Why Is Meghan Dressing So Shabbily In Africa?

I think she does not care if she wears inappropriate clothing, thinking she’s the greatest thing since sliced bread and can do no wrong. Any suggestion or criticism regarding clothing falls on deaf ears. Also I don’t think she gives a hoot about fighting with Harry or making him mad- she will put on her happy face and smugly carry on and he stays a miserable, pouty handbag. She does not care.

Everybody keeps on saying her clothes were inappropriate for Nigeria and a rather conservative culture. They would have been inappropriate anywhere. You do not visit a school during daytime in a long nude sleveless, backless, braless evening dress ( I know there were two straps in the back, but hey), showing side boobs when you move, anywhere. It would be wrong anywhere!

Megans biggest problem is that she thinks she knows better than everyone about everthing. Her second problem is that she doesn’t do her homework. Had she done a simple 2 minute Google search she would have known that her wardrobe was inappropriate. She also misses the mark because she does not wear appropriate undergarments, tailor her clothes, or give thought to what her clothes will look like once she unpacks. All of this gives the appearance that the hosts at these events are not worth her time or effort. It is very distasteful.

I am convinced that she is one of those people who never grew out of the “rebellious teen” phase. NO ONE, in anyway will ever dictate, even the smallest thing, to her. For those who say, she was in a hot and humid country, that’s why she chose all those spaghetti dresses, shoulderless dresses and so on. That is completely wrong. You will feel even hotter in this kind of clothes with bare arms, bare back and shoulders. You begin to sweat, your skin becomes sweaty and clammy. It is so uncomfortable and also uncomfortable for those around you who accidentally or not get to touch your bare skin. Look how people dress in these countries. I agree with all you said. I just want to ad that I think the Meg doesn’t want to fit in or to blend or to be respectful of the traditions or places or people of the country. She wants to stands out, she wants to be seen, to be the sexiest woman in the room, the only one who gets the attention. For someone who cares SO MUCH about how people see her, who spends mountains of money trying to change that, she still won’t ever do or be or wear anything appropriate. Full disclosure: I have adored the Royal Family since the day I saw a secret photo of Diana Spencer, standing calf high in the River Dee with a gillie, learning to fly fish. This was before the romance had become public! I was captivated! My obsession led me to officially study the complete history of the Royal Families of England, beginning in the 9th Century, with King Athelstan, to current day. I grew to love and admire the modern day RF! So if I am slightly biased, please understand that Meghan & Harry’s disruption of the Royal Family, during the last, precious days of the lives of Phillip and the Queen, is something I can never forgive. Meghan’s mocking bow to the Queen, is seared into my memory, with Harry looking on….and allowing it. I am horrified how she abandoned her own Father, and destroyed her relationship with EVERY member of her own Family except her Mother, while speaking on love and tolerance and family. She has denied her children the opportunity to grow up within a large family of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and Grandparents, etc. All because she was NOT treated like a QUEEN. I am horrified at how she destroyed Harry’s relationship with HIS family, and how neither of them can be TRUSTED to NOT reveal/record/photograph, private family matters. And yes, there’s a thing called “being MARKLED”, ie, the act of a person being “dropped”, when no longer needed by Meghan. Shameless and hypocritical IMO. The RF has been both her luxury meal ticket, and route to historical infamy.

Harry has gone from one spare to another. He knows better how to conduct oneself even on a ‘faux Royal’ tour. I think the scales are starting to fall from his eyes. Apart from the White trouser suite (even that is the Nigerian funeral colour), everything else was inappropriate, ill fitting and disrespectful.

My husband was a Director, for a major American Corporation, and after moving to Tokyo, we traveled all through Asia, and Europe, mainly for business. At a few places, (ESPECIALLY, in the Middle East 😱), I was dressed, MOST inappropriately! IMMEDIATELY, the females in the group QUICKLY came about with scarves, and helped me cover my arms, and chest, AND a head scarf! I’m a quick learner, and this happened only twice ~ I got the message, immediately!

Personally I think Harry’s anger was in part was drug withdrawal, and I could also imagine an element of frustration of playing second fiddle to Megan. Not to mention her refusal to show anyone any respect. If he is still using illicit drugs and was not able to access them, if was in any way addicted he would be feeling the negative effects of a come-down. Her clothing choices on this trip were not only vulgar and inappropriate, but I thought the choice of copying Catherine in the white suit was quite telling. There is clearly a pettiness to it but there’s also that element of mimicking those she secretly sees as superior or wants to emulate. to copy both Catherine and Diana’s looks it just proves she is obsessed and feels inferior to both women, no doubt because they are superior to her in terms of elegance, class, decorum, and in Catherine’s case intelligence. I find it interesting how the media has not questioned her inappropriate dressing around young people, why does she want to look physically attractive to children and young adults? It’s weird, and creepy. I will never understand how any parent of young children could willing let those predators around their children, and I mean predators as in they exploit other people’s children for their own financial and personal PR gain. Nor will understand how any school, government or institution would allow those two unqualified, unskilled, unregistered, severely mentally damaged people access to talk to young people about mental health issues.

OMG she couldn’t GOOGLE ” traditional Nigerian fabrics”. They are a rainbow of beautiful colors, patterns, textures, and oh.the.lace. So many lace fabrics. Simple dresses made from traditional fabrics would have been an easy win. And if you look at the models’ dresses in this Google search, these women BRING IT. No frumpy boxy bags of rags….they wear highly fitted cuts with architectural features in sashes, sleeves, diagonal cuts and necklines. Feminine, powerful, and better than any sad nonsense the Megs can dream up on her own. A glance at any Nigerian magazine or fashion site would have told her the way…but nope.

Even if those events have taken place in a European country her wardrobe would be considered as highly inappropriate! A woman who would appear at a women leadership event in this dress would not have been taken seriously, because she sets wrong subconscious signals. Another proof for me that MM has never really worked in a professional environment like leadership, as she lacks the right sense for the situation and her peer group.

I hated the white trouser suit. When you see the photos of the Princess of Wales wearing a white trouser suit, it fitted her beautifully. I thought the shape of Meghan’s trousers (pants) emphasised the skinniness of her legs. And in one photo of the white tube dress was see through – I could see exactly where the top of her legs looked (not good) she needed a slip.

The white suit looks nice when you’re only looking at Meghan. When you put Catherine next to her – my goodness! Catherine is perfection and Meghan is a sorry attempt to copy Catherine. I find this with almost everything Meghan does… if she just dressed for herself instead of always copying someone else, and if she listened to the stylists, and followed dress code, she could look amazing. Her narcissism really interferes with everything.

Well, I honestly have a problem with the white pantsuit – while it was the only really appropriate attire, there is something that bothers me. The single button is ok but the wrinkles radiating from the button suggest that something didn’t fit exactly the way it should. I think that pprobably the jacket was a bit tight in the waist and that caused the wrinles. Compare the way the white pantsuit fits Catherine and you will see there are no wrinkles “radiating” from the button and under the button hole.

Yes, Meghan’s generation definitely over plucked! California girls would sometimes pluck it all and just draw a line for the Drew Barrymore look (when she had blond Madonna hair). It depended on your friend group/culture. Teen magazines of the time really encouraged plucking, and no one ever mentioned that they wouldn’t grow back! Then threading trended in the 2000s. Women Meghan’s age are lucky to have lived through the 90’s-00’s and still have their brows!

I am curious what your education and training background might be. You are most impressive and subject knowledgeable. I find the way the meg dresses to be unsettling and off putting. It is so terrible! I just cannot understand why she does this. Your articles help to make some sense of all this. Maybe it is connected to her alleged Personality Disordered and not seeing things the way the majority of people do. Her dressing seems disordered!! She loves to use the word ‘lens’ – well she is seeing the world through a disordered lens = alleged!!!!! She looks like she is drowning in the yellow dress but some of the more revealing dresses and so many were not super flattering on her. Such a shame because she is soooo gorgeous, why can’t she find modest, well fitting, and beautiful clothes. My two least favorites are the red and yellow. Beebs, could you do a tutorial on the years of body changes a woman goes through and the changing styles that may need newer better shape wear as a woman goes from teenage years through body changes to college girls and how their style of dress could change and shape wear may be needed; and then maybe through first babies before and after and then when child bearing years are over how we may be different shapes for a while and teach us to really study our bodies so we know how to look the best we can at all ages. Help us not look like old ladies too. Lord knows there are common mistakes women make when you still think you’re a size 8 and boom you’ve grown 2 sizes before you know it because…WELL I HAD A COUPLE OF HARD YEARS AND FOOD BECAME MY FRIEND!? You could show how a slim girl like Meghan Markel dresses wrong for her body type and how maybe a good bra or slip could change a bad fit outfit to a favorite fit. Maybe do an eye makeup tutorial as well. Yours always looks fantastic and not overdone for day wear and special date nights. Thanks I hope. Beebs, the jacket of the white suit is NOT tailored properly. It is slightly too small in the bust area so the button is pulling and not laying well. Contrast that to Catherine’s which is perfectly tailored. I agree somewhat that the initial outfits were good, but it’s a dumpster dump from then on. Not a single outfit was appropriate for any of the occasions. It’s pathetic how desperately they’re attempting to present this as a “royal tour” when they both look and act like royal fools. Good job.

Rather than that white column dress, think how nice it would have been to have a Nigerian designer make a similar silhouette but in one of the beautiful Nigerian prints we saw a lot of the local women wearing. The white suit could have had a tank/shell that was the color of the Nigerian flag instead of that cream one. Badly missed opportunities.

You have to give it time and have more tests. If it has not worked, you have more chemo. None of us know what is happening, so how can you say, ‘Her family can see that her health is turning a corner’? What do you think you would look or feel like if you had the equivalent of industrial-grade bleach put into your veins? As someone who had stage 3 grade 3 breast cancer, I know what it is like and the last thing you would feel like doing is going out into the public to be on duty.
