📹 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Leaving my DREAM HOME – House Tour | Rebecca Louise
Ahh fam, you girls are the best want to know what its like leaving this place and what it looks like?! well here is the most …
I honestly dont understand all the negative comments here. Why are people so damn negative all the time… predudiced? Jumping to conclusions about where a single mother got her wealth? Always assuming a wealthy woman must have “stolen” it from her husband? She couldve inherited, couldve won the god damn lottery or worked for it. For fucks sake, she could be a widow! Who cares tho? I honestly dont give a shit where she got her money. Im happy for her and her kids. It must be nice to dont stress about finances like the majority of people do.
I just want to say Rebecca, I really enjoyed perusal this article of your home! Oh my God! It is beautifully done and the time & effort I can’t imagine the hours and labor it took to create such a masterpiece. I love everything elegantly executed and MS. Rebecca, you definitely understood the assignment. your home is very sophisticated yet comfortable and I love it. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous home with wonderful features. The trim work was a great idea and all of the built ins are fantastic for keeping things tidy, especially with children. Woman after my heart lol! Definitely a home that will be easy to adapt as the family gets older & changes their habits/lifestyle. Well done 😊❤🇨🇦
Can’t understand why the kitchen cabinets (and other cabinets in general) didn’t go to their ceiling? Would have looked much classier. The floor plan is fabulous but the grey interior looks quite dated. Shiny silver mirror frames and picture frames? ….would swap that out…the blingy look just looks cheap and very ‘new money’. A wonderful job on the panelling. Nice job overall….and the tour was really great. She did a wonderful job. That bathtub in the ensuite looks so out of place imo…..Thankyou!
As I watched this article, I kept thinking, thank God I don’t have the 6500 square foot house any more. I wouldn’t ever want to live in such a large home again. I guess people dream of a big house like this because they see celebreties have them, but once you live in it you realize it’s just too big. It’s a lot of house to heat! What on Earth do you need a hotel lobby on the second floor for? As for the decor, it’s all very “nice”, neat and expensive (especially the built-in cupboards) but it lacks soul and the entire thing makes me feel like it’s a hotel, not a home. There is nothing of the woman on display but her admitted OCD. There is nothing of the boys on display. Simply no personality and yet I’m sure this girl has plenty of it. Go ahead and show it!
I really like her style. I think she has great tastes, specifically her design choices and colour palette and use of space… There might be a little more panelling than I personally would have but every corner makes sense… more or less spot on. The chandelier choice above the seating arrangement..! Very nice
The house itself is obviously beautiful, but the decor was so disappointing, to me. Of course, all that matters is if the homeowner loves this decor. But, it’s here on a YouTube article for us to comment on, so I did. I literally felt my heart sink a tad with each room, because they all look the same, tbh quite boring. I honestly don’t mean this to be rude–I’m just sharing my preference which isn’t only white, beige, and grey. 🤷♀️
This is a British countryside turn of the century version of kim K’s design aesthetic. It’s too much a mac mansion, it has all the classical details of a English state but without any of the character. It still beats 99% of houses in the united states however it lacks significantly in character and warmth when compared to other classically styled homes across continental europe or in the united kingdom.
I live in indiana and we know we need to move for our kids to have more diverse friends and activities… but we don’t know when and where. Love you and love how you’re pressing through the changes ! It’s tough ! It really is! You are helping all of us with our changes as you go through this. 💞hugs!
Good luck Rebecca! Thank you for the words at the end, very inspiring for all that are going through a transitional time. You’re going to do great! Love and hugs! And I love your house because I miss California a lot, but I’m here in Texas and I sure do miss the ocean? And yay Alphie! Keep getting better little buddy 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🏵️🏵️🏵️ and yes would love to see the new place!
The place we just moved to we are so excited and in love with it!! We moved a little further north than we wanted but we have almost five acres!! It’s nice and secluded with huge yards and wild blackberries EVERYWHERE!! Our 2 year old daughter is so happy because she loves berries 🤣🤣🤣 we do have to downsize our stuff because we don’t have the same amount of storage space but it’s just stuff and we don’t use it. I was shocked by how much we have that we don’t use. Sometimes we’re a little nostalgic for our old house since we had a yearly 4th of July bash. We’re also looking forward to the parties at our new house because we’re no longer renting. This is our home where we get to make the rules and we’re having so much fun!
What an amazingly beautiful home and view. Can´t wait to see your new temporary home and kudos to you for training and climbing Mount Everest. I cannot wait to see that footage. Moist is definitely and ewww word, I also do not like the word fiance, Not sure why. Best to Alphie and cutie Lil Ms. Pennie. I am trying to listen to what you said near the end, being stuck and to keep moving forward and make the best of it. I am in my senior years, and have been teaching special education in an urban district for 25 years and I want to retire and hand over the baton to this next generation. But retiring now would mean only 50% of my pay, (which as we know isn´t that much to begin with, haha). I will keep my focus on helping my students close the gap and I will try to not let the other part of the job get me down. I will keep listening to your cheery voice as I exercise and your podcasts. Thank you Rebecca for reminding me about the important things in life. Hugs!
I don’t like moving, but in the other hand, it means a new life and environment in front of me. So it’s great to have a chance to start all over at a new place. The old place does need a housekeeper to keep it clean. 😂 Otherwise it would have kept u busy just by cleaning the entire house every day. 🤣 I would love to see the new place. Downsizing is not easy, but it’s definitely a growing experience. I value experiences more than materials too.
