Is 10 ply or 12 ply better?
In the past, tires used bias-ply construction, where the first ply was placed at an angle to the tread, followed by another ply at an alternating angle. The more plies, the stronger the tire and the more load it could handle. Today, most vehicles use radial tires, where the plies run perpendicular to the tread. This construction adds stability, smoother ride, and less tendency to follow ruts or road imperfections.
While a true 10-ply bias-ply tire has 10 layers, counting these layers is no longer meaningful in the age of radial tires, as the type of plies and construction specifics determine tire behavior. Information about the number and type of plies used can still be found on the sidewall.

📹 How Many Trips to Joann Will it Take to Find the New Bernat Baby Blanket Dot Colors?

I love your articles and wished I could have completed this challenge with ‘The Crochet Crowd’, but I couldn’t find The Yarn anywhere. And when I contacted Jo-Ann’s website/ customer service, they did not have the colors, nor would they be reordering the particular colors for another 3 weeks. needless to say, I was very disappointed. But I do intend to make this beautiful baby blanket, so I’ll continue to watch and follow along until I can find the yard.
Hi Micky, i live in Quebec i am 2 hours away from Ontario, I don”t know if there is a Jo-ann store around here, walmart has almost no wool sections left and I have a Micheals near by and they do not carry many brands sigh, I went to get caron cakes and they had only a few colors I asked the person in charge of the department because i wanted the color buttercream or cookies and cream she told me it was only on display because it was a new product and they were not getting anymore wow,i love Caron simply soft and the more it goes they have less colors, i am very disappointed, sorry for venting lol, love your tutorials and i think if i live in Quecbec i can’t participate to win any prizes i think not sure but i will still join in .Thank-you so much i learnt so much you are a terrific teacher.. <3<3<3
I recently made a blanket with the home bundle – lovely yarn! I’m assuming the baby bundle is the same yarns? Quick question – as you are in Canada, why are you doing stitch alongs with Joann’s? Wouldn’t Michael’s be a better bet as we fellow Canadians would be able to purchase the yarn (it doesn’t look like Joann’s ships to Canada :'( )
I’m in Texas (in the desert) and when it just drops a few rain drops we call it spitting as well. Or at least my family does. You could work for Joann’s part time and help them get their yarn inventory organized if you don’t work for anyone else. I just found your website the other day so I haven’t checked out too many of your articles yet.
Ha ha we say spitting in Australia. I wish we had stores with rows of Bernat blanket yarn! there are only a couple online shops that sell it $30 a ball. Our spotlight big store that kinda looks like your joanne has some of their own brand blankie but it’s not as good. I’m so jealous looking at all the Bernat baby blanket. 😆
I participate in a weekly farmers market which has been successful and steady for the past year. I’m just signed up for a 3 day festival and have a month to prep for it. I need help lol. I have small $5 items covered but need some suggestions for quick projects $10 and up. I already make chickens, possums, bees, and frogs. Ideas please. I hate a lot of seeing little parts!
24:56 lmao the audacity of Ben to not know the variegated purple shade that y’all love! How dare he! 🤣🥲 Literally me: gets offended on behalf of the yarn because my boyfriend doesn’t know of a beautiful shade that I’ve literally never showed him or told him the name of before 🤣🤣🤣 Like sir please give that yarn the full and true recognition it deserves for the beauty of the colourway, and don’t ever disrespect it like that again!
