In the third story it is terrible that a deal was made so the perpetrator could escape the death penalty if he showed the police where the girl’s body was, but all they found was her hair. He got out of being put to death, but the girl’s parents never recovered their daughter’s body. This was truly a deal made with the devil.

Just wanted to say every time someone mentiones its a Christian, Christian as in???? I’m a Roman Catholic, there are a significant differences in some and I’d be good if you could find out and specify what his beliefs were precisely. It can get very challenging growing up in Christian families and parents or one of them being all extreme about it. Like my dad was fine with my brothers plays shooting games but I’d get a horrible battery for reading Harry Potter books time back. Things like that can lead to hatred to your own parent. I think the guy got obsessed as it was giving him some comfort from the trauma he experienced in the past. There is no excuse for what he did but he never received the help from his own parents when he needed it, so broken and feeling not looked after as a child it turned him to be nasty and caused all that sadness.

I don’t think it matters what the subject of the game is, I think he’s spot on about it affecting the same part of the brain that is affected by drug addiction. Now, we know that addiction to social media or the internet in general is a real thing, so addiction to article games is in the same vein. I do think it makes a difference if a person is predisposed to violence as to whether or not they’ll react to withdrawal from whatever it is they’re addicted to with violence, which differs from addiction to some types of drugs that do physical damage to the structures of the brain and can completely change a person’s personality even if they didn’t have a predisposition to violence. I think we need more studies on this kind of thing, because with kids now using computers, cell phones and tablets at school in addition for recreation, it’s something that’s only going to become more prevalent in the future, not less.
