In this video, the author demonstrates an advanced dressing game that allows readers to create their own outfit using three tops, three bottoms, and three shoes. The game is simple and professional, allowing readers to decide the path of the story they are playing. There are three templates: one for only 3 outfits, five outfits, and 10 outfits. The choices focus on allowing readers to customize the outfit of the main character, often being story-driven. To shower, the author suggests making an outfit where the character wears “censor bars” (females two, males one) and changing the outfit. The author also includes a “readerMessage” informing readers that they will be able to keep the wardrobe for the rest of the story. To remember the chosen outfit, the author uses the “Choice name and Option” method. The game allows readers to choose outfits repeatedly as often as they want to go through the dress options. Choosing an outfit for character concepting involves a blend of creativity, storytelling, and attention to detail. The author uses context clues to introduce the protagonist in various outfits.

Seriously, your tutorials have been SOOOO helpful! I’d be so lost. But I have a question… If I do appearances first, and then have different hairstyle choices for each race, how do I get them to go back together to then choose outfits? I’m not sure if that makes sense, but what I mean is, say I have 4 choices for the American appearance, and then 4 different ones for the African American appearance, and then 4 for the Latina, then how do I make them come back together to choose the outfit since I’d only have 4 outfits for all of them total? And also, how do you get outfits chosen for special events like dates to go back to the player’s original outfit choice?
