How Do You Get To Know Our Savior On A Personal Level?

George W. Pace provides personal examples of how to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, emphasizing the importance of receiving Jesus as our savior to experience God’s love and know His plans for us. He suggests that by believing in these truths about God and accepting Jesus as our Savior, we can develop a strong and healthy relationship with Him.

To strengthen our relationship with Jesus, we should first accept Him as our Lord and Savior by putting our faith and trust in Him. This can be achieved through prayer, reading the Bible, fellowship with other believers, and living according to God’s will. Consistent prayer and reading of the Bible are crucial for growing our relationship with Him.

To enhance our relationship with Jesus, we should spend time with Him through prayer and reading his word, talk to Him everywhere, and use His atonement to acknowledge our sins. We can also strengthen this relationship by staying in touch with the Savior, taking a personal interest in Him, and spending time with Him.

Practicing regular prayer and reflection, reading and studying the Bible, attending church and fellowship with other believers, and listening are essential steps in building a close relationship with God. By praying from our heart, we can truly seek Him, read the Bible, and spend time alone in silence, listening for Him.

Communication is also crucial in building a close relationship with God. God wants us to talk to Him and listen to Him, and a daily communion involving prayer is a two-way communication that will bring His Spirit flowing. By following these tips, we can strengthen our relationship with Jesus and maintain a strong and healthy connection with Him.

What is your personal relationship with God?

In summary, accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the beginning of a new life, and God wants you to experience its fullness by growing in a personal relationship with Him. This relationship can be built through constant communication, obedience, faith, and trust. The Bible serves as one of the many ways God speaks to you, revealing His history, character, and promises for you.

God gives you a helper that helps you understand Him, the Holy Spirit, who dwells in you. He speaks to your heart through the Holy Spirit, as illustrated in John 14:15-16. You can also speak to God through prayers with the help of the Holy Spirit and in Jesus’ name.

A relationship with God is built through constant belief, connection, and communication with Him, as well as obedience and faith. Trust is an important factor in this relationship, as it is more than just hearing what He says to you; it is responding in faith and living it out. Your newfound relationship with Him now inspires you to trust and act in God’s truth, rather than your own knowledge and abilities.

A trusting relationship with God looks like when you meet God and ask Him for strength. When you open your Bible, God speaks through Isaiah 41:10, saying, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, and I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. This is how you experience God and enjoy His presence in your life.

To grow in your relationship with God, take your first step toward Him by praying through the CBN Asia Facebook page or calling 8737-0700. Remember, God loves you so much that He calls you His child.

How do you describe your relationship with Jesus?

Jesus is not a genie that can be summoned and dismissed. To establish a personal relationship with him, one must trust in him and live under his lordship. Jesus sets the direction for one’s life, defining what is important, passing, good for the soul, and toxic. The relationship must be rooted in the means he has given us to be in communion with him, including time with sacred Scripture. The Catholic Church’s teachings, especially in moral life, are crucial for living a life of grace.

Regularly receiving Jesus in Holy Communion and confessing sins in the sacrament of Reconciliation is essential. It is important to avoid refashioning Jesus in one’s image, allowing him to fashion one in his image. If one is consistent in prayer, willing to hold nothing back, and ready to lead Jesus as Lord of their life, they have a personal relationship with Jesus.

The five ways to deepen your relationship with God are:

  1. Give your heart to God. This may seem like an obvious step, but it is crucial for a deep relationship. By surrendering your heart to God, you can experience a deeper connection.

  2. Allow Him to take charge of your life. This involves allowing Him to guide you and provide guidance when faced with small and big decisions. Asking for wisdom and guidance from God will always be there to help you.

  3. Spend time in the Word of God. Schedule daily readings and reflections on the Bible, sharing them with others when possible. Memorizing Scripture is essential for relying on His Word during difficult times and sharing it with others.

  4. Pray constantly. Pray not only in times of need but also to give thanks and pray for others. Spending time in conversation with our Father is another way to deepen our relationship with Him.

In summary, these five ways to deepen our relationship with God are essential for fostering a strong and meaningful relationship with Him. By giving your heart to God, allowing Him to take charge of your life, and taking the time to memorize Scripture, you can deepen your relationship with Him and others in your life.

What are personal relationships with God?

A relationship with God involves receiving communications from God about himself through his word and history. This communication is made vital by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. God takes the initiative in communicating with us, and we are awakened to these communications by the Spirit. We admire and delight in these communications, feeling happy, hopeful, and encouraged. We then return to God through the word, the Spirit, and the name of Jesus Christ, praying, acting of gratitude, resolving to fight the fight of faith, and obeying. This relationship leads our lives to go Godward while his life towards us is manward.

A relationship with God is most fundamentally through the Spirit through the word. It is essential not to seek a relationship with God through the woods, aesthetic encounters with nature, or great art. While God uses great art and poetry to awaken us, focusing on the Bible where he speaks authoritatively and infallibly is crucial to avoid a relationship distorted by error and sin.

How to build an actual relationship with God?

Building a relationship with God involves daily prayer, which is the most effective way to create and maintain a connection with anyone, including God. Effective two-way communication and service provide fuel for personal relationships, such as family, friends, and associates. A relationship with God is different from our relationships with people in our lives, as they may seem easier to reach. However, we can each have a deeper, more loving connection with Him than we can with anyone else.

Reading the Scriptures, serving others, and serving others are essential steps in building a relationship with God. By using prayer, we can create and maintain a deeper, more loving connection with God, fostering a deeper connection with Him.

How do you develop your friendship with God?

To grow a friendship with God, it is essential to draw close to Him, rejoice at His counsel, trust His corrections, obey His heart, celebrate Him, have a pure heart, speak with grace, and love Him unwaveringly, intimately, and sacrificially. This involves relating to God as Father, worshipping Him as King, obeying Jesus, and listening to the Holy Spirit as a Counselor and Teacher. It is important to avoid becoming over-familiar with God and losing a sense of reverence for Him. By thinking of God as my Friend, we can maintain a deep connection with Him and continue to grow in our relationship with Him.

How can people enter a personal relationship with God?

Intimacy with God is akin to close relationships, and it involves reading the Bible and praying as a two-way conversation. God doesn’t ask for a formula or a specific approach, but rather to hear His voice. This involves sharing what is on your heart and mind, just as you would with a trusted friend. As you pray, you will learn to hear God’s voice, just as Jesus says those who know Him do. However, it takes time to accurately hear Him, as you may not always know when He is speaking to you through the Holy Spirit. As you understand who God is through His Word and your mind is changed, you will be able to discern when He is speaking to you and when He is not.

How do you enter into a relationship with God?

God allows us free will to choose our relationship with Him, and obedience is seen as a sign of love and trust in His judgement. The first commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. God also asks for submission to His yoke and for us to exercise faith in His purposes, which are greater than our ability to conceive. Therefore, we must trust in His judgment and exercise faith in His decisions.

How to develop a personal and intimate relationship with God?

Our God is a personal God who desires an intimate relationship with us. We should spend time alone, enjoy fellowship, communicate, trust, and follow Him daily. This relationship gives meaning and purpose to our lives. We often let the busyness of ministry and life replace our personal walk with God. Our primary calling is for a deeper and closer relationship with Him, as stated in Psalm 63:1-8.

  • I enjoyed our phone conversation Titus and look forward to speaking with you again. One thing I like to do is I play guitar and I have for 30 years. I find myself writing songs that I don’t really write down. It’s like singing a Run On Prayer 5to10 minutes long or longer. Just having a conversation with the Creator thru the strings of my guitar and voice he gave me. It’s been very therapeutic for me also. I’ve dealt with depression and self loathing and the after effects of 20years of addiction. 9 years clean but the effects left behind and the memories I was running from with the drugs is hard to deal with sometimes. All that on top of caring for my sick mother 24/7 who has severe emphysema and COPD, on oxygen all the time. But I came up with a saying I try to say to myself daily. Head up chest out forever moving forward cause God gives his hardest battles to his strongest Warriors. 🕊

  • Titus, consider reading the final testament revealed by God. As many have the bible changed or taken out some whilst leaving some over the centuries, as you may find there are alot of contradictions. Dont take my word for it. I love your articles by the way peace with creation. Remember God is all Forgiving that none can forgive but Him alone☝🏻 and none should be worthy of worship Except Him alone and there is none like unto Him. He begsts not nor was he begotten. he is the One God without any partners but all sovereign belongs to him, Your and my creator.

  • “the gospel By which also ye are saved, (believe that) Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins …, through the forbearance of God; Romans Chapter 3:25

  • In none of Titus’s articles, have I ever heard him very clearly, crisply, directly state what a person should do in order to “be saved” (or, as some would call it, how to “accept Jesus as your personal savior”). I hear a lot of “you need to find him before it is too late!” and other rhetorical phrases, but I don’t recall him ever stating, simply, exactly what that process looks like. Is this article describing the steps to salvation? Or is it geared towards Christians who have already taken the first step of salvation? The article is unclear as to who the intended audience is.

  • To trust God is to know Him, to know Him is to know His true NATURE and CHARACTER. In Eden it was His CHARACTER that was attacked by the serpent by insinuating that God had lied to Eve (and Adam) about dying if they eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Jesus is the REVELATION of God. It is He who revealed the true NATURE and CHARACTER of God – because, as it is written, He came from the bosom of the Father in order to reveal the Father to us! How glorious is His word. “No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” John 1:18
