spend 1500 to get in but each trainer gives you anywhere from 6,000 to 60000 after you battle them the older the trainer the more money you get plus after completing the battle buffet once a day you get proteins calcium or pp ups which sell for a ton I literally made a million off of this strategy as well as using Stoutland search on the beaches
What I did was I transferred my Happy Meowth from X/Y to UM/US, leveled it up to level 30 so it learned Pay Day (and evolved it into Persian), and gave it the Amulet Coin. I then put it first in my party, so every battle I start with Happy Hour, then spam Pay Day till either I win or Persian fainted. At the end of the battle I receive Prize Money x4 (Due to the Amulet Coin and Happy Hour) and I pick up money worth the level of Persian x20 (Usually x5, but is x20 due to Amulet Coin and Happy Hour) multiplied by the number of times I used Pay Day.
I’ve noticed no one has mentioned Ula’ula island on route 17 if you go to Po town there’s a guy that you battle every day & when you beat him you can buy a big nugget for 5,000 but you can sell it for 20,000 & if you have your front runner Pokémon hold an amulet coin you get about 3,000 so basically you buy it for 2,000 then sell it for 20,000 & you can do this every day.
Im saying this before perusal article. I have a neat trick I figured out a year ago it took me 10 minutes to get over 300,000 pokedollars. (post game) Along Poni Coast you can destroy those 4 big rocks with Tauros Ride and you have a chance of getting Comet Shards. I got 8 Comet Shards in 10 minutes and also a number of Star Pieces and Stardust. When I sold them all I got over 300,000 as I mentioned above.
