How Long Is The Maternity Leave Of Duchess Kate?

Duchess Kate Middleton, the princess of Wales, has completed chemotherapy and is expected to return to public duties in the coming months. The 42-year-old royal started her maternity leave on March 23, a month before the birth of her third child, Prince Louis, on April 23. The usual duration of maternity leave for working royals is six months, but Kate has come out of it once or twice for important events.

Kate’s maternity leave with Prince Louis is the longest she has given herself off and is understood to have been to. She took just five weeks off after giving birth to Prince George in 2013 and four months off after Princess Charlotte was born in 2015. Kate’s return to her royal duties on Tuesday will mean she has had a little over five months off, not straying too far from the expected half-year.

If you qualify for Statutory Maternity Leave, you are allowed 52 weeks of leave in total. In Kate’s country, women are guaranteed 52 weeks of maternity leave, 39 of which are paid. However, Kate is exempt from these restrictions.

Kate Middleton’s maternity leave is expected to last approximately six months, and she will likely have a “light” program of work between now and her due date. Kensington Palace has confirmed these will be the Duchess’s final engagements before she gives birth and that she is due sometime in April.

  • This woman has gone through a lot more than MM ever did, yet there she is. They called her all sorts of things, i can’t but imagine how tough public life must be, especially her being a commoner engaged to a future king. They learned to know each other, she saw from the very beginning what being in the spotlight would be, they broke up and got back together; that’s how you build a healthy relationship, that’s how you set solid foundations for a home and family, that’s how you create a good ambience where children will grow. Absolutely exemplary. They were blessed with three beautiful children and gave the Queen, who was always so worried about being a good sovereign, the pleasure and satisfaction to see her work will go on in the future generations. What selfish Charles denied her, William and Kate gave. I can’t think of a greater present for elderly people, than that of continuing their legacy. Kuddos to this great woman and her wonderful husband. The foolishness of the Markles just made everyone see how good Will and Kate are and appreciate their hard work. What a blessing for the Kingdom and the Commonwealth they are. This was the humble opinion of my Albanian self. I’ve followed the boys since their mom died. I lost my father in a car accident around the same time, i was younger than them, but when they walked behind that coffin, i knew how heavy their heart was. Breaking a relationship between brothers bonded by a great pain, that’s really cruel.

  • Catherine doesn’t have to pretend to be pregnant because she is. That’s why MM focuses on hers all the time because she doesn’t want it to fall off, like it has done before, as well as swinging back-and-forth. In these photos Kate wants to fold her hands in front of her but because of her bump, she can only hold them underneath her bump.

  • This demonstrates how Kate is able to look beautiful, chic, classy and still be pregnant. She understands the monarchy isn’t thrilled with those who aren’t dignified in their actions and how they dress. Meghan’s incessant cradling or holding the baby bump got old and all winter long she never wore her coat closed, always exposing the bump.

  • I look at this now & think back to her pregnancy wardrobe. How Pretty & Elegant she was all the way through with her clothes. I’m so glad she didn’t feel the need to wear skintight clothes with the front of her tee shirts ruckled up & sitting on top of her bump. Catherine wore beautiful clothes, obvious Maternity, but not so in your face as her Brother in laws wife were. Even though Catherine had that dreadful Morning Sickness to deal with, still did most of her appearances & she was in no way precious about being pregnant. I have to remember this was 9 years ago, because she doesn’t look much older today than back then. She was really just glowing with love & excitement.

  • The poor thing was struggling with severe nausea and she is a delicate little person anyway. I think she has a very sensitive stomach and with all the hormone cocktail probably nothing worked. Her circulation was certainly out of whack in places. I think it would be healthier for her to eat and maintain 2-3 kg of emergency weight in a healthy and balanced way. It can otherwise quickly become dangerous for such people with gastrointestinal problems or other infections.

  • Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for? In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look. It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world. We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.
