Hey!!! I know it’s over a year after the fact, but I hope you’re still responding to comments… Is there any way to get around the sewing part at the end? I really need these jeans but I don’t own a sewing kit, nor do I know how to sow :/ Could I leave the zipper as is and use it kind of like I would a coat, or would that lead to more problems? My zipper suddenly started jamming and required some effort and finagling to get it up and down and if it wasn’t pulled up correctly all the way, it would pop open in the center. So instead of being happy that at least my zipper was working when care was taken, I forcibly zipped and unzipped them rapidly and aggressively with a pair of pliers and then just ripped the entire slide off. So no there’s no zipper slide. Now what? I’m pretty sure I have an old ripped pair of jeans with a donor slide if that helps.
