For the smile tip, you can be genuinely happy by detaching the people your meeting to what you experienced earlier that day. By genuinely being positive, you’ll be a lot happier. Also by being less judge mental too. Just because someone looks weird to you, doesn’t mean that person isn’t valuable and important just because you think they aren’t.
As a female with RBF, I’ve had my fair share of elderly men approach me and tell me to smile. After reading this book, I actually started walking around with a smile regardless of how my day is going. I also have tremendous anxiety surrounding public places and what other people are thinking, so I started making a point of complimenting people I make eye contact with and it has actually helped me to gain clients at work. If I’m already smiling, they just smile back and we don’t necessarily have to interact beyond that, but complimenting them makes me feel better and less anxious and I’ve made someone else smile and saved myself from getting irritated with a stranger. It’s a win/win.
The one thing I learned and used the most throughout life is the listening part. I had noticed that unless directly asked about something specific, most people don’t care about anything you have to say about yourself, they are just waiting for a turn to talk about themselves as well, and if you’re honest with yourself you may admit that you don’t care much about what they’re saying either. If you want people to like you, let them talk and don’t interrupt, just do little follow up questions or a nod at the right time to let them know you’re listening. Absolutely everyone loves that.
Introverts should be careful with “become interested, not interesting.” As an introvert, I had a much harder time connecting with people before I started working on myself. Don’t be obnoxious about it—read the room—but have something to share, because relationships are a two-way street: giving (interesting) and receiving (interested). Otherwise you’re just a reporter, perusal and asking questions.
As a casino dealer, I can confirm that the things mentioned in this article will actually increase your tips. I was told towards the beginning of dealing poker “you should smile more, you look grumpy” by a player (a.k.a. Resting b*tch face). They were right. As I was new to dealing, I was concentrating and nervous which made me had a serious expression. Now when I approach the table to come in as the new dealer, I be sure to have a very slight smile (not a frown at least). Then when I sit down, I quickly glance for a split second at each player. If I make eye contact, I’ll give the slightest nod (almost like of recognition). If I do know their names, I will acknowledge them with a “hi John”. If someone has a cool shirt, hat, watch or luckily poker “charm” I’ll give them a “nice shirt!” nod. Last week a guy had a Motörhead shirt and I acknowledged it and then quietly sang a a line from “Ace of Spades” (one of their biggest songs). He laughed and said “great tune”. He ended up being my biggest tipper that round. People just want some sort of connection. Once they feel that, they are MUCH more generous when they have the chance to be.
Tip guys don’t everrrrr let nobody step over you nor disrespected, respect should be payed with genuine respect .Once you let someone disrespect you in anyway you devalued yourself it doesn’t mean talk shit or fight back but stand for what’s right and moved on from friends relationships strangers or even family sometimes. We are all individuals . Happy come within do what you love regardless of what it is .
Hey Clark, you’re a new face on my feed. Right before you mentioned your brand I was thinking to myself this guy should be a health coach and it turns out you are some kind of coach. Well I just want to say i appreciate your article and I love little psychological tips we can use to enhance ourselves, our lives and our relationships.
Remember: Do not compare yourself with others. If you are happy with what you have with your hardwork then you are successful…. Our habit of comparing ourselves with others will really damage ourselves ( I had gone through it and gained nothing)… Concentrate on your hobbies and work; this will simply make you “Attractive”.
One trick I have, inspired by Carnegie, is to remember people’s problems. Like if last time we talked their new job wasn’t going well, or they’d hurt their leg, I like to check up on that quickly. Not dwell on it, and not try to solve it if there’s nothing I can do, but just remembering it seems to go a long way.
Become interested, not interesting Say people’s names (“Good to see you” instead of “Nice to meet you”) Try to smile and not have RBF Put some effort into being more social Begin with praise and honest appreciation Praise the qualities you want to see grow up Honest and sincere appreciation Shed off the layers and let go of some old stories and baggage
Clark, I love how you’re comfortable shooting with only an empty background and at a close-up angle. Makes you feel authentic talking about this topic. (Just a random thought I had while perusal the article.) First time for me here in your website, but I can see you’ve been doing this for a while and putting in a lot of effort to be good at it. 🙌
Crazy… as I watched this article I realized everything I did right last weekend at the bar. I met this girl, was introduced through friends, got her name and a few minutes later I called her by her name and asked her a question about herself. Then I backed off for a little while. Then I called her by her name again and asked another question in which we found a commonality from. Then we kept talking about things with different questions. I wasn’t trying to be overly nice or flirty but I was genuinely enjoying the conversation. Towards the end of the night, I complimented her on her music type. Then, right before the bars closed, she asked me if I remembered her name. which I said “of course, its x. What’s my name?” Immediately challenging her with the same question to see if she had the same level of interest. After this, we ended up going home together. Nothing was weird, we had real conversation that night and it was genuine and natural. Girls don’t want you to try, they want you to put forth effort. there’s a difference.
All of these things aren’t something coachable, if you don’t feel them, you will lose them again as soon as you stop working hard to maintain them. You need to be satisfied with who you are, which will lead you to doing things you find satisfying. You will be interested because your life is actually interesting enough for you to not have to talk about it without being asked, and you will smile because the general baseline of your life is joy. Invest your money in a good hypnotherapist or another practicioner who helps you dissolve subconscious traumas, you’ll finally be changing the cause of your problems and not just have a dude like Clark put bandaids on top.
it’s the first self-help book I read and it changed my perspective on interacting with other people. Remembering names is still a challenge for me though. I tried to use that trick he mentions, but honestly there were cases where I’d forget by the time I want to repeat it. If its a group I’ll wait to see if someone else says their name and that helps. Great article though!
That book changed my life, I went from no one caring or remembering who I was at work to the person that people will go slightly out of their way in the morning to greet. It’s all about effort and being genuine, the principles written in that book have become habits I do on a daily basis, subconsciously. I studied the book, took notes and wrote on a journal, and I often review my notes and the book from time to time.
This was an interesting watch because I’ve always generally faked interest in people and their interests in order to be friendly and curteous to them when they have something to say, which I’ve noticed has gotten many of my coworkers and acquaintances throughout the years to like and trust me. I always thought of it as just having good manners. Anyways, my problem is that as I grow older I’ve come to genuinely dislike people and have stopped faking interest due to the fact that (in my experience) relationships with others based on lies and faked interest can lead you down paths you wouldn’t normally take which leads to time wasted on objectives which aren’t your true goals and dont reflect your values. The lesson here is: Be yourself, unapologetically. Don’t fake your life to appease others. Stop worrying. This is YOUR life, so live it how you want to.
I LOVE your articles Clark! Thank you for sharing your passion! 🤣 at “giving 1/2 expenditure of a calorie to learn your name!” I’ve found that in the same line of making someone feel important, if you’re late for a meeting with someone can also send a message that “they aren’t important”. But when you’re early or on time with a smile on your face, that shows you’re excited to be present with them and can also make them feel important and sends signals high vibrations💕😁
Although I’ve read pretty carefully and completely Dale Cargegie’s book and follow these advices, I don’t think that to be interested is enough to create really good social interactions. Active listening is important, but it’s only one side of the picture. Another part is still to be interesting. Think of the parties you’ve been to and there’s always a so called “life of the party” person. And all people are listening and having fun with them, because they are good at keeping the attention and telling jokes, stories, etc. So I think that to be an interesting person, know storytelling and leading engaging converstations, to “give” so to say is also a skill that should be learned.
Yeah, but what we all want is a relationship that gives us everything we desire. How much are we willing to give? Learning how to put someone else’s needs over our own can be difficult acted out throughout the course of a long term relationship, even if you’re in love. We only have to be attractive to the right person that sees us and then join along side them for the ride of a lifetime.
I listened to that book (audiobook) twice, and I have noticed a massive difference in how people treat me. If I had to guess, I’m a more likable person now. It’s so essential to get genuinely curious about people. I listen more than talk, and it’s made all the difference! I am thrilled to have found someone else sharing tips from the book I have been basing my interactions on for the past two months! New sub! 😊
Be interested, not interesting. Learn peoples names and call them by it, like a normal person would. Use good to see you, not just nice to meet you. Did someone last in your mind, or fade away the second your conversation ended. Smile, you creep. honest compliments go a long way. appreciate someone for the little things. these are just notes for me
Too be honest… articles like this just feel like how to be narcissist….. and socially displaced…. You can’t just watch a YouTube an and learn how to make people like you, how to get people addicted to you… it’s kinda weird…. It’s like not genuine and you just doing something that someone told you to do…. I have always had the closest friends of meeting people and then just being theirselves…
Hey man how are you? I got a question about the smiling tip, I have a condition called Moebius Syndrome, so what that means is I can’t smile or make any facial expressions. So if you have facial paralysis should you tell people what condition you have, or should you just let people get used to you. Plus if you need to tell people how should you do it without coming off as insecure?
Also one thing that maybe sounds weird, but has helped me alot in making new friends: Give People the opportunity to prove their trustworthiness, dont shy away from telling them something personal about you, when the opportunity presents itself. Most People have alot more fun talking to new People when theyre instantly treated with not only respect, but with trust (Both to a certain degree of course). And something to also keep in mind 8/10 people are perfectly fine decent Human beings, who will not let you down if you let them in.
I don’t really know why this was recommended to me, but I’ll just say this. All common sense and typical logic you’d think apply to human beings pretty much goes right out the window when you add in the fact that society is heavily brainwashed and disingenuous. You don’t really know anything about a person until after you’ve gotten to know them on a genuine level. You can’t build any meaningful relationship with people who believe in just acting a certain way they think is appealing to you when you’re face to face with them. Why? Because they’re not giving you their genuine character and ultimately don’t really give a rat’s tail about you at all, thus why they’re putting on an act. People have been so brainwashed by the media that their overall aspirations, likes, and dislikes aren’t even their own. If you don’t fit the image of what they’ve been brainwashed into becoming infatuated with, they’re never even going to give you a chance to show them who you are because they lost interest before you had a chance to do or say anything. That being the reality of the society we live in, this type of material hardly matters at all. It would only matter if you have the image and ways they’ve been brainwashed into loving. What image is that? The same image that’s practically always used to show someone who is supposedly brave, wealthy and successful, well-mannered, romantic, strong, ideal for relationships and families, peaceful, etc. You know, the same people controlling the narratives society buys into.
Still there are times when I want people to not ask me many questions within the first five minutes of meeting. I believe we still have to develop the art of asking questions or discern what to ask or what not to ask. I dislike when people ask me, “where are you originally from?” because it has nothing to do with the moment other than them being interested on letting me know that I am not from the United States, according to them. I believe the most important thing is to offer people comfort with your presence: sometimes through what you say and at times without saying anything. Anything you say or do shall enrich what the person you are connecting with is saying or doing. Avoid asking extremely personal questions. People will tell you more information when they trust you and feel comfortable and decide to tell you.
What I like about this article is he puts it in a gentle matter that we women can actually read your mind/you think you’re invisible you’re not we have already seen you what goes through our mind is who is this person and what do they want with me which I think that is almost anybody men or woman! So thank you for making this article
The problem with the “Interested” thing from Dale Carnegie is that you don’t pick up girls that way. You DO make friends. But girls are naturally hypergamous and want to be with high-value men. High-value men are usually interesting because they are busy doing amazing things. So…take the Dale Carnegie book with a big grain of salt. The tips are mediocre at best and none of them will really make you the person that people are DRAWN to. It’ll make you the kind of person that people are COMFORTABLE around.
I’m sharing this as a tip for those who find it hard to be interested in the person you’re talking to. Being interested is also learning about the person and what could you take away from their stories. Acknowledging that each person have different emotions, experiences, and circumstances makes it all the more reason why it is interesting to hear about people’s stories. Even when I talk to people who have similar experience that I had, it interests me to know about their story on how they handled it emotionally or mentally. A rare advice which I believe I have only read twice in the internet. You wanting to talk to the person is already a good enough reason. No other reasons needed, your self wanting the conversation is enough.
so interesting! What i can tell by my own experience (get complimented for it as well) is the power of keeping eye contact when it’s needed. it’s important to loosen it up from time to time (again the ‚not trying to come over creepy’ aspect) but keeping eye contact makes building a connection between two people that much easier and more real. And it also helps making the being interested part more authentic. if it’s hard for you maybe try practicing it in front of a mirror or with a person you trust (especially while talking as well). it makes someone want to open up more towards you and give you trust
All these tips are super helpful but I think it’s what’s on the inside that makes the biggest difference, as you clark says people pick up on your intentions. The signals you send off supercede remembering someone’s name or any of that stuff by a mile in the long run so perhaps you have a bit of social anxiety and feel a bit uncomfortable around others and it’s hard to apply these tips, or you have depression and even faking a smile takes effort in a social situation. The true and sustainable answer is to reprogram the mind and that starts by developing presence and learning how to expand the frequencies of the heart through special practices that are easy and make a big difference in how others respond to you since after all everything is energy and we mirror each other. Best of fortune to you
This all helps and that’s coming from someone who has experienced this recently. I like a woman I had an assessment for a job we were all going for. The second I saw her I was taken back from her smile. I’m an average looking guy, not ugly but not anything special, I’m also a lil chubby too. She’s a healthy weight, the right shape and size with the most amazing smile and clearest skin. We had to get to know each other for the first task and then feedback to the room. We had 3 minutes to memorise 5 facts. From that we went off task and ended up talking in depth about ourselves. We both got the job but I’m into her. We both got to the interview stage and I went in first as we had to go in by the numbers we were given. I waited for her after wanting to get her number and see if she got in too. When she came out she asked for my number!! We are now talking but taking it slow.
Thank you for this! It came at the perfect time! I have to have a talk today with my housemates that could go either really badly, or really well, depending bon how I negotiate things with them! This gave me some really good tips on how to negotiate with them both now and in the future so that things go well! Definitely very much appreciated!
i was pretty bad in social situations and was kinda shy and unpopular in school, but now i’ve improved myself, my buddy even said “i was probably the first one in college to be in a group of people and haveing friends”… which i can see, cuz i actually kinda talk with everyone and some friends are like “wait, who was (name) again” after i mentioned a name. i’ve learned to just not think much and just listen and talk whats going thru my mind, dont overthink, just be yourself and smile! my resting face has a slight smile, so people always view me as a happy person, which makes me actually happy
the problem is beauty nowadays become the measurement of likeness, for me having a right web neck( birth defect) is hard to apply on a job. mostly most jobs requires good physical aspect. also whenever I’m new in a work or environment people always look at me as if what’s the matter to her? some are bully too. since i was a child I’ve experienced lots of bully at school that made my confidence low🤷🏻
Not that I’m the most charming person. Far from it. But LISTENING is the key to a lot of things with people. Just LISTEN. I’m also still trying to unlearn a lot of bad tics in convos about drawing everything toward my beautiful, fabulous self. It’s difficult to unwind these subconscious biases. So LISTEN and then try to make them laugh with a silly anecdote that relates to the thing that you LISTENED to about THEM. That works a lot of the times. At times it doesn’t. But LISTENING is the #1 skill here.
My best friend, whom I loved so deeply, with all my heart and with all my soul… He recently betrayed and abandoned me… The grief is unbearable. However, I have learned this: 1. The woman who has the power to walk away, gives her soul, the space to heal… 2. She allows the man to have clarity regarding her value… 3. She is able to ponder the error/s of her ways… 4. She learns her own strength and power and femininity and divinity and magic… 5. She re-calibrates her soul, and moves back to the Creator’s default… 6. She gives God the necessary space to bless her…
I´ve heard about saying people´s names no more than 3 times and I also do it, however I would disagree that people´s names to themselves is the sweetest sound, since some don´t even like their own names. Social skills can be tough and more clips on it! Seems a lot of people over the past few years have really “lost” this skill…
generally interested in people and how they got through in life. I have resting bitch face as well but I am always in deep thought mode, I call it cop face because everyone thinks I am going to arrest them with my see through your soul stare. i do it subconciously buti cherish folks that approach me even more because i am aware that i appear that way and im a total goof ball. but yes I agree give someone a genuine complement because you don’t know what they went through right before meeting you, ease their day. but I usually have issues around large groups I shut down I cant handle small talk but I handle deep conversations rather well. and some folks well i just avoid because they think I want something from them if to polite or interested like what’s my angle, me inside my head “I really just want to know you”.
I started to watch this because I thought it would be really crap and creepy about trying to impress others in an appalling way. I was ready to say to myself, “they still do this shit in this day?” Well, it took less than a minute to realise I was wholly wrong. He says great good, lovely useful helpful stuff. Genuine and caring. Gave me good vibes. I’m just not looking for friends at the moment so have no need to put the effort in, but if and when I do, I hope I remember this stuff!
This is great and all but how bout the times when you need/want to talk about yourself or want to share something about yourself that relates to the conversation? Shouldn’t it go both ways? Shouldn’t we want to absorb and acknowledge other people’s stories and presence and also find the joy in sharing our stories and our presence?
I love this article. Granted I do all these things already, but I got the gratification of knowing these are “The Ways”….. But what made me comment……I was perusal and listening to you talk…facial expressions…everything…. You look AND sound just like Ben Affleck!!!!! Amazing. Have you ever been told this before?
Tbh as a counter point to being interested in people, I think is bullshit and trust me, I’ve been practising that for years from Dale Carnegie’s book since I read about it in 2013/2014 and all i’ve found from first hand experience is that I’m always the one interested in other people and ask the questions but people rarely if ever reciprocate the interest back and get to know anything about me. If anyone has any counter claims then please reply and help because I’m still wondering how to become someone who people are interested in.
One thing I’d like to add. It works so much better when an interesting person acts interested. This means that first one must seek to be interesting then show interest. If a person you deem uninteresting tries to show interest, you will reflexively wonder, “why is he trying to mind my business?” Replies please…?
What if you’re naturally attracted and God keeps putting you in weird situations where people expect more and sometimes they expect less so that your looks can do the talking but you realize you’re just a REAL LIFE GOKU and you can’t see people taking you for what you say or do…… Ya know? Someone once said, “You have to think before you talk” And I remember saying to myself, “that can’t apply to me” Because I can definitely hold myself in any dire situation so I want to be childish and careless but society will view me as….Gay lmao
I don’t find the being interested really works most of the time, I also notice people that I find somewhat off putting and not very nice are popular. Sometimes I see nice folks that are popular and can see why, I do not think there is a method to humans and how we socialize. So many factors go into things, some people are drawn to assholes and some people are drawn to kinder people.
I’ve been called a maneater a few times and the best advice i can give you is to smile a lot, seek for eye contact (girls – tilt your head a little down and look them in the eyes), listen to what they are saying and ask questions, if they ask about you be vague and misterious, nod when they talk and try to get as little offended as possible on things. The more easy going you act the better it is.
I am so fed up of articles telling women how to “get men interested and obsessed” when many of us are trying to STOP obsessive weird men from contacting us and harassing us and being weird and needy when we’ve told them no a million times. I’ve just searched for how to STOP men doing this to me, and all I find is hundreds of articles telling women how to be irresistible to weird and strange men who have no idea how to just leave us alone. Stop telling women that it’s good to find obsessive men who are addicted and can’t keep away from us. This is dangerous and unhealthy for any normal woman. Stop it. I have the opposite problem, trying to get thick men to just back off when I say no and just leave me alone.
Be interested Not be interesting -ask them questions DETACHMENT- POWER OF SAYING name-their name is the sweetest sound, tell their name 3time in a conversation, do not over do it smile-to make people come to u and talk BEGIN WITH COMPLEMENT AND HONEST APPRECIATION -guys gets less complement they will remember those in life, avoid criticism and give compliments instead
Interesting isn’t performing … so that’s interesting … but I’m not romantically interested… let’s keep perusal. Nobody has ever said my name with love, kindness or praise. I egging hate my name…. Interesting (I don’t belong anywhere at all 😂) Maybe it’s your mustache … ??? Objective here… but maybe it’s the flavor savor…. Maybe women think that… And you’re right. But I’m nothing because “good job” will never come … I know this already. Also after I teach a man to poach an egg he now has a skill to get other women … where is my good job!? In another woman’s bed…
the questioning of being empathetic . is a tough one . im a drug addict and tryin to change is the hardest thing to do, changing my thinking an re learning everything is soo effin hard. and im soo fricking lost,, understanding me is soo tough… an addiction is something new and i want something differnt. but changing is one of the hardest things for me,…. smiling hurts my face.. lol
I just don’t, can’t for the love of god, understand the name part. I do get what you’re trying to say, what I DON’T get is how saying someone’s name can or has an impact on them in any way whatsoever, possitive or negative, how saying someone’s name has ANY power at all. Like for me, saying my name means absolutely NOTHING, I never gave hearing my name a single thought until I saw this article. I never even stopped to think about it for a split second. I always used to think that there’s no value to a name, other than it being a label for a person you wanna call out to or point out to. This is a crazy, almost insane discovery given that I’m now 30 years old, just finding this out. All this time I’ve never known how people actually “work” and it’s extremely confusing and exhausting. My brain just does not want to accept the fact that calling somone by their name has any effect at all and just think it’s some made up madness. I wonder why am I like this, if someon’s name has such a value, why does it have none for me….
“F*ck this sh*t” – Bukowski would say if he’s still alive. “I was drawn to all the wrong things: I liked to drink, I was lazy, I didn’t have a god, politics, ideas, ideals. I was settled into nothingness; a kind of non-being, and I accepted it. I didn’t make for an interesting person. I didn’t want to be interesting, it was too hard. What I really wanted was only a soft, hazy space to live in, and to be left alone.”
Funny thing is when I hear the sentence be interested not interesting I feel like I’m masking the real me and becoming a submissive slave in a conversation. I talk a lot sure but I’ve learned if I don’t be interesting I don’t end up interested since people dry up after the “hi I’m (name) like Ive got a illness or something lol
I get all your points and anyone who understands what Dale Carnegie has to offer I can respect. What I don’t get is why ruin it by being age-ist by mentioning a 45 year old at the beginning like because of their age they automatically have nothing to offer. You will eventually be that age. Everyone will hopefully, God and universe willing, and you’ll cringe like I did when you hear these weird stereotypes. I subscribed because what you have overall is positive and helpful and I’m grateful. Just know people of all ages obviously watch your stuff and we are people even if some of us are older. Happy Thanksgiving and other holidays everyone.
As someone who pulled a girl way out of my league. As cliche as it sounds, it works. You should just be yourself and not expect anything. Also, being funny really helps. If you can make a girl constantly laugh she will think youre fun to hang out with. Same like how I met my girl. I didnt go in with the intention of dating her, i just wanted to be friends. One thing led to another and shes now my girlfriend Edit: We’re getting married next year
I think that most people forget that they have an aura. Not spiritually but the small habits and presence of yours impact your appearance in a huge way. The only add ons are healthy hygiene, dressing, exercise and self-care which makes makes a leap by +2 percentage. So if you are a 5 or 6/10 (this is an eg) the +2 makes you 7 or 8 but to really turn up the game, you need your aura to do the thing. Trust me you’ll feel happier around your aura as well
I feel like Pete Davidson isn’t exactly the best example. Dude is 6’3 or something, funny to some, great jawline, softer side (according to women) has that “don’t care rizz” and (pause) is blessed below the belt (pause again, according to women that dated him), his dad passed in 911 (sympathy card for life). And he’s a celebrity.
Honestly, I don’t usually see people talking about this topic in this way (considering the difference between what men perceive as “ideal” attractiveness versus what women percieve). Good job on hitting that point, as a woman and from talking to plenty of other women, barely any of us really see the “6 ft gigachad” as the most attractive type of man. Since attractiveness is determined by plenty more factors than just height and plain looks, it should be looked at from a standpoint that is more nuanced than a simple number scale or checking boxes off a list.
Lmao, how do people still fall for the “Pete Davidson is ugly meme”? Dude is literally a comedian, 6’3, 99th percentile jawline, famous. Show us an actually ugly guy who got success with women just by improving his clothes and going to the gym. I’ll even throw in a bone and say he can have hair and a beard.
I’m ugly and I have all these qualities In fact, I got the highest salary package in my university but my crush just used me for my skills to get a job, acted nice to me, and was interested in me at the same time maintaining a secret romantic relationship with a junior. Nothing can replace an ugly face.
Great article. Its important that at the end of the day, we need to stop caring about genetic factors beyond our control and only improve the things which we can actually control ( style, grooming, personality etc). You want a girl who is compatible to you and not a trophy girl who is just beautiful without any personality. So be the best version of yourself and the right girl will always choose you over the hot hunk who she feels no connection with!
There is two tipes of people considered ugly, 1 people with something of their face that 8s not attractive but very noticeable, uneven eyes, ginormus nose, big scars… 2 people who hasnt unlocked their potential. If you are number 1, look into plastic surgery or more aggresive alternatives and do everything you can, if you are number 2, if you consider yourself low average, you get no girls or guys or both and you feel depressed because of it, you have no idea how much can you change, research on skincare, on diet, on your face shape for a haircut, go to the gym give it all and there is no way in 1 year you are not the happiest person on earth, is up to you, trust me
If it’s of any help, from a woman’s perspective, being clean: clean clothes, not wrinkles or unkept, good hygiene, no bad bushy ugly beard with cigarettes smell and yellow on it or other stuff and a tint of perfume, but not too much goes a long way! Once a two guys who delivered furniture came, one was very chubby and the other was not, actually looking quite good, but he smelled of smoke while the cubby one smelled of shower gel, it instantly boosted him on the attraction scale. Knowing that a man is washed and clean is nr 1 on the priority list, guys.
hey, i just had a question. i’d say i fall into the average looking guy and since i’m currently in my teens, my mom’s more or less looking out for me so i can’t get much into the self-improvement gig. Talking bout myself a bit, i love basketball and chess and i’m academically good. However, i’m not too sure about my personality. my humour’s pretty good i guess, considering i’m a fan of dark and offensive humour but i’m not sure if women would find that attractive. any tips? i dont think i have a definite personality since i’m just more of an extremely frank guy
I have a frown line with 19 years. It’s just one deep vertical stripe down between my eyebrows and it makes me feel so uncomfortable because I see all the other guys around me having non of these issues. Additionally, I was gifted with bad acne but I visit a dermatologist who noticed my frown line and told me to get it away with botox. He said that it will get deeper and deeper by time and that I should get aid as soon as possible. I probably scare off all the girls with my “angry” look even though I’m chill af in this situation. The thing is that I get mad innerly, if I notice that they seem to be shocked or scared. Makes me feel like an alien. I dont even smoke or drink which could enhance this aging. Actually I have zero wrinkles except the one between my eyebrows. If I shave my goofy facial hairs off, I look like an angry baby. The point of this is, that I’m spending money on all this shit in order to be comfortable enough to get on with the next steps, developing a personality, approaching girls etc. But can you imagine spending 200 € on a botox injection every half year or so? Thats like a low budget vacation trip. Enough self-pity. I just had to get this off my mind. What do you think of young people with a deep frown line? How do they appear to you etc?
So ive never been been some gigachad but ive never had issues getting girls, in fact most times woman start flirting with me if im in a convo with them (this drives my wife nuts) Honestly i find having a good sense of humour and being moderately funny goes a long way with woman. Too funny they wont take you seriously, not funny enough they get bored theres a sweet spot every womans different. But a laugh every 3-5 minutes or so in a convo is a good sign.
As a 6ft+ (75kg) mixed Asian, with decent facial genetics, well groomed overall, nice physique, academically decent dude. I take care my fellow homies to be as attractive as possible, make them shine, even when they’re unlucky with their genetics, to help them live their dream love life. Because, I believe all good men are capable of getting bitches, they just need to be more confident and aware.
I have a dilemma.. so I really want to meet new friends, but it’s hard in the summertime. I have deleted all my social media, but I want to download Snapchat again to meet new friends. It’s good to have in mind that I deleted Snapchat because it did nothing good for my mental health. Should I download it or not? I needed this!
I was sad asf looking at some pictures of myself, assymetrical face, genetic dark circles, big forehead.(holy shit im making myself look way uglier from this description) Anyways this happens to me pretty often, i see a photo of myself and then my self-esteem is gone and you just said that they really don’t matter that much. I guess sometimes im just way to emotional
Wtf is wrong with people if you asked a doctor make me look handsome and he is the world best doctor on the planet you will be happy right will wake up because god created you i know some people wont except the next thing i will say but here it is. The fig verse 4 We created the human being in the best design that verse is from quran even if people ho are not muslim isnt that words are right?
i am a painter i makes sketches, potraits etc. i am also a topper of class and i have martlarts skills even i have more strength then every boy in my school .i am also a pro player in some sports and my looks are also below average … am i attractive……..but why still i am single .(is thatso, because i am shy type persone and i didn’t talk to girls .
Dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin enhances your looks and body. In simple terms: you need to have a sexual partner. I have noticed that people who commit fornication usually have sharp jawlines. But they unknowingly compromised their innocence for it. Now all they do is look sexually attractive and get hit on. The innocence from their face is gone. Hello there, how is everyone? 🫶🏼 I genuinely want to ask, I’m just a teenager who really wants to work on myself, i am 16 years old as in 2023 ! I don’t have good genetics and I’m neither a white nor a black i just have an Asian skin tone which is in the middle. I’m not that tall, my current height is 184 cm. I don’t have a good physique and my posture is not good Is it possible for me to get better? Or I will have to accept that I’m ugly 🙁 I don’t even have a long/narrow nose. My eyes aren’t beautiful either 🙁 Also my skin is not even as my elbows and knees are dark and I have acne and dark circles and also darker private parts.. I really hate myself..
