Are K-Swiss shoes comfortable?

The shoes are designed with comfort in mind, particularly for individuals who spend extended periods of time on their feet. The wider toe box, in comparison to the majority of athletic footwear, makes them an appropriate choice for occupations such as retail or nursing.

What does K-Swiss stand for?

K-Swiss, founded in 1966 by Swiss brothers Art and Ernie Brunner, is a sportswear company that specializes in tennis. The company was initially founded in Los Angeles and later acquired a majority stake in Australian brand Royal Elastics in 2001. In 2009, it sold Royal Elastics to a management-led investment group, resulting in a $1. 4 million gain. In 2013, the company was sold to Korean firm E-Land World Limited for $170 million. Do K-Swiss run big or small?

The K-Swiss running shoes run true to size, but their fit is different from Nike. The K-Swiss shoes open up better and do not incase the foot much. The high arch of the K-Swiss shoes makes it difficult to wear them on, especially for those with high arch. The K-Swiss shoes are warm in the summer, so it is recommended to wear a mesh top Nike when it is hot and sunny. The fit is not comparable to Nike, so it is suggested to try both on at a sports store.

Is shoe size C and K the same?

Nike and Adidas use different letters to indicate shoe sizes for different ages. Toddler sizing ranges from 0-12 months, while kids’ feet can vary greatly. For ages 0-12 months, Toddler Sizing 1-5 is appropriate. For ages 7-9, ages 7-9 are average. For ages 7-9, ages 9-11 are suitable. For ages 11-12, ages 11-12, and ages 12-13, ages 12-13 are appropriate. The general rule is to go bigger for future growth. For example, a size 13C in Nike or 13K in Adidas would be suitable for a 5-year-old nephew.

What size is 4C in K?

The Nike Kids Shoes Size Chart encompasses sizes 4C4T115C5T11. The aforementioned size is designated as 86C6T12. The final size in the series is 77C7T13. 5.

Are K-Swiss making a comeback?

K-Swiss, a California-based sneaker company, has made a comeback with new sneakers, a Formula 1 collaboration, and a return to the tennis market. The company, which has been a major legacy since 1966, has opened 60 mono-brand stores and a fast-to-market product creation pipeline. The brand has also expanded into the pickleball market, partnered with McLaren’s Formula 1 team, and will launch the K-Swiss Racquet Club in the spring, offering premium products and collaborations to select retailers globally. The company’s acquisition by Chinese sporting goods manufacturer Xtep in 2019 has further solidified its position in the sneaker market.

  • Hell yea I believe if you didn’t have a pair you were truly missing out and at that time staying in Florida all we really rocked were Reebok classics and those K Swiss were on point especially with all the different colors basically war half of my middle school up until maybe the end of ninth grade and then Jordan and everything got really big

  • Hey 👋 boys 🔥☝️content again 👍..Here in the EU as I remember the early 2000’s The full white OG Kswiss was a hit for a while..I had as well a pair and honestly I think, if we talking about White on White legendary classic kicks..Than after STAN Smith’s and AF1..Kswiss should be there 👌..I Still like that OG white version…Keep up the awesome work guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏

  • Teachers at my high school would help buy shoes for students who couldn’t afford new ones and we went to a shoe store and I picked out a pink pair of these because my sister used to have a few pairs of them and thought they looked nice and were well, pink. The only shoes I’ve ever had that never fell apart, chip crease or lost it’s shape and I wore and washed them CONSTANTLY. I don’t know what happened to them but I miss them.

  • I came to the states for a holiday from London in 05 I bought maybe 3 pairs of k Swiss they was hot over here ! I remember get one pair from a shop called journeys and the second pair was half price ! I couldn’t believe my luck ! Great article guys keep it up love all your articles invite learnt a lot from all your vids and love how chill they are to watch nothing but facts

  • My dad really like this brand so when I was young 6 or 7 I had a K-swiss sneaker and it was my favorite because it was unique and everyone would be like “yow what brand is that?” Or “is that a premium brand sneaker” and I really loved it, it’s design was unique and it gave the same comfort and feel as compare to the Nike sneakers I have at the time so yeah thank you for making a article for this brand, I hope many more people will watch your articles because it is very educational. I’m a young adult by the way, and I’m just saying that your articles are not only for a certain age. Keep safe you guys thanks for the super good article again.

  • I just recently found you website and have been perusal all your articles. While not a sneaker head myself I find all these articles super interesting. I’ll always remember saving up my allowance for a whole year to get my first pair of k-Swiss in 7th grade to fit in with all the other cool kids in my middle school. However I couldn’t afford the pairs everyone else was rocking and ended up getting some clearance model that didn’t have the same silhouette but it didn’t matter that much to me. I felt like a million bucks wearing those bright white shoes to school every day. Damn. Thanks for the nostalgic trip you guys. Love the website.

  • I started wearing K Swiss because i played high school tennis but the real reason i like them was when I downloaded a Crip walking tutorial (shared on mIRC & Kazaam, Limewire etc.) of black fella wearing white on white K Swiss classics. Every since that moment, I wore a white on white pair a every year in school with my baggy shorts and sometimes I accident play them on varsity tennis matches. It was a typical So Cal AzN sneaker.

  • Just got my first pair of K-Swiss classic vn lows. Since I’m from the east coast I don’t recall seeing them often (Assuming because they trended heavier in the west). I really appreciate them because based on the outsole / firm upper, this shoe scores high in durability / longevity. Many on Amazon roasted this shoe for running too small but I don’t think that’s true. The firm all around texture just made it seem so when in reality, all it needs is more break in time. Pretty sure footbed is true to length.

  • K-Swiss Classics were an indestructible shoe – lasted forever. Clean looks, quality materials and craftmanship. As a student, you could buy a pair as a freshman and graduate with them after 4 years of daily wear and abuse. I like the Si-18’s. Had a pair in the 90’s and got another pair about 5 years ago for nostalgia. The PU midsole makes the shoe heavy, but it has a real nice ride. When you break them in they fit like a glove.

  • Like Timberland. When they became trendy, the quality went to crap, they became more about fashion than solid build. I have not bought a pair since. Same with KSwiss, the last thing I want is a trendy shoe. I want quality. Oh damn, I’m buying a Gary V conman shoe?? Where are are the wolf of Wall Street sneakers? Ugh.😊

  • KSwiss tubes!!! straight function, maybe tbe best shoe ive ever had because of the tubes. They last longer, ive walked many consecutive miles on asphault, they stay cooler, they grip better, they are extremely comfortable, they nachine wash welk, and air dry fairly fasy, and they are actually affordable to many poor folks. Too bad they ate now owned by Chinese company.

  • My daddy had a pair of K-Swiss shoes as well back in the late ’90s early 2000s. He wore those shoes everywhere. With some knee high socks shorts and a polo shirt. Looking like a black Republican. Lol. I never had a pair of K-Swiss cuz I thought they look like old people shoes. I’ve always been a Air Jordan guy. And still I am.

  • If it wasn’t looked at as bein’ suuuper old I would still rocc a pair of classic Swiss rn. Gave it up in like ’15 for good smh, ya homie right tho cause I use to rocc my shit w/ Dickies, Dockers and Girbauds. They were like Chucks, the top strap Filas, Reebok Classics and Nike Cortez, affordable brand shoes that were dope.

  • I bought a pair of K-Swiss and never wore them. I eventually moved from Illinois to Texas and my foot grew two sizes. I went from a size 8 to a 10. I believe the shoes I have must be thirty years old and they are still in good condition, never been worn. Man, if Michael Jordan shoes can be worth something, especially the first ones to come out, I wonder if I could get a few bucks for my K-Swiss. I need to do some research.

  • I just bought me some k Swiss today and decided to see what happens to k swiss company. Came across your article. Funny, I own Js and have a soild collection. I was looking for a few canvas/ casual style shoes. Got some k Swiss and Cole haan. I wear what I like. I need some casual shoes for work .. great article.

  • I just ordered a black pair and a white pair they were supposed to be here yesterday tracking says today I’m pretty excited they stop selling them here in Regina Saskatchewan about three years ago. And they were the only issue I ever wore so I haven’t had a pair of running shoes to wear out for three years and just wearing my morale work runners

  • Very good review and spot on that these shoes are the most versatile and wearable in the market. The midsole foam of these two shoes are different, the Hypercourt Supreme uses Surge 7.0 which will provide more energy return and to me feel more cushioned. The Hypercourt Express 2 uses Surgelite which is also very good, but not as plush as the Supreme. The outsole patterns are identical, but the durability in the Hypercourt Supreme will be better as K-Swiss uses a more durable compound in the rubber. Hypercourt Express 2 is available in a 2E for men and wide for women, Hypercourt Supreme is not. Both will fit players best with a medium or slightly wider foot in my opinion.

  • I have played lots of pickleball with the Express 2. The reason its such a popular shoe is its wider in the forefoot which tends to be an issue with some other shoe companies. Its a very solid shoe. Eventually i added a PowerStep orthotic to them as the foam is lite and started to break down a bit. As a larger player i eventually switched to the Ultrashot’s, but if you are a speed player the Express 2’s are terrific, comfy and durable.

  • Your game, and your reviews keep improving. I’ve thought I would be a good match on the court, yet sometimes I see some ridiculously good shots. I’m sure you spend hours picking your best shots 🤣. I got your shoe guide. There are so many shoes now, and they are so different, it really helps for wading through.

  • I live and Bermuda and we are very limited in tennis shoes right now and I bought the express 2. I found it to be light and grip the court hard from the go so it was a little difficult at first because I’m a slider. However after a few plays I am able to get that sliding so maybe a little break in was needed. Also I think good footwork for this is definitely needed that flange almost made me roll my ankle. Would love to try the supreme though as it seems to have better ankle support that is also something I have worried about playing in these. But great review as always Zach. 👍🏾👍🏾

  • I’m wearing Hypercourt Supreme and found that they actually feel more “Barricade” than the current Adidas Barricade (Ver.12) does and at a fraction of price. I’m an all-time Adidas fan but sorry for Adidas this time I have to leave Barricade and change to something I feel more “Barricade” (e.g. Asics Court FF 2, K-Swiss Hypercourt Supreme)

  • Thanks for the review, I wished I found this early. Anyway, I have been a kswiss hypercourt express 2 user like forever as it fits my wider feet well, I tried both normal and 2E and never had problems. Recently I got the kwiss hypercourt supreme with the same size (but no 2E) and it hurts my left little toe for the entire session. I had to give my new shoes away as its not wearable for me. It feels like the supreme is a bit narrower than hypercourt express. Not sure if anyone else has the same issue.

  • I’m on my second pair of the Hypercourt Express 2. First one I bought a half size bigger than my regular size and felt too big. Had to really tie it down, but worked ok. The all-court soles lasted a good 10 months on mostly clay. Didn’t have extreme traction on clay and allowed me to slide intentionally and unintentionally. Side to side transition was slower than a dedicated clay outsoles. The second pair I bought is in my regular size with clay outsoles. Huge difference on clay. Much more nimble with quick side to side transition. Not much of a slider so this works perfectly on me. With my regular size, my feet feel more locked down and secured. Both are very light and comfortable in our hot climate.

  • Hey Doc! I have been dealing a with some plant fasciitis issues for a bit now. I switched from the Vapor pro to the Kswiss Hypercourt Supreme and I like them a lot. They’re very comfortable and I think they have good arch and heel support. I’ve seen your articles recommending the adidas solecourt boost for heel problems. Do you think switching to them would make a big difference? Or the Hypercourte supreme do a good job? Thanks!

  • I had the express 2 at one point. I had to cut that lateral flange off the upper of the shoe because it was digging in to the side of foot, making that part really uncomfortable. Maybe if had got a 2E width it wouldn’t have done this, but aside from that, I thought it was a decent shoe. The express 2 definitely needed more lock down in the heel. I constantly felt like my foot was gonna come straight out when push off to get to the net.

  • I’d say at least 30% of the adult players at my rec club (4,000 members) wear HCE2s. Many have 2-3 different pairs, as they go on sale often, and each year they update with new colors without changing the fit. Love mine. I switched to HCE2 (2E) from NB 1007 (4E). Fit is better on K Swiss, kinda like a 3E, really. And upper durability is way improved. NB really dropped the ball on the 1007 with the fabric tearing on the upper, see Amazon reviews, it’s awful. Can’t find the Hypercourt Extremes in 2E anywhere. I’ve heard the Ultrashots fit pretty wide too, with the regular width fitting like a 2E. May try them out some day, but I’m done with NB.

  • I just bought the Hypercourt Express 2. I’ve just played on then för 2 hours and noticed right away that the triangle shaped rubber reinforcement on the side diggs in to my foot and it gets real painfull after a while. Did you notice or heard if anyone else that have this problem? And why? //Best regards Jb

  • Been using Ubersonics (4 and 4.1 more recently) but have noticed a lot of soreness in my ankles. I love the lightness and speed of my ubersonics, but maybe I need something with more stability? I don’t know if I want to go to a full on heavy shoe like a Barricade or Ultrashot. Would these Express 2s be enough added stability?

  • Please respond! I wear super feet, and I am curious if the Supreme version in this article comes with a removable insole? I usually wear 10.5’s in Nike, but recently purchased size 11 New Balance 574’s, because I would put the super feet ON TOP of the insole, and needed a little bit more room. I just learned that Super Feet should be replacing the insole, not going on top of it, SO, my dilemma is what size should I order the Hypercourt Supreme’s in, if I’m using Super Feet? Nike has always been safe in that I could always order 10.5’s across the board. But with my Super Feet dilemma not sure for these Supreme’s I want to order!

  • Great articles Zach! How do these compare to the Ultra Shot 3? I just picked up some Ultra Shot 3s as I was not familiar with either of these shoes. I used to use the Yonex Eclipsion but unfortunately I feel like they have become more narrow and don’t fit my high instep. Also, I appreciate a wider toe box to help prevent the hot foot I sometimes get on the balls of my feet.

  • I purchased the Hypercourt Supremes in late summer and played primarily pickleball through the fall. The bootie liner construction gives a great heel lockdown, something I’ve struggled with from most other shoes. The toebox is also fairly roomy, an increasing necessity as I have aged. The Durawrap and flanges provide all the stability I need. They’ve been very durable, looking almost brand new after 4 months of play (10-12 hours/week). I did have a break in period with the left shoe as my long toes push the ball of my foot back into the arch rise. The footbed mostly molded to my foot over the course of about two weeks. I plan on trying an OTC orthotic to see if that helps even more.

  • Yes! I’ve been waiting for this review! I work in a pro shop in NE Florida and let me tell you, I can’t keep these on my shelves! My customers have the exact same thoughts, it’s a comfortable and supportive shoe that is relatively lightweight (comparatively speaking of course). My customer demographic does tend to be 40+ tennis and pickleball players who don’t really feel the need to have a “clunky” and supportive shoe such as an Ultrashot 3 or a Eclipsion 3. It’s a cushioned and wider profile shoe with a relatively lower arch and it just works for so many folks. In my experience, it is a little too wide for my feet (currently wearing court ff novaks with the laces fairly tight lol) but nothing but positive things to say about this shoe.

  • I played with the Hypercourt Supreme for a few months before I had to put them to the back of my rotation due to the outsole wearing out near the toe. I wonder if the durability issues were related to the color of the rubber on the outsole, because based off my experience with basketball shoes, sometimes different colored outsoles of the same shoe perform differently.

  • Hey Zach, cheers for the in-depth shoe review as always. As a severely flat footed individual, i’ve always looked for wide 2E (even 4E) shoes. I have a custom made sport orthotic that adds alot of heel height, so my heel ends up slipping out of the majority of shoes I try on. So far, the new balance 696 in 4E was able to accomodate my sport orthotic without any heel slippage. I think the large flange on the side helped with my wide forefoot. I then moved to the hypercourt express 2 just to differentiate. The original model (not 2E version) was able to surprisingly fit my orthotic without slippage. I now plan to move to the ON Roger Pro so that I can try something a little lighter. I genuinely enjoy ON shoes for their comfortablility. Do you think it would be a good move? Heel is 2.5 cm and it has a wide forefoot flange like the New Balance – but I wanted to grab your opinion first.

  • Hey Doctor, I bought the KD 14’s in a size 11.5(replacing my LeBron 16 lows which were also 11.5 and they fit amazing) and today was my first day wearing them indoors and I noticed that my feet, especially my forefoot was hurting really really badly and I have no idea if it’s because my foot is too wide or if it’s because the shoes are too new but I don’t wanna believe it’s the shoes and wear them out and not get my full refund. Also, i have a lot of room in the toe box.Oh and also I felt a little heel slippage.

  • Hey @FootDoctorZach, thanks very much for these shoe review articles! New to your website. Question: I use Spenco RX Arch Cushion Full Length Comfort Support Shoe Insoles at the recommendation of my Physio, does this reduce the integrity of the shoe itself if the original insoles are replaced? I’m looking for another replacement shoe, that fits as comfortable as the HEAD Sprint Pro 3.0, as I find these provide more room in the toe box

  • At this point my doubts are many, I was playing with the Asics Court FF 2, but they came to an end. I bought the Nike Zoom Vapor Pro urgently for lack of time and options in the market! I’m undecided on the Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5 or K-Swiss Hypercourt Supreme! Doctor Can give an opinion what the best option?

  • I am a tennis pro that works on Clay courts . I teach about 6-8 hours a day and was wondering which clay court shoe you would recommend – the KSwiss Hypercourt Express 2 or the Asics Gel Resolution 8. I can get them both with Clay Court Outsoles. Currentely I am usinf the Adidas Soul Court Boost but they are unavailable in Clay versions.
