  • The best part of this (and there’s a lot to love) is Seth’s enraged throwing of his duffel bag at the Christmas tree. This has to be one of his earliest on-screen appearances on the show and he shows way more energy and charisma than he became known for. I wish he’d gotten more chances to go unhinged like this instead of always getting the straight guy roles.

  • Hey people! It’s SNL….Some skits are funny….some aren’t…but after reading some comments, I gotta say “It’s just a skit!” You don’t have to watch if it’s uncomfortable. My family went thru same painful transition when I was in college. However, we were not rude immature spoiled brats and accepted changes accordingly. This depiction was obviously “over the top” with everyone’s reactions ….but again…..JUST a skit….

  • So, that’s it? Because some people do not like you, it means that everyone should dislike you? This problem happened between some of her employees and her, not between you and her. Ellen has a weird sense of humor, and might be seen as mean, from time to time, but did she do it on purpose or not, it is not our business. We will never know. You apology for hurting someone’s feeling. It doesn’t mean that the apology is well deserved. You have to remember that she did a lot of good things as well, so let’s not put our nose in people’s business.

  • Just to present an alternative point of view in all these “this is so accurate” posts: I never acted out like that towards my divorced parents’ ir their new partners. I’m not sure if that behavior is the healthiest way to deal with what you’ve been put through recently but I cannot recommend the opposite. In fact, I kinda wish I’d let out some of my various oppressed emotions at that age, and not be quite as dysfunctional as an adult who’s constantly escaping relationships and has to process all those oppressed emotions with all their manifested coping mechanisms now.

  • that was almost 23 years ago. wow. I feel so old. i was always out ‘clubbing’ on Saturday nights so many of these I only recently found on YouTube. I’m home with my dog every Saturday night now. oh, and do people still call it “clubbing” nowadays? I read that people don’t go out like they used to and the term ‘clubbing’ faded into the ether due to the cost of going out to a nightclub anymore.
