Sigma Women are highly independent and self-reliant, with a unique blend of traits that set them apart from others.
They are often highly intelligent, creative, and have a deep sense of introspection and self-awareness. They value autonomy and privacy, preferring to pursue their interests and passions rather than conforming to societal norms. Why is INFJ so rare?

What do you call a person who loves wolves?
An individual who exhibits a fondness for wolves may be considered a wolf enthusiast. The number of views is five million, and the number of subscribers is five. The number of views for the current month is 9, 000.
Why do I feel a strong connection to wolves?
Wolves are highly intuitive animals that rely on their instincts for survival and can guide individuals to trust their intuition and communicate clearly. They can encourage individuals to sit in silence and listen to their inner voice, which can lead to a deeper understanding of life’s mysteries. Wolves are clever, intelligent, and excellent problem solvers, living in packs and roaming freely in the wild. They form strong bonds and are loyal and protective, teaching us about the value of community.
Despite popular belief, wolves are not aggressive and will only display hostile behavior if threatened. As a spirit guide, they can teach us to stand up for what is right and provide support when we or those we love are feeling vulnerable.
A wolf’s howl can be heard as far away as 10 miles, and just like humans, wolves have their own distinct voice so that other wolves can recognize them. Being lucky enough to hear one of their howls is a reminder that we are all primitive in nature, and that if we strip away the comforts of the modern world, we are all wild, primal, and untamed beings at heart.
What personality type is the lone wolf?
Being a lone wolf can be beneficial for INFJ personality types, as they tend to be self-directed and can work long hours without constant social interaction. However, they can also attach themselves to this mindset, idealizing their hyper-independence and never asking for help. This can lead to extreme stress, burnout, and the belief that it’s impossible to trust anyone else.
An INFJ struggling with lone wolf syndrome may feel isolated, misunderstood, and cut off from connecting and collaborating with others. This heightens their natural introversion and increases social anxiety. A new class, “Living for Yourself”, is being taught to address this issue, starting on November 30. The idea for this class was based on students’ comments about how deeply INFJs struggle with living for themselves, as they often prioritize others’ needs. This topic is particularly relevant for INFJs and INFPs, and the class is expected to resonate with many people.
Is being a lone wolf bad?
Lone wolves are individuals who value their autonomy, self-reliance, and trust in their abilities. They are often anti-authoritarian, struggling to follow rules and guidelines if they disagree. They are socially disengaged, often keeping to themselves and having fewer friends than outgoing team members. Lone wolves are extremely direct, focusing on results and expediency, often at the expense of social norms. They are highly creative, bringing unique perspectives that can lead to innovative solutions.
They are results-oriented, often being some of the best team members, as they care most about delivering results. These traits make them a valuable asset to any team, especially if they can navigate their downsides and contribute to a team that consistently wins.
Is Lone Wolf positive or negative?
The term “lone wolf” often has negative connotations in human society, as it often refers to individuals who are perceived as unsocial, eccentric, or threatening. However, being a lone wolf in the wild can be more than just a personality trait; it can be the difference between life and death. In wolves, the natural cycle of dispersal marks a pivotal and perilous chapter in their lives. Dispersal is the permanent movement of an individual wolf from one pack’s territory to a new territory, typically to find mates and form new packs.
Dispersing individuals often leave their natal habitat or may disperse if their territory was taken over by a new pack or a mate died. The primary motivation behind these departures is intense competition for food within the pack. Wolves often choose to leave their packs and become solitary hunters because they seek better opportunities elsewhere. Interestingly, not many wolves survive this challenging life stage, and mortality rates are known to be high but still relatively understudied in most areas.
Why do I like being a lone wolf?
Solitude is a choice that many individuals view as a deliberate and desirable choice, allowing them to self-care and self-reflection. This mindset shift highlights their personal agency and the ability to make the most of their time, leading to a positive solitary experience. Lone wolves often perceive solitude as offering autonomy and freedom, allowing them to independently structure their time and do as they wish without external commitments. They also view solitude as an opportunity for authenticity, where they learn more about their own perspectives, needs, and priorities.
Solitude provides purpose, as many individuals find purpose in solitude, achieving personal goals such as finding peace, rejuvenation, balance, and confidence in their daily lives. Researchers found that individuals who embrace solitude respond healthily to the discomfort that accompanies it by using coping strategies such as understanding solitude, finding self-compassion, and focusing on the present moment.
Understanding solitude allows individuals to temporarily distract themselves or process difficult emotions, while finding self-compassion allows them to check in with themselves without external distractions. Focusing on the present moment helps individuals enjoy time alone, become fully attuned to their inner world and external experiences, and disengage from unhelpful patterns of thinking.
Why am I so fascinated with wolves?
People’s fascination with wolves stems from their belief that they are the only truly wild living animals. Wolves have a social structure similar to humans, preferring to live in family packs but occasionally living alone or in pairs. They have impressive features like sharp eyes, keen smell, graceful movements, and long howls. Wolves are viewed as a keystone species, beneficial for the economy, and connected to primal selves. They are often viewed as a valuable resource and a source of inspiration for humans.

The hardest walk you can make is the walk you make alone, but that is the walk that makes you the strongest. That is the walk that …
I spent most of my life believing there was something wrong with me because I enjoy being alone more than socializing. Then I started seeing articles about introverts, creatives, and highly intelligent people that explained everything. The fact is it’s rare that I meet another person I find interesting. When I do, socializing with them is a pleasure. I no longer think I’m the problem.
Comes from a lifetime of rebellion and constantly going against the grains of society. I’m 44 years old and I’ve never really found anyone that I have a lot of things in common with or enjoy being around for extended periods of time. I feel bad for people who don’t thrive in isolation, they have no idea how free it makes a person.
I love being a loner. The peace of mind is intoxicating. As a woman, people are more obsessed with my love life than i am. Ive learned to give “crumbs” of info and change subjects in painful social situations. I cant stand typical female parties( baby/bridal/candle/sale etc ) . Im fiercly independent. I can easily leave people behind. Im not emotional that much. I love learning things online. I find being a loner as a female is harder than men. Theres a stigma esp if shes attractive. Ive gotten “your so pretty -why are you single/not married”😤
I am so gentle and agreeable and acquiescent that practically turn everyone who has a relationship with me into a narcissist. Eventually at 45 I discovered that I’d better remain a lone wolf and not mix with people. In other words I am more on the side of respect than intimacy. And I must tell you this: for the first time in my life I feel soooooo free.
Never realized how much of a lone wolf I was. every single trait was spot on. I don’t care to talk with many for their boring irrelevant conversation especially. I love practicing guitar, working around the house and making sure to steer my two young adults in the right path. Motorcycle rides and in my later years I think I may have found someone but still working on it. God bless us all.
I have researched my personality type and without a shadow of a doubt… I am a long wolf. I matched up to this article 100%. thank you sir! Well…. I now realize… I’m good at Social events and can get chatty but it hardly ever happens and I’m not one to initiate it. Don’t mind getting in and getting out
According to your criteria, I am an introvert/lone wolf hybrid. When young, I was confused about who I should be but knew I was different. As I got older I realized I am a lone wolf type and owned it. If I had seen this article when I was younger it would have made life a lot easier. Thanks for sharing.
Perhaps a spectrum exists between introversion and lone wolf personalities. I find I exhibit characteristics of both; however, I don’t fall completely into one category nor the other. Simply a mixture of both. And this position can shift either to the introvert extreme or the lone wolf extreme depending on circumstances and situations. Also, I’ve always referred to my disposition as being an eagle more than a wolf: birds of a feather flock together, but the eagle flies alone. 🦅
I’m very happy being by myself, I’m married but I’m happiest when I’m in my room alone. I’m socially awkward, I don’t like being around people. I go to the grocery store or I go with my husband to pick our son up from work and that’s the extent of my leaving the house. I don’t have a social circle, I just have my husband and son.
I knew I was Lone Wolf all my life since early childhood. I even tried to fit in but wasn’t gonna changed who I was and surprised few in doing so with choices I made I stuck with it. At first I thought it was because I was really shy with no social skills but obviously not. I had very small closed circle of friends and half of the time, which would be my free time would be my alone time to do whatever I enjoyed to do regarding my hobbies cause I knew I didn’t the same as most aswell as my family. In a weird way, I considered myself the black sheep of my family cause I was nothin like my other siblings. Sometimes, I only tell those who don’t know me that I consider myself to having a dark past I’ve never told anyone I know in person. Had ambitions still till this day, like writing ideas for movies. Not directing, I’d wouldn’t wanna move out to California or wherever to do that line of work. I’d prefer just giving my ideas out to someone to the right studio to handle it with no money in return other reckonition for those ideas. If I was a director of movies, I’d be the type who doesn’t care about getting Oscar’s or nominated for one, I’d just prefer be given a good enough budget so I can do the best I can to deliver the best movie to people to enjoy.
Lone wolf here, I was always a loner. I first noticed it when I was 8, I wasn’t interested in people or their drama. As days became years and decades, My personality has never changed. My parents never understood me, they felt like something’s wrong with me and we even had therapist consultations, therapist said I was an introverted person and I should be left alone. My parents think that I am a loner because they think I am some kind of violent and ride person and that’s why no one wants to be my friend. But the fact is that I don’t give people enough freedom to understand me. I absolutely love my personality and would probably live the same way. I Don’t need to paint myself with something else
I am a lone wolf type of guy. I can do fake small-talk out in the world; I actually do enjoy being nice to people and helping others. But I like being alone with my thoughts, doing music, art and film. Although I am able to enjoy the right company, I never feel alone even though I have no regular friends.
Being autistic, I’m not social whatsoever. My life has been spent trying to get others’ attention and acceptance merely through charm and personality. It works momentarily, but I never hang out with anybody nor do I think anyone considers me a close friend. As I’ve gotten older, it’s gotten easier to remove people from my life and just focus on myself. I’ve picked up a passionate hobby to which I hopefully will let loose once that opportunity comes. When I first heard about the lone wolf personality, I freaked out as it described me perfectly. I don’t even use the term perfect.
Loud Alpha type men dislike you or will try to challenge you, cuz they see you as a threat to their {attention, success}. Introverted Men first impression’s feel you are arrogant cuz you dont open up easily or introduce yourself at a casual level. Iv learned that when in a group its more relaxing to let Alpha’s do all the planning, ground work, introductions etc cuz they crave that and usually are good at it, and only step in when needed.
I was a lone wolf who hated everything but himself. I had extreme trust issues and disliked interacting with other people. I realized that there was no meaning in living my life. But I found Jesus and now, I’m following him, helping and loving others. He gave me a new life and a reason to live. Thank you Jesus!
I’m an L.W Gemini & I love my freedom, independence, individuality & uniqueness. I once read a quote somewhere like this: “The Lion is the King of the Desert, the Tiger is the Lord of the Jungle… …but the Wolf, does not perform in the Circus” This resonates deep within to NOT follow the crowds, trends & thus maintain the aforementioned traits. An alpha character of sorts, with no need to prove anything to anybody…except myself. Helps me keep my peace of mind intact!
This is me, though some tints of introvertion as well. Thanks for being a mirror of mine and thanks for the millions of sople who have spent their time researching on this personality type. It makes me feel fine, like being home whenever I come into these kinds of topics, it makes me feel that my” weird ” personality in a normal one, it eases the weigh on my shoulders. I wish I can meet a like minded person at some point of my life. Thanks for taking your time in reading me.
It doesn’t click until you get older. I love group activities and meeting new people but I’m starting to remember and now I see. In lunch I ate alone, in gym I sat alone, on the bus I rode alone, in the club I went and danced alone. And at bars I ate and drank alone. And more than ever I love my solitude. But it’s beginning to get depressing because I feel like something’s terribly wrong with me
I attend social gatherings but I don’t need them and I don’t feel super attached to the people or need validation from anyone else. I think the mob mentality is just weird and a sign of low intelligence or low self esteem to constantly need a group with you. Adults should be content with being alone.
Thanks for the reminder. Indeed, often surprises for those who confuse the two motivations (two types of introverted). We often go from “little bear” to “big bad wolf,” lol. Not surprisingly, but this reminder allows us to refresh ourselves, for my part, everything corresponds to 100% including the importance of authenticity, sense of responsibility, perhaps a little excessive, and the deep boredom in the evenings. Lol.
It’s taken a lot of courage, to do my own thing–homebirth, homeschool, go to Spain alone, refuse Shots for me & our kids. I think people are a mixture–extrovert, introvert, lonewolf. I am. Stats say that people who are more social live healthy lives over 100! That’s going to be me. I feel sorry for people who have no relatives/no friends. Eleanor Rigby didn’t. I’ve been dating for a decade and am remaining a lone–not terribly lonely–until I meet someone truly interested in what I’m interested in.
Lifelong Lone Wolf here. It has been difficult to navigate in a world structured for the “social.” There is so much stigma attached to actually being AUTHENTIC – a whole other kind of discrimination. Since childhood, albeit through family, school, eventual relationships, felt constantly pressured to be part of the pack, I refused. Considered a recluse by the very few that know me, fine. I’m happy with my books, painting and writing, as well as composing music, what else can one need? Most people will never understand what’s it like. Did I mention my penchant for Lycanthropy? Comes with the territory I guess.
That is me. I find people interfere with the things I’m trying to do and waste my time. Even family members do it. I grew up alone (the only child in the house). I function best alone and I don’t care about most things people have interest in. I don’t care about nails or hair, cars or sports and a lot of related things. I don’t need others approval.
Great article. There is however why certain Lone Wolves like me become a Lone Wolf in the first place because they cannot trust or get too close to a person because of a relationship, or relationships/friendship that has ended badly, and left scarred like I have. You are left betrayed and angry. Certainly cynical. When people have said the patronizing words ‘forget and move on’ its not quite as simple as that depending on the severity of the trauma. I have no time for aggro or grief anymore in worthless relationships and I am quite happy exploring a new place or country by myself and looking at all these idiots obsessed with a mobile (cell) phone as if their lives depended on it
As a certified lone wolf and Sigma, I can assure you that whatever you said is partially correct. A sigma doesn’t need validation from others. It gets its motivation by itself and doesn’t care about what others think about it. Me personally as a lone wolf, I have diminished my contact with beta males / females because it lowers your motivation and your ability to become a true sigma! I only communicate with other sigmas or lone wolves and people that identify as them. I’m an independent person that has his own believes and can change the way the world thinks. I earned my own validation and knowledge about the world. Thanks for summing up the characteristics of a sigma lone wolf personality. 🗿🍷
I’m an INJF and have some extrovert traits like sometimes I wanna be with some friends. But here is the problem, as a introvert I have any good friends. And also I have been at another town for a month and will be here. And i feel lonely😔😔😔😔. No frnds, no brothers or cousins, no neighbors, just me and my bad memories.
I could live on a deserted island, and be self sufficient in every way and be completely happy. I’m still waiting for that day if you will, to bask in the bliss of solitude. What I’ve witnessed in the bustle of the big city’s and at times in small towns, is the mentalities id rather not be a part of. I’ve seen how more and more the weaknesses of many are becoming a virus it seems. Mainstream followers depending on the weak just as they are as well, or worse. My father, God rest his soul, taught me mental, physical and spiritual strength, among other things, that which most in society lack in extremes. When the SHTF, and it will, I’ll be residing in my own personal, serene, haven. While the rest of the World tears itself apart. If for some reason I find myself entangled in it all unfortunately, I am very content knowing I do not fear death and I’ll await my next journey after.
This personality type seems bogus, but then I fall into all of those categories. I took my introversy and ran with it. All my hobbies all bizzare, often unpopular. I value me time the most and I have no problem with cutting toxic people out, and are strict with my boundaries – my room is my temple, and nobody will tread on this. I’m never lonely and I feel fantastic, especially when working on my craft.
I am an introvert with a people pleaser trait in addition. I don’t mind being on my own infact I feel more energized alone compared to my old life where i was surrounded by opportunistic people and meanie. I would like to develope and evolve myself to become a lone wolf because I feel more empowered alone
It’s hard going out of the lonely wolf personality. I tried during several months to go out of this personality attending to sport clubs, but at the end I didn’t make any connection with anyone, nobody wanted to talk with me while everyone were cheering up themselves, so I resigned myself to walk alone again
Interesting, I love and value my alone time. I can talk to anyone, but don’t need to. The only person I can work together with is my son. We think alike and know what the project needs, not so with my husband. I have never been able to work easily with him, even after 43 years. He is now disabled, and he doesn’t understand the need for time alone. I love going to the store alone, it’s peaceful.
99 out of 100 of you will never even get close to understanding what being alone, lonely or a lone wolf is. After spending most of my life in prison and solitary confinement I can tell you there is nothing cool, mysterious or romantic about being a lone wolf. It’s like a curse. I wish I could be part of a pack but I am simply unable.
I have participated in long meetings before with rappers sports authorities and I had couple good meetings with NASDAQ but yes I don’t join them much anymore not because I dislike it but I rather be a independent thinker than being pushed to accept social confirmation but we all will work it out I am not a rebel or do I want to be a tyrant but I enjoy accomplishing new goals that are defiant
We moved constantly when I was a child, I was the new kid at school 13 times. I have rarely had a friends and always find socializing awkward. Alcohol helps me imitate people having a social time. I look in wonder at them having fun together – there is no spark in me, only fear and longing. I am old now, and lone wolf has been my life – but not by choice.
It’s interesting enough how I find most of my personalities as mentioned in this article. Although, despite the fact that I am depicted as the lone wolf, there are some times when I can be the alpha due to my intriguing manners that my friends have found, and it’s not rare as well that I am sometimes being introduced to my friend’s acquaintance. It’s ironic how my “friends” would see me as the alpha while in reality I prefer to be the lone wolf
I was going to say 9 out of 10 – totally unartistic, utter philistine But then, I remember saying to one of my 12 Step sponsees a few years ago that I was wondering why, a fine art student would choose a total philistine such as myself without an artistic bone in his body as his sponsor. His response was that he saw my recovery as my art. So I guess, 10/10 happy and healthy lone wolf recovering drug addict in 12 Step Recovery. Humongous virtual hug and oodles of very real love ❤️❤️
This article was so enlightening, i knew i was introverted and fought against it, a fight i did win, now i know how to engage with people and how to quickly meet new people. But I didn’t want to anymore, it was like i didn’t actually want to meet new people easier, more like i just wanted to know how to meet people easier without ever using that knowledge in the end. This article solved a lot of confusion for me, as I’m now pretty sure I’m not just an introvert, I’ve just been a lone wolf all this time. Thanks so much for this it helped me a lot!
I am race being a “lone wolf”. I am an only child. I’m also compassionate and empathetic. I love music, art and fil, and books…….those are very personal experiences to me. I have been lucky to have several best friends BUT I am loyal and protective of our friendship. I am committed to being honest and frank. And I’m committed to lifelong learning…..Memento Mori.
I’m 76 and didn’t need to watch this article (though I did) in order to know I’m a loner aka lone wolf (though a harmless one). I love being alone doing as I wish though I treat everyone I encounter with common courtesy, respect, and kindness. I love and help animals and aid the homeless when I come across them. I answer to God and my own conscience as we all must.
The truth is being a lone wolf is my alter ego. I never socialize with anybody like anyone else even if i do, its not like im into that. At my job when my coworkers are talking in a little group, i sever myself from it and do the lone wolf thing because thats who i truly am. Im 23 and ive never been in a relationship before, and frankly, idc because theres no good women out here, also they never cared about the good things ive done for them at my job or outside of it. Thats why ive stopped doing the things i usually did because they will never give me the proper thanks i was hoping for. Hope, faith has went up in flames. So now im embracing my true self, being a lone wolf. At least that way, no girl will control me, monitor me, track my location, play private investigator or hire one, or text and call my phone every 10-20 seconds. That has never been done, and i want to keep it that way.
9 out of the 10. there are a small number of people who’s opinions matter to me the rest I just ignore. when they talk their words often jumble into an odd noise. Used to think it was because I was victimised and tormented by a teacher aged about 13 I used to block out his screaming in my face and it was something that never went away but I think it’s deeper than that. I’m lucky there are some great people in my life who accept me for what I am the rest can F/O
I MUST BE WEIRD ? I LIKE TO SOLVE MY OWN PROBLEMS AND ENJOY MY OWN COMPANY ! I learned to play guitar and played in bands for quite a while I feel uncomfortable when people come and praise me I am seldom satisfied with my own performance . Being dumped in an orphanage at a very early age has thought me TO RELY ON MYSELF AND I TRUST VERY FEW PEOPLE . Music is my best friend period ! I am in my 70s now and live alone AND HONESTLY I LIKE IT !
Other signs are things like doing everything by yourself, everything. Going weeks, even months without speaking to others. O collect split and stack enough firewood to keep my home warm all winter and I do it ALL by myself. A real lone wolf never marries and has any children. No Thanksgiving or Christmas. You might have neighbors who never speak to you or haven’t spoken to you for years. If you see a movie or watch an interesting TV show, there’s never anyone to talk about it with. And the worst part? Sleeping alone with only a body length pillow to cling to. This is how my life is and I wouldn’t wish a lone wolf lifestyle on my worst enemy. (Or would I?)
I may have commented on this post before, but I’m commenting now. I’ve always been an introvert with a lone wolf side. I can have friends but can’t fake friendship. I either like you or can live without you. I can say there is no hate in me. If I don’t like you I will do whatever it takes to avoid being near you. I work on things in my own way on my terms and schedule. Don’t push me, I’d be more likely to drop the project. Take it or leave it. My way or the high way.
It breaks my heart that many girls told me i am ugly and that is not even my fault to begin with, trust me i am desperate and wanting some xxx……..i CAN understand GUYS who FORCE it with a girl i can and i do but……i do not have the heart to do that!!!!!!! It tickles me how i do not get to fu..while other dudes do……this is not fair………………
1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 is so me, I do not get involved in any groups, if I have to for learning reasons, you will find me at the back of the class, since a child I always sit in back of the class trying to hide. When I lived in London, I met a woman who was able to see me, for what I am, she told not to be so closed off to the world, she told me the time was coming where you will have to open up a little bit, as you have important things to do for the Universe, that was shocking and I hope not, at the time, the elders in my family did tell me the same and tried to dismiss it immediately, but as time progress, I have to say they were right. THERE IS MORE, BUT I CANNOT SPEAK OF IT. One thing that help me to open up a bit, I was listening to a article of David Icke and he said if you stay silent, knowing the TRUTH, you are just as bad and apart of the problem, those words affected, so I decided to get online and fight with TRUTHERS. Now, here I am on social network, saying things, most of the times, I would have kept in secret. I am skeptical with everyone and its takes me time to let people in and even if I am talking with you, I am ex-tray you just to make sure, I genuinely need you in my circle. I am still finding it difficult to let people in, I have a handful of genuine friends & they get mad at me for staying away too long, when I lived with the X I would disappear when people came to the house, I heard them talking about me, as try to escape, why is she like that,so beautiful and hide away, they just do not over stand my world, so we cannot be together.
I am Sagittarius ♐ as independent like a lone wolf 🐺 as sixth Ranger as I am.. I will find Virgo ♍♀️ in my 7th house 🏠 as confidential loner as me ☹️..away any society because bias and crab 🦀 mentality….as become a Machiavellian personality as born leader or not…I am Biblical Hebrew faith of YHWH Elohim and Yahusha Ha-Mashiah bless Ophirians 🇵🇭 descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel 🇵🇭✡️🔥)
Be carefully fellas lone wolf sound great and all but many things factor you that you may not be aware of. Dont pretend to embody these characteristics when you’re broken or dissatisfied inside bc your childhood was emotionally turbulent. You learn to adapt as you age but leaving behind a trail of trash and bad relationships. This is me by the way. I’d practice bramachria to fully embrace who you are.
I don’t even know that I’m a lone wolf when I see this all of these are relatable to me I have a circle of friends and they are all smart but when there’s a meeting I only talk to them about important information and then when we all talk about the things we need they begone to talk each other a lot and they talking about outings and fan things to do next day or next week and i who refuse when I’m been invited because I planning and schedule the things I need to finish what we have on meeting, the early I finish the job the more peace I can have and do things that I want Sometimes I go out with my friends if I can gain something where we are going and sometimes when it’s a party I’m always lonely there because I planning in my mind and imagining things I want to draw or to write to make a world and the most relatable in this article for me is the loyalty yes since I was kid I’m loyal to the people around me even they forget about me I never forget them and about relationship I don’t have plan for that, for now I’m my age right now my gaol is to gain something and to achieve something that can impact other peoples
Sad but true that’s 100% me, even though I have alot of friends, I push them away to focus on myself I have same personality like both James Bond and Bruce Wayne shares, they are very fun to hang with and interesting to listen to, but deep down we like to conceal our real selves from the public because we are really mentally struggling or just need more time by ourselves to think.
I think there is still quite a lot of mix up with introversion and lone wolf personalities in this article. Also a lot of fluff which has nothing really to do with the lone wolf personality… But there are some good points dotted throughout. Things like they often follow creative subjects and that they don’t share information with others, or even that they have a small social circle (not as opposed to a large social group which is true, but opposed to NO social circle)… I think these are not really anything to do with the personality type as such. This personality type is a very self confident type that is skeptical and cares not for social interaction, and others also don’t affect their happiness. They act outside of social norms that people are typically part of in some way, even introverted people. That is pretty much it. That means sharing information with others and such is just not an issue for them and it is fine. They are skeptical yes, but can share information with others, and the point is that whatever the others think about, doesn’t affect their happiness because all that really matters is their own world, their own goals, but not at the expense of others. Also as you said, this wouldn’t affect them because they are a real personality, an entirely honest personality, and if someone doesn’t accept them, that is their own issue and not of their concern. Caring about sharing information and such is something that would be of concern to an introvert, not a lone wolf.
I’M A LONER, I WAS A PARTY GIRL WHEN I WAS YOUNG, I DEVELOPED A DRINKING PROBLEM, WHICH MADE ME OUTGOING, NOW I’M 60 AND ALTHOUGH I DO LIKE SOME COMPANY, I’D RATHER BE ALONE, THAN BE WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHO DON’T GO DEEP, THEY ANNOY ME AND UPSET ME, I’M VERY PRIVATE BUT DO TELL SECRETS ABOUT MYSELF TO PEOPLE IF I FEEL LIKE IT, I OPEN UP AND TALK IF I LIKE THE PERSON, MY SISTER IS ALWAYS PUTTING ME DOWN IT SEEMS TO ME BECAUSE I SPEND A LOT TIME ALONE, SHE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND I LIKE MY ALONE TIME AND I AM QUITE SHY OR INTROVERTED, I DON’T WANT A LOAD OF SHALLOW OR MENTALLY SLOW PEOPLE AROUND ME, I GET DRAINED EASILY BY PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST HARD WORK MOST OF TIME, I’M AN ARTIST, DRAWING AND PAINTING, I EXERCISE A LOT AND MAKE MY OWN PLANS, I FEEL BETTER WHEN I’M IN MY PRIVATE WORLD WITH MY NEW RAGDOLL CAT, I LIKE MONEY AND NICE THINGS AND I DO LIKE THE COMPANY OF LIKEMINDED PEOPLE, SO INTROVERTED LONEWOLF I SUPPOSE, NOT SURE!
Lone Wolf s are described in a very positive way in this article with some very admirable and unique qualities, but I just read a news story about a mass shooting in Texas where the author of that story referred to the 18 year old shooter as a “lone wolf”. So what is it? Is the definition as this article supports or the identity as the screwed up media defames? Looks like Lone Wolf’s need to start challenging these descriptions the media throws around and sooner than later. Just saying.
A lot of people are shallow and superficial. It also makes them predictable. I get tired of hearing about people going through the same problems repeatedly, no matter how many times they watch others make the same mistakes. People disappoint me all the time. I don’t crave to be social. I don’t hate people. They’re just a part of the environment. I can get what I want in my day to day life, and progress financially and improve my quality of life. Loners, introverts, and awkward people seem most interesting to me. It doesn’t mean I’m ready to make friends, but I’m more likely to pick their brain for the moment. I’ll probably never enjoy clubs or concerts.
I cut off all those who don’t have any sincerity or being genuine. I depend on me. I would rather hang out with my dogs and play and challenge myself in my musical endeavours. This means more to me then anything else. I love me, I am my own best friend and really when I think about it I love my own company. It took me a longtime to realize what I was truly all about. Now that I am there I am having the best time of my life. I have my family and my band family. I don’t need anything or anybody else in my life!
i only feel love when alone, same for empathy, compassion, understanding, validation, acceptance, approval. As a matter of fact, I wrote a book about self-growth, self-help, which was highly inspired by George Carlin, Bill hicks, Lewis Black, and Bill Maher based on their views on religion. in high school i labeled by teachers and peers as being a lone wolf, or nonconformist, i was also called this in the military for six years.
You know when I go for a job interview, and they say/ ask or the questioner is; “Describe yourself in a couple of words”,…WTF? Really man. We’ll be here for HOURS, If I get started. And it’s SUCH a BORE and PAINFUL! I’m like YAWN! Really man. “CAN’T YOU SEE ME????” you SHALLOW person. No thanks! Keep your job! I’ve got better things to do than sit here and entertain you! CHEERS!
THAT is me to a T… and I grew up alone- most of my work was ALONE (althought for companies or govt.- but working by myself independantly)…and I hate groups… but I can go places like Disneyland- or such- hate sports.. and just love being by myself.. I would like ONE other person in my life– but that’s enough to me
Just came across this article by chance. My Welsh Celtic birth sign is the Wolf. I have Blaidd Unigol /Lone Wolf. tattooed on my arm alongside my Celtic cross. Which represents being independent and happy to stand on your own two feet,no need for others validation. When people read it they assume it means all alone! That’s because they are the sheep! 🙂🏴
Boy i remember when i was young try to fit in school and high school, finding friends was hard to me at first, and even with my family i felt lonely and didn’t know why, 40s yrs as pass and looking personality traits, and this year 2023 i found out Sigma male if i’m one of then. As interesting topic of Sigma Male, INFJ, Starseed, Lighworker, Baby Bommer, and possibly Star-fire. and the touching one, You are the source, I’m the creator of creation, you are one with the universe. I’m definitely an Lone Wolf who just want my soulmate and help the world for a better place
I’m the only child, I am 69 years old. I know people but I don’t identify as having friends. I have epilepsy but I still go forward. I feel more comfortable with just myself. I’ve been married but my wife and I are not together but we still stay in touch with each other. We have two children and three grandchildren. My epilepsy is better than it use too be . With all that’s on in the world today, you’re better off alone. You never know who you may encounter or what they may do. It’s scary and sad that we have to live like that, but it’s true. God help us all.
Spent my whole life as a Lone Wolf, I have only three close friends, no relationship because it’s a hard burden to carry on, I don’t think I can handle a relationship because of my Lone Wolf Mentality. But! I love my life, my family and my little friend group. There is nothing bad to be a lone wolf, I always see benefits. No hard arguments, no stress between family and friends, because I am a very good diplomat and no betrayal or anything like that. The lone wolf mentality leads me to a high spiritual path, a high philosophical path and to much more knowledge. I am a fabulous writer, a really good cooker, a very clean person. Don’t feel hopeless when you discover your lone wolf mentality, you have the best person around you on that planet and this is you.
I see plenty of people bending over backwards just to please other people. But, there’s that old saying, “Don’t light yourself on fire just to keep other people warm.” But, I also believe in my own saying, “I don’t need to burn others to keep myself warm…my warmth comes from within.” I don’t need anyone; but, sometimes, it is good to have someone to talk to in order to bounce ideas, hypotheses, and theories off of. A close friend or two won’t hurt anyone. However, hurting myself financially, physically, and emotionally for the gains of others won’t get me anywhere. And, hurting others financially, physically, and emotionally would only make me a terrible person. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been; and, I will only become even more happy as time goes on.
That article explain a lot for me, at first i was thinking that maybe i was broken in some way because everyone is socializing and i’m like just standing there listening, visually in group but not quite maybe i’m just some kind of a$$hat who don’t give a F or something, then there was all this introvert things and i started thinking, hmm maybe this is it but still there was some aspects in it that doesn’t stick, then i find THIS article and everything was where it supposed to be, the last puzzle if you know what i mean, so yeah that article explain a LOT for me thanks you are very WISE thinker xD
Me personally, i have always been a sigma alpha wolf. I ahve known this since I was 2. Sometimes I don’t go outside or shower for months at a time so people smell the primal energy that i give off. My only friends are my pookie bears on discord that I talk to daily. They would never betray me. My temper can go from 0-100 real fast. Dont mess with me.
That’s left me really confused, I thought I was. A lona wolf type but…………. Now I’m not sure………. I love my own company but I am just at ease and love socialising, to the point I am regularly unintentionally upsetting, alpha male types who get jealous, threatened and sometimes confrontation as they feel I’m out to rule the pack, which is far from the case………….. maybe I’m not any type………..?
I never understood why they claimed students were harmed by missing school during covid. I hated school from the very first day. I lived in the country from the time I was 5. My father had just come from WWII. He bought a house on several acres of land. I roamed that land and knew every area of the woods. When I turned 6 I did not want to go to school and never mixed with the other kids. I found that most kids were bullies or jerks. I was really small, still am 5’2″ for a man is small. I was in th 5th grade when I was strong and brave to start kicking ass to anyone who screwed with me. It is funny when you grab a 5’10” bully by the ankles and pull him down, then climb up on him wrap both hands around his neck and push on his adams apple with both thumbs till he cries. He never bother me again. As I became a man nothing changed as I found the same thing at work, assholes picking on you. I eventually opened my own auto body shop and was never bothered by bullies or assholes again. The rest of my life has been an interesting mix of dealing with people from a professional setting. I only met one or two people in the last 70 years I would refer to as a friend. In my 80’s I live in the country with my wife and we are very happy.
The one thing I would correct in regards to myself. I would rather have superficial friends and small talk vs. deep conversation and deep relationships. I can keep you at arms length at that way. You’ll never cross the boundary that people who feel bonded would. I never have to talk about things that would haunt me later. And small talk doesn’t typically last as long and it’s not as often. You won’t feel any kind of authority with in my life.
Being Call Out many times at work because of these qualities. I’m this type of person, I work independently and do not seek assistance and will surely find a way out. In this life I only have 3 persons that I trust . My mom and my 2 bestie with same qualities. I don’t like spotlights, I don’t need any attention,I don’t need others validation, I love to be alone. Being alone gives me so much time for myself and Ilove it. I walk by faith.
Instead of “lone wolf” analogy, a better one will be the “golden eagle”. A raptor that rose up like a phoenix from the remnants of the almost complete global mass extinction 65 million years ago, to dominate the skies. flying alone, or with his only lifelong mate, at 13000 to 16000 feet above the ground and yet keenly aware of the happenings on the ground at all times. visible only to the one who happens to look up or just before he (or they) swoops on his prey at the blistering speed of about 200 miles per hour with talons that has total grip strength that is greater than the bite of a lion. Simply amazing!
Socialization doesn’t mean socializing; they are two different things. Socialization is a specific term from the field of sociology. Socialization is the process of training a child in how to get along with society in a cooperative, mannerly way. We “socialize” our children to get along with people and behave at table, for example. Socializing, however, is any act of interacting with other people, such as chatting with people at a party or family holiday. People are increasingly using the word “socialization” when they actually mean “socializing.” Just trying to get our culture on the same page in our verbiage. Both words are valuable in themselves.
The only things I’ve found that urk me a little, with being a Sigma male, lone wolf, isolite or whatever label I or someone else slaps on me. Is that to the best of my knowledge I’ve never bred and that in all the years I spent travelling by myself. In 99% of all the adventures there’s no one that I can turn to ( in a physical sense) and say remember when we did that. Outside of these two things I’m very happy with my lot. Probably a little too honest for an open forum 🤔
This is why I can’t find a job. Everyone else is creating their own likable personal to get a job, and it’s bothering me that much that the way to get a job is to put on the face face which I could never fkn do. Fck job interviews. Why can’t they just do job audition where job seekers perform the job they want to do.
I’m an INFJ personality type money means nothing to me. If i see people in trouble, homeless, or got no food electricity or gas I’ll give them the money but some people can try and take advantage of my kind generous nature just to try and get what they want so I choose my friends very carefully being alone doesn’t bother me in fact it’s quite nice the only person i can argue with is myself and maybe the television haha. I don’t like confrontations i always walk away i have to walk away because i can’t run hahaha BTW I’m a bit of a joker
As a young man i ran with a crew of close friends. Now that Im older i dont care to make new ones. I find myself being strained just tryin to hang out. I like em, but I dont care to be close. Never was a people person. I somewhat despise their trendy behavior. Well, thats just my hang up, but i make associates than friends and I like it that way.
I have a strong urge to howl whenever there is a full moon, I felt sympathy for the wolf in the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and the 3 annoying pigs. And I can’t help but dream of roasted lamb chops with barbeque sauce and baked potatoes whenever I see live sheep. Does that make me a lone wolf? 😁
Videos like this are simply trying to rename introverts into something that sounds cooler, but what they describe is exactly what an introvert is. For example, this article claims introverts can’t say no to people, that’s completely false. Introverts are most likely to refuse a person’s request, thats kind of why they are introverts to begin with.
9 years ago . I was a normal social person with family and friends but I went though rough times in my life very thought. had no choice but disappear from my family and all also making wrong decisions . after that I became a loner isle no friends just work home and instruments couse I’m a musician. . And was my routine every day and little by little that became part of my life now That’s how I feel a lonely wolf but strong self efficient and don’t feel good in crowds I feel much better been alone AND THIS article I FEEL IS TALKING ALL ABOUT ME .
I am not skeptical, I am not an introvert. I like small talk. I enjoy praise. I like lots of friends. Yet, I still consider myself a wolf-type. In my opinion, lone wolf types exemplify negative traits while alpha wolf types exemplify more positive traits. Just to make a point, lone wolf types are mostly skeptics, as noted, and everybody hates a skeptic. An alpha wolf types define a hungry family individual, and who doesn’t love a well-mannered hungry family individual. Considering there are positive and negative wolf stories and fairy tales, what is the balance? If you can be programmed socially and psychologically one way, why not the other way for balance?
Ok, I got it. I’m definitely a lone wolf introvert because I have no desire for relationships of any kind. I see my dad and brother once in awhile, but since my mom died I socialize less with them. However, more recently because of what one friend said, I reminded myself to not share too much about myself with others. I’m pretty much done with people. “I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living” (Anais Nin).
I am a Lone Wolf….I’ve never worried whether people liked me or not..I’m very self sufficient and independent.. I like people but prefer my own company..I’m happiest when I’m alone…I know myself very well…know what I will and won’t do… as I’ve grown older I’ve come to like the person I’ve become ….I grew up in a family of 10 children…all older than me…I learned to do for myself at a very young age…I was married and have children who I dearly love and enjoyed raising…but felt as if I were in a cage….I had no alone time …..now that my kids are grown I can breath again…
I enjoy learning, being trained or educated or even from YouTube but neither need nor want assistance in doing what I learned. I have and maintain good friends but keep them at arms length. I even accept directions when traveling but rarely follow them explicitly. I am a contrarian and usually play the devil’s advocate in discussions. Yet I have worked from 1953 on with people almost daily, progressing professionally, socially adept but not necessarily sociable. I am also a lifelong bachelor. Pack membership or leadership has never interested me. Lone wolf? Hope so.
Introverts are extreme Extrovert are extreme In the spectrum This could be an ambivert personality are in the middle of spectrum and they know how to blend inn but they don’t allow people to go to Thier territory. While an introvert may needed to recharge but this personality are reallying on there mood. Bc they can do both intro and extro.
I enjoy doing things alone and need some down time each day to re-energize when I am around people or when I have had roommates in the past. I like to socialize with people but I abhor meaningless small talk for the sake of it and awkward and forced social interactions especially in Corporate America. I value friendships but would rather have 4 or 5 good friends rather than be Mr. Popular but have superficial friendships with most of the people. I also enjoy traveling with other people but have taken a few solo getaways when nobody really wanted to do what I wanted to do and a few times when I didn’t even bother to ask anyone. I have no problem going to a bar or movie by myself or making new friends on the journey but wouldn’t want to do it all of the time. Basically I am a lone wolf who has always had friends but I don’t always need them to be with me or a significant other to go and do the things I want to do. I know some people who fear even spending a night alone with their own thoughts or reading or perusal tv. That definitely isn’t me.
I watched this back in 2016. I was at my lowest point, recovering from a broken heart and from complex PTSD caused by an emotionally abusive relationship. It’s 2022 now and I’ve moved on, improving in every aspect of my life. Also found a much more loving & caring person with who I’m with for the past 3 years. Life gets better guys. Hang in there.
i rather be alone than surrounded by idiots. i rather be alone and dying than living with addicts. i rather be eating alone than to share a meal with selfish people. i rather workout alone than with lazy people. i rather be uncared for than to be stuck in a toxic unhealthy romantic relationship. i am alone. it is not so bad. it could be worst. it can always be worst.
A grandfather is talking with his grandson and he says there are two wolves inside of us which are always at war with each other. One of them is a good wolf which represents things like kindness, bravery and love. The other is a bad wolf, which represents things like greed, hatred and fear. The grandson stops and thinks about it for a second then he looks up at his grandfather and says, “Grandfather, which one wins?” The grandfather quietly replies, the one you feed
DUDE I listened to this every single day last year, while I was pursuing an admission on AIT (Aeronautics Institute of Technology, the best engineering school of Brazil and Latin America, there is around 150 people for 1 chair of admission) and an admission on Purdue University (even though I´m Brazilian, and being a foreign student is like 10x harder to enter an American university). I´ve been admitted on BOTH of them! And now, I´m listening to this on the other side of the FENCE! THE LONE WOLF CLIMBED THE HILL! HELL FUCKING YEAH!
In December I have 10 years clean from hardcore drugs. In October I have 3 years clean from all tobacco. As of today, I have lost 157 lbs. All of this, I did walking alone, up the mountain, hungry for change, hungry for life. And I will never stop. This article, I’ve been perusal this for years to help me. This particular article has helped me save my own life. It’s good to be the lone wolf. It’s how we make it to the top. Do yourself a favor and rise to the top where you belong.
