Why are frame shops so expensive?
Custom framing services often involve design consultations and services, such as frame, matting, and glass options, which are factored into the cost. FastFrame offers free consultations and has stores across the USA. For valuable items like artwork or photographs, conservation techniques can be included for long-term preservation. Overhead costs like rent, utilities, and employee salaries also influence pricing. The location and size of the framing shop can also affect these costs.
How do I avoid restocking fees?
To avoid paying a restocking fee, consider negotiating a return to a physical store instead of shipping the product back. Merchants may not admit this, but the restocking fee partially offsets the cost of returning the package. It’s difficult to screen a business based on restocking fees, as they are not disclosed when you buy an item. Amazon’s A-to-Z guarantee covers products that are damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered.
Under this guarantee, a reseller cannot charge you a restocking fee and must refund everything, regardless of the manufacturer’s claims. Amazon’s guarantee can be found in their ultimate guide to Amazon returns. However, it’s unlikely that you could have avoided paying $546 in restocking fees if you had known about the fee.

I find it hard to believe she bought and returned that much stuff with no one noticing. Amazon is actually picky about an account that makes multiple returns in a certain period of time. And I don’t understand how she was reusing shipping labels since once scanned it should say it was already a used label. Im so confused by this.
Even without the fraud in shipping fee, how can 42000 returns not be noticed sooner? She is probably buying 10x more items than that (which is a lot of items, but some people do this for reselling). If that’s the case, maybe Amazon didn’t want to catch her sooner because they’re making money from her non-returned purchases. Imagine you’re a restaurant owner and your regular customer pays $20 food and steal $5 utensils each time. Record the evidence and keep letting him do that for years until he no longer comes in for whatever reason, then send him the bill for all the years of stolen utensils. Genius … but scary.
It’s a shame when they go after someone for finding a loophole, but they call it peaceful when stores get looted for millions of dollars, and burned leaving store owners SoL. Every person got away with it. Also ya, read the comments, it’s a shame they blur sex offenders faces to protect their identity, yet show this lady and her house address ..
Supposedly you can hack Amazon stores and leave without having to pay for groceries. When Amazon was approached about this they were like “eh, whatever🤷♂️.” Apparently, the money saved by going cashier-less and the mark ups built into the pricing of items to account for loss, they make far more money than lose. It’s about time someone plays them!
so, dont try this but theres a simular method. basically you order a product from amazon, and return a cheaper or broken version of the product (you can buy broken tech on ebay and stuff) make sure the seller is amazon and not a 3rd party (since 3rd party distributers will usually check more info on the product, though amazons return warehouses are often flooded and less meticulous) in the end you’ll be getting the product you wanted, and your money back again. dont try this, it is fraud.
I found this odd, because the experience I had with Amazon regarding “returning DAMAGE/DEFECTED/COUNTERFEIT item” was the utmost unpleasant experience. Amazon’s response to my problem was they will replace the damage product; however, I have to pay for shipping cost for returning the damage goods, and also, I have to pay for the shipping cost for the replacement. So I figured, number 1, Amazon needs the money more then me, number 2, the shipping for sending back the damage goods and for the replacement is cost more then the price of the item. So I considered myself just got robbed by a thief which in this case is Amazon.
This is the reason I stopped selling on Amazon! I would send out an item then it would get to someone and they would say it wasn’t as described and I would have to give them a full refund and when I got the package back it would be a different item! Amazon does not care about the small sellers on their site! They even added a feature that does automatic refunds without even telling the seller so you just have money taken out of your account and you can’t dispute it! They even told me I had to apologize for having late orders and that ” I need to promise this won’t happen again” I’m sorry I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to get sick or have a family emergency! When this pandemic started they started to shift a lot of their shipping blame onto their small sellers and that’s not right!
Amazon fraud department is stupid. I sent a $200 Amazon gift card to my son. Amazon thought it was fraud and locked my account. I lost access to all of my Amazon musics, movies, and ebooks. I don’t want to open another Amazon account. Now, I buy from Walmart.com, Ebay, Bestbuy.com, and aliexpress.com.
I work at amazon corporate In california, they deserve it ! I think it’s really strange how everybody who comes into the amazon offices needs to sign an NDA & have an i.D. (yes even if you bring your child to work ) but government officials don’t and the one other Exception of firefighters who are fighting a fire … strange how a technology lab that’s just making alexia’s needs government officials in there as often as they do ! BOYCOTTTAMZONN
The truth is about amazon that when you create a return ticket and claim the product is defective and choose ups pickup you can put anything in the return box so long as it weighs about the weight on the return ticket. When you choose amazon gift card as the payment method of the return you receive that credit the same day ups picks up the package. Amazon rarely opens the return packages so they never know if you actually returned that vaccum or if the box contains a few old chipped dishes And never purchase their product insurance bc when it breaks just reorder the same or updated item then start a return and return the one that broke.
The clauses of consumer protection applies to companies as well who happen to experienced such unethical practice, as for the consumer, the clauses of consumer protection also applies to her as it is also “series of events” that it took place, since the company has fraud dept, investigations and fraud reviews and investigations are conducted in order to give clarity to one another, as both parties did commit an error, on her part as customer, and on their part as fraud dept.since the action has been repetitive. The clauses of law applies per negligence eitherways, as it is historical considering that the time of claim has been a total of 5 succeeding years. Clarity shall be delivered and provided by their respective counsels and they are always orderly.
It’s like when you work there – once they find out you’re stealing, they’ll watch you for awhile, letting you steal pricier items until they feel like they can threaten you with police and try and get you to tell if anyone else is stealing at the warehouse. They let it build and build until they feel like they can humiliate you with gossip in the building. It’s messed up.
So, I’m confused about this because the media didn’t explain it correctly. She orders something on Amazon and then returns it? I never get reimbursed for returned items that I have to pay for shipping. How was she able to do that and use old return labels? Aren’t somethings on Amazon free returns? Seems kind of fishy
31 accounts? For shit sake. I have technically 2 accounts. One is my own account. The other is because I deliver for Amazon as a side job here in Oregon. Lol. That’s plenty of accounts for me. Actually what’s nice is my account I login to deliver is the same as my account to order off the website. So that’s nice. 11-20-20
still applies today but its simply because of how easy the return process is. There will be those type of people but for me I buy and if broken obviously I look for a return or replacement or if it doesn’t satisfy my use then yes I will return but I always make sure everything is put back like new and everything it came with. I think only once or twice some products may have missed a cable or small part but that’s on me and now a days I’m very careful but in the end, companies will just make more products and returns may not be resold.
Wow! Lol! I have two accounts but not on purpose. For some odd reason, I can’t use the same account on my phone as the one on my computer. I tried to get it resolved but I can’t and Amazon knows this. My issue with Amazon is their flawed return policy. They don’t inform customers that they would need a box or print a label until AFTER the purchase and when someone is attempting to actually return the product. These potential returns could be done WEEKS after the purchase is made and when the box is thrown out. Now, I know some folk are going to say, why not keep the box? Lol! Living in an apartment complex doesn’t allow you to be box hoarders…just sayin 🤷🏿♀️.
So the fraud department just figured it out now after all those years ??? 🤔 ( instant termination there ) .. I’ve never ordered from Amazon but I do get all my neighbors packages though .. damn driver thinks I’m central control for delivery in my development!!! 🤦♀️💩.. when I call Amazon up they tell me they can’t pick up the package but to keep it !! Umm no thx …
How is it her fault for Amazon being stupid? Furthermore, please correct me if I’m wrong, maybe I misunderstood; after so many years of doing this, her total only amounted $165000?? So let’s see here…roughly 33k/yr. Might as well considered her an employee for Amazon at this point. But still why does this news website have to criminalize her like that? Amazon’s fraud department should shoulder the majority of the blame, seeing as how the allowed her to keep doing this for 5yrs, with 42,000 returns.
OK she found a loophole she really wasn’t doing anything illegal it may have been morally wrong. She should not be arrested she should not anything AMAZON should thank her, I’m sure she wasn’t the only one who took a vantage of this. AMAZON now has a chance to review their policies and make them better for AMAZON.
I don’t fully understand the exact nature of the accusations, so I can’t defend her, but a loophole is a problem from the company’s end, so why is she being charged?? When are you going to do a report on why Amazon is double charging people upon check-out… isn’t this an even more problematic fraud ??
Amazon is guilty of fraud too as far as many customers are concerned. We pay for Prime and “free 2 day shipping”… but order after order may take up to a week to be shipped. She games the system by finding a loophole… nothing I find respectful, but a loophole is a loophole. Amazon should fix the loophole and take it as a lesson.
Everyone here seems to be confused. She would buy multiple items. Receive free shipping. She would then cancel 1-3 of those items as they are being shipped/in transit. Amazon would send the return label. She would keep some items. But return some items. Every now and then. Amazon does not check returns 99.9999% of the time the returned amazon items are sent to warehouses with Amazon partnerships item disposal/garbage companies. And sometime they auction some items to wholesalers as a bulk order-you don’t know what you get- amazon quite literally sends returns to someone else’s garbage dump-and reports no environmental impact I digress While she uses this cancelled label-a day later when it arrives-spread across 32 accounts over 5 years-165k isn’t much– but mainly amazon is refunding her the item amounts-most importantly a shipping fee gets refunded to her- that she never paid for in the first place because each shipment to her was under free shipping- so essentially she fucked AMAZON out of 165k. The sellers of the products were fine. They only lose a certain amount for returns-depending on seller So she made the 165k on claiming shipping fees. That she never actually paid for Bravo madam- I salute you and whoever else came up with the scam with you!! I’m sure there are plenty of people doing this Probably got caught because she returned too many cancelled ship labels and boxes. And they went back to the same garbage dump company every time. That garbage dump probably had enough garbage to deal with- so they tipped off Amazon to the high amount of garbage they were getting from someone in the area.
$165,000 at 3.99 a return package for 5 years. She would have to return 23 labels average a day for the next five years. That seems doable! She can even churn 50 labels a day and take a day off. That also means her wages would be average $92 a day no tax. Making $642 a week x 4- $2569 a month. Let’s say it takes her 1 hour to print, 1 hour record keeping, 2 hr for other operating hours in a day- working on average 4 hrs a day-shes getting paid $24 per hour and after a year- shes probably churning them half the time. Pretty good hustle and she probably has another job thus earning her that extra cash. And now she goes to jail!
She should pay them back by working for them in there fraud dept.to help them find new fraud! What she did was wrong but,she knows how it’s done.Even without speaking good English. Her husband had to know what was going on “wife’s business” Not sure about his punishment or what involvement. She may or not be glad she got caught. It’s like stupid bank robbers that keep doing it till they finally get caught.Greed makes ppl crazy!
These comments make me lose my hope in humanity. This woman’s life is ruined. She’s in jail on federal charges no doubt. She’s being publicly shamed on the news and people are disgusted by her. Yet, people are still asking publicly how they too can emulate her. I really fear for my children and grandchildren in a society like this. Stealing is wrong no matter who it is from. You steal from Amazon, they will get it back by raising their prices. People who depend on Amazon for things (old people, sick people, shut ins) will swallow the cost. Not Amazon. Oh, and they will also most definitely change their return policy making it a complete nightmare or change their policy like Zulilly who offers no returns whatsoever. They aren’t just gonna lose $165,000 and forget about it.
I scrolled down, angrily in anticipation of the expected typical YouTube trollstyle “bashing” about how much trouble she should get in and blah blah blah, but to my pleasant surprise, many of you are actually having her back!! That’s good, you should – when people are in a financial crisis and no one will let them get ahead then they’re basically telling them: “I can’t help you, go start schemin’ ” then ironically they do it, and fingers are pointed.. Amazon needs a good old taste of it’s own poison now and then: As if they’ve never scammed!! If anything, give her a $10 fine and let her pay it in portions
Believe it or not, defrauding a company is not illegal. In a sense, any good business deal requires a little bit of dishonesty – however committing mail fraud is a felony. In short, if you defraud anybody with any portion of your fraud going through the USPS system, that counts as mail fraud. Luckily for her, Amazon runs it’s own logistics business – so if she gets a smart enough lawyer, she might get off clean.
Technically it’s not illegal though. Amazon policy is that they’ll reimburse you for your shipping. Are we not gonna pay attention to the fact that she actually BOUGHT all of those items but merely made a margin of a small profit off returning her 42000 items? She does own a business so it’ll only make sense she ordered that many products from Amazon to meet her necessary needs for her business. Seems to me y’all don’t want no one to have money and only for Amazon to monopolize the whole internet shoppping world. From that perspective only should be feared.
She would’ve got away with it, her mistakes were using her same name and last name, on all accounts also her IP address was also the same probably debit cards were the same everything was the same how stupid can you be!! Maybe make sure that none of the information comes linked back to you what a rookie!
meanwhile all corrupt politicians that have done illegal stuff worse than her aren’t even mentioned and this lady got her identity exposed they even know where she lives thanks to the corrupt media like trying to send a message to the rest of us that the rich and powerful are untouchables and the rest of us are f**d.
That’s not the police’s and justice system’s problem, that’s Amazon’s problem. She was following the process that Amazon made for customers to follow. So their company made a mistake and were too dumb to catch it. Why is tax payer money being used to cover for Amazon, a company which doesn’t pay taxes?
Isn’t that just typical; worrying about the little guys exploiting legal loopholes while the criminal element in the legislative branch lets anybody with over $10 million do the same damn thing and get away with it. She found a loophole, which she exploited like all the rest of you rich pieces of shit do every fucking year on your taxes leaving the poor people to pay for everything and you guys to just watch your money earn interest. I hope she wins this case. How about investigating why Tesla stock went from $400-$2500 in less than three months how about investigating that!
There is a new much better way to do do this Buy something and say its broken Select return by ups Amazon will expect you to return the package You edit the return address pdf so the package seems lost even tho you never actually sent anything You all Amazon and yell at them for losing it They refund you and you get to keep the item
When I had Amazon prime my packages were always getting stolen from my apartment that happened a few times to me I have no cameras in my apartment complex and there are no security guards to watch the premises so when I would complain to Amazon and tell them that I haven’t received my packages they decided to close my account because they expected it fraudulent and I only had one account and it only happened Max 3 times to me and I only had the account for one month this lady had 42.000 items and a matter of five years why they did not close her accounts if it’s coming from the same address ???? 😑😑😑
I have some work out hats that I sweat a ton in and after washing them they lost their shape and deformed quite a bit. I rinsed them immediately after the gym with hot water, stuffed the plastic bags in and form the shape and place them on my floor heating vents and by morning they’re good as new! Thanks bro you saved me some money.
i just use a spray bottle, warm water, spray the inside and outside, i use my moms old cooking pot which is the perfect size and shape for my old caps and line the hat with a large enough cloth inside and let it take shape in the sun or fan. i wish i could post before and after photos cuz the transformation was unbelievable. ive restored 3-4 crumbled destroyed hats like new using this method, never tried a steamer yet
Where to store the hats? I have quit a few of them and messed them up stacking them on top of each other because I have no room for them anywhere. They collect dust like crazy in my room so I put them in the trunk of my car to protect them. Now they are all smashed from being stacked on top of each other.
