Something similar happened to me when I moved to the U.S. My friends couldn’t understand why we had rice errday, why I didnt have sandwiches for lunch…overall, why I was different and where in the heck was Guam and the Philippines anyway. Ugh! Woosa. Thx for doing you…
I do not expect you to read this, but honestly you are an “Organic Youtuber” if I can describe. You are so good energy like good food and you helps my mental health like good food does to my health physically. And we all know that we cannot live with only one aspect of health. Anyways love your energy and my favorite thing is to watch you in the morning after I wake up and at the night before I go to my sleep in my bed. Good Energy from Korea Maya! (BE SHAMELESS in Korean lol)
Too funny! My mom always packed me a meal of rice and whatever was leftover from dinner the night before. Everyone around me had “wonder” bread sandwiches, and would look at my lunch as if it were something strange. So yep, I can surly relate. And to this very day, my mom makes the best Lumpia EVER!
Oh my goodness, this brings back so many good memories! I had a Filipino babysitter when I was younger and I always was around her family and she cooked Lumpia ALL the time!! You sound just like her and let me tell you, Filipino food is one of the best I have tasted. She is the best cook I know lol (don’t tell mom) lol btw I love you and all your articles!

Sad! So many uninformed, ignorant comments here 😞 I have several vegetarian/vegan friends who are chubby and follow this lifestyle mainly because they care about the well-being of the animals. A vegetarian doesn’t necessarily have to be skinny or healthier than meat eaters. Rice and root crops (potatoes, yam, etc.) are vegetarian but high in starch and carbs. Fruits are vegetarian but high in sugar. Cooking oil is vegetarian but high in fat/cholesterol. It all comes down to your calorie intake. Also, some people have slow metabolism…
“You are what eat ba kamo?” 2. Not balance diet.
Biologically humans are omnivores. So di talaga advisable na tanggalin yung animal meat for our muscle. Pero still kuddos to them kasi may advocacy sila gaya ng animal cruelty. It’s their choice and tayong nakikinood we don’t have the right to judge them.
i think they chose to be vegetarian not because of health purposes.. the woman is a vegetarian because she was brought up that way. the man is a vegetarian because he was against cruelty to animal… i think it was never mentioned that they are doing it for their health, they just chose to eat plants than animals, maybe that’s why they don’t look that healthy…
Vegan and Vegetarian are two different things. Vegan doesn’t take dairy products… vegetarian people does take dairy products from animals… and most still eat fish and other seafood. I am vegetarian as well, but I try to balance my food intake. I take vitamin B12 for my blood. At kumakain ako nang fish just to make sure I get natural protein and Omega 3.
well… yes, your physical appearance is a representation of how healthy you are. Skin appearance, glow, honestly I find them unclean…. prang hindi neat ung grooming nila even sa packing of foods ni hindi naka gloves, and kaht ung mga buhok nila d man lang naka hair net, I know this is about food and not their physical appearance but they were vegetarians selling their food to others so their physical appearance (not their looks), “personal hygiene” to be specific is one way of self-expression, mukha clang hindi presentable kaya d cla mukhang healthy. Opinion lang hindi judgment to!
Vegetarian for ten years here. Hindi naman for crash dieting ang pagiging plant based vegetarian. Its a conscious choice to be healthier and humane sa animals. Also, Its not only for health but for our spirituality as well. Our body is a temple of God so we really should take care of it. Kudos sa pamilyang ito!
Veganism can save peoples lives..specially those who have incurable autoimmune disease..They said 350 lives were save out of 1 vegan.I was save by eating plant based diet.Filipinos wasnt ready yet for plant based food but the western world were starting to be aware of it..because they feel how the world is changing..linking the food, drugs and sickness (hospitalization), finding the root cause.🐷🐄.I hope you get my point, but it you filipinos were not ready yet then we respect all of you.
How can you sell to people and convince people that being a vegetarian or vegan is good and much healthier kung ganyan naman itsura ng mga katawan niyo mukang mga nanghihina at may sakit walang pagkakaiba sa mga taong walang ginawa kungdi kumain lang ng fastfood. Im not saying that physical appearance is the only way to know and base but if this people believes that being a vegetarian is far better than eating meat then you have to be more convincing with your body maybe exercise and go to the gym more.
If the first hoomans were vegetarians the earth is left with animals. Remember we survived hunting animals for food. Theres nothing wrong being vegetarian or vegan its your own preference, just dont ever think you are better than meat eaters. Pay respect to your ancestors you survived because of meat not just plants. If they are as lame as just going out to pick veggies and not fight wild animals what would you think hoomans history will be? We’re extict by then. Some people live longer eating whatever they want compared to picky eaters. Just saying..
Being a vegetarian doesn’t always mean healthy. They eat a lot of carbs I’m sure and sugar. Exercise is also key. If they don’t exercise and you’re consuming a lot of rice, carbs and sweets then it’s useless. Eating vegetables is very healthy but they are also adding a lot of other ingredients including a lot of salt. If people study nutritions then you’ll be able to really see what you’re putting into your body. Maybe if they eat everything raw without any other additives than you can see it.
I started removing meat except fish since 2011. I watched Meat.org . Grabe talaga how they torture the animals. Nawalan ako ng gana. Now I substitute my meat with tofu or mushroom, more of vegetables. I don’t crave for meat since then. Since 1995, I don’t eat pork anymore. The dirtiest animal . If you are health concious, kaya mo ‘to. Gaganda pa kutis mo. All you have to do is to educate yourself.
Vegetarian is good for the body but I guess sometimes we need to eat clean fish the ones with kaliskis and egg (kompleto po Ang nutrients nang egg Kaysa sa mga gulay pero vitamin c Lang Ang kulang sa egg according sa mga expert) and white meat like chicken. If you wanted to look and fit have some lean muscle mass. It helps to look younger as well.
Vegetarian nga sila pero they cook unhealthy..kc more on frying sa oil….para maging glow po..try to rat fresh vegies salad..and dibt over cook the vegies kc mawawala na bitamina nun.try steam or half boil vegie…wag lagi gumamit ng mantika para sa gulay..in middle east raw vegies kinakain..kayaagabda ung skin firm and ftesh
Ha? Vegetarian? Healthy? Sorry to say this because I used to eat a food from diet center puro fresh veggies salads, steamed and grilled lang ang inooffer nila. I’m sorry talaga to say this.💖
Why judge their creadibilty as vegetarian sa appearance nila. Madaming purpose para magVegetarian either for spiritual, health, compassion and so on. Also this is a proof na kahit typical family or person pwede magVeg.
Ung tipong isda gulay lang kmi tas once a month or twice mag karne at kelangan may gulay paring halo. Hehehe
Yung nanay may tatlong anak ano kaya?Malamang pregnancy baby weight niya yun. At same din its portions.
Walang carbs rice bread asin asukal oil and the rest. Realtalk
They’re not look healthy 😅 Vegetarian kanga pero mamantika naman yung kinakain mo or ang dami mo rin mag rice, edi wala din. And of course we need exercise not just Vegetable eater. Sorry but they’re not look healthy. For me, Instead of being Vegetarian I’ll switch to Vegan it’s more Healthy. Just saying.
Hindi lang naman pagpapapayat ang pagiging vegetarian. It’s more of a lifestyle.
Mas okay pang iwasan ang mga maaalat at stick to organic and less rice.
vegetable its not enough..you need eat fish good omega 3 ..beef a lot vitamins and omega 3 also ..avoid take a way food ..avoid using to much oil..best steam, oven the vegetables. and you cooking meat best grill and barbecue. you can certain amounts food 1 cup rice a lot vegetables fish..small steak good iron vitamins
People have different reasons on being vegan/vegetarian. Either health reason, ethical reason, spirituality, or/and even saving the planet. Kanya- kanyang trip. Also, humans have different type of body structures. Pwede ka paring mataba when you just eat plant-based diet. So you know maybe step back on da hate comments and think and research for a second. You’ll be suprise on how vegan/vegetarianism would help on whatever change you want with your life.
Relate ako dito hehe pero sa akin sanay kc ako glingbundok minsan lng nkain ng meat,, so ang transition ko nong nging meat eater ako bumaba resistensya ko sakitin ako, din muli nging vegetarian as in gulay mahirap sya simula din after that lhat na meat malansa n sa yo…. Pg nging vegetable eater ka,dapat soy or beans should be the replacement ng karne kc triple or double protien malunggay 7 times protien un lng di ka tlga tataba kasi no saturated fat .. Sila im not sure i sa oil kung aware sila,, coconut at olive oil lamg pwd na gamitin for cooking, pag ibamg cooking oil.
Im vegetarian person and im not rich na can afford magpaderma o bumili ng mga expensive cream for my body or skin, pero glossy ang skin ko at physically fit ako dhil sa gulay.but u ate parang more on carbs ang kinakain mo plus mga sweets food, oily foods,c kuya nman he looks like my lungs problem…
