What does it mean when your order is out for delivery?
“Out for delivery” refers to a package being held by a postal carrier and expected to be delivered to the recipient on their scheduled date. “Delivered” indicates that the package has already been delivered to the mile delivery office or local warehouse. Understanding the difference between “out for delivery” and “delivered” can help track down lost or delayed packages. “Last mile delivery” refers to the estimated delivery date provided by the seller based on the time it takes for the item to be shipped from the departure point to the delivery destination.

Out for delivery refers to a package reaching a shipping transit point near the recipient and being loaded on a truck towards its final destination. Typically, it arrives later that day, but may be delayed due to factors like weather, lack of access, signature issues, collect-on-delivery fees, or truck loading errors. If a first delivery attempt fails, carriers may offer the option of rescheduling another attempt or picking up the package at a local store or post office.
Connecting drivers, dispatchers, shippers, and customers for complete visibility across each stage of shipping, including when a package is ‘out for delivery’, should be an integral part of supply chain optimization strategy. This can be achieved through a platform that provides multiple views for different stakeholders, including dashboards for logistics teams, a driver app, and delivery messages for the end customer.

Early labor, which lasts 12-24 hours for a first birth, is typically shorter (8-10 hours) for other births. During this time, there are three stages: early labor, active labor, and afterbirth. The second stage, pushing, is when the baby is delivered.
Afterbirth is the point where the placenta is delivered, also known as afterbirth. The contractions become stronger during active labor, and the cervix opens up quickly. The duration of labor varies depending on the type of birth.

A very interesting insight ito the PNG weather, forecasts and the conditions you actually experience and have to deal with. The other day I flew a simulation of your trip from Goroka to Norambi with roughly simular cloud conditions . Given your experience of not trying the Norambi Gap on your approach I tried it and all went well until I got through into the valley only to find the southern slopes pretty much clear of cloud but the northern slopes were covered in low cloud and ground hugging mist! That rectangular patch of dirt just before the airstrip and the airstrip threshold were visible but that was all. Several circuits later nothing had changed, didn’t seem to much point in waiting it out at SImbari even though it was clear so it was back to Goroka without landing. So frustrating! Gave a real insight to the frustrations you must experience if a landing has to be abandonded.
The New Tribes missionaries we knew in Papua New Guinea are Bill and Kelley Housley. They have been there for years. We met them in Tennessee before they went over to PNG, while they were still in training. We were friends with Kelley’s parents. I didn’t realize you were New Tribes until this article. 😊 I just also subscribed to your second website!
This is simply getting more and more awesome. The tips you give, the scenery which is gorgeous, advices on how and when to operate the Kodiak. Could you perhaps show more details on density and/or pressure altitude and how youvprepare the flight related to performances (RWY length needed, diversion etc.) By the way i always wondered what if the engine fails in the middle of nowhere, what are your safety procedures ? Thank captain Ryan youre an inspiring pilot comited to safety. Eager to check out the next one Fly safe and happy landings ✈️👍
Info: Radio works on one frequency band and not on the other in the mountains: That’s because higher radio frequencies are blocked by any mountain in the line of sight (it goes through clouds, but not around mountains). And lower radio frequencies also follow the mountains a bit into some valleys when it’s not to deep down, not too steep down into a valley. It’s strange but that’s what it is 😉 You can transmit more data or a better audio quality over a higher radio frequency, but when it’s shielded by mountains, well, it doesn’t help 😉
First of all, you should approach IMAX so they can work with you and provide a wider audience with even better article. Look, your articles are absolutely top notch, but IMAX could do a step up and create awareness and some revenue to you and the people of PNG! Great article and congratulations on your new website. Looking forward to it! Question: How do your know the baro pressure? Thx It seems like some stressful moments and you have to be ‘always’ on your game. Kudos to your skill and bravado! Respect
I know there are pilots working in that region just trying to get their hours in to get a job with an airline. I would think flying an airliner would just be so boring after flying there with the incredible terrain and ever changing weather. Even when it’s to a place you’ve been before, it’s never the same flight twice. They were so happy to get that saw mill. I can imagine that will save them a lot of time and/or money being able to cut their own boards.
HF vs VHF: the VHF frequencies are much higher frequencies, (over 100Mhz) and propagate best in line-of-sight scenarios. HF are much lower (around 6Mhz) and are not limited in the same way. They can hug the contours of the earth much better. The down side is there are not as many websites available in the HF bands. The mountains are beautiful, but ensure you keep an HF radio handy.
Ryan, I really enjoy flying with you and try to watch all your articles. I got a private pilot license in the 1980’s and upgraded to a instrument rating shortly after. After a short time owning a C-172 and selling it, I quit flying. I know, what a waste of time and money, right? Well it’s complicated. I’ve noticed that you don’t seem to experience any turbulence which always seemed to be a issue for me. Is it because the weather in PNG is that much better than where I live in the Memphis TN area? I can recall having difficulty just changing radio and instrument settings due to the bumpiness. This doesn’t seem like a problem for you.
