A Styling 101 Guide for Beginners provides a step-by-step guide on how to put together an outfit for beginners. The guide starts with a white tee and blue jeans, followed by a full black monochrome look. The first piece of advice is to think about textures, as all the pieces are the same color. Patterned pants, black skirts, neutrals, and platform boots are also recommended.
Unlocking the art of putting stylish outfits together requires understanding coordination principles, appreciation for related shapes and lines, and an eye for detail. There are numerous options to make you look like a person who plans their outfits the night before.
The guide includes a step-by-step guide, a simple formula, and examples to help you get started. The first step is to make it logical and based on what suits you specifically. The guide also includes tips on how to put outfits together, such as embracing symmetry, playing with proportions, following the 2×2 rule, wearing one hem, centering a statement piece, and elevating with jewelry.
To create a deeper and more interesting look, consider layering and taking stock of items you love and want to keep. Celebrity stylists have also provided tips on how to put outfits together, such as knowing yourself and your body, tailoring clothes, and playing with color.

this was such a helpful article!! i would love for you to do a modest version of this! in my country, we kind of have a dress code (doesnt apply to tourists/foreigners apparently) and you kind of get stares for wearing anything that shows skin (skirts, shorts, sleeveless and asymmetrical tops, etc.) i would love to see this challenging kind of criteria for you to do 🙂
This is probably the most helpful styling article I’ve watched cause I feel like others are always stuck on one small trick and this article goes into full detail of why to do it and how to do it, for multiple tricks. I used to just go on pinterest and copy an outfit, but this will help bring my personal touch to my closet without copying other outfits. Thank you so much!
Hi! I love your articles so so much and I love that you’re making this a series, I remember when you used to wear maxi skirts (at least I think) and I guess you still do…anyways I just bought two (denim) maxi skirts and I’m not sure if they’re trending or anything but I’m a little insecure when wearing them because not so many people wear them here where I live. So basically my point is that I would love to see how you wear maxi skirts or skirts I general and how you style them (maybe even how you would style them in cold weather) <3 And hello from Finland<3<3
Awesome article! Some extra style ideas: For the babydoll white dress Black belt on waist, black beret/hat for the sandwich effect Red boots and black outfit: add some thigh high black socks to just peak out of the boots, that would bring it together and look so cute! Thanks for sharing! Had a lot of fun and subbed!
AAAA OMGOSH THANKS FOR THIS BIG SIS honestly i always wanted a big sis because I’m one and sometime is tiring :’) atleast i have her the Jasmine Le anyways for this series I was thinking of a chalenge of someforme like with colours, structures to see if you get new tips. I hope its understandable BYEE
love this article, you seem so happy and confident in your outfits and in your life as well. idk what but something just makes this article chef kiss maybe the editing or your humor but really it feels good to see our big sis glowing like this after moments of doubts and vulnerability. keep up with the good work, wish you the best Jasmine :))
for those looking for a baby tee with pointed sleeves like the one jasmine was wearing, with jean has some super cute ones that r v similar!! i have one in both black and white and i wear them with everything! they’re also super thick and good quality and even when wearing a black bra w the white one it isn’t see thru at all! I 100% recommend them
what helped me so much when I was starting out was a tip from kaiti yoo; figure out your color scheme, especially when you’re on a budget. I figured out my colors are black, white, blue, green, red and lilac. those are the colors I feel the most confident in, and has saved me SO MUCH time while thrifting and shopping and it makes sure my wardrobe ties together with everything
EARLY BUT PLEASE AN IDEA FOR NEXT article OF THE SERIES. one thing that I struggle a lot with in outfits is that I find that I find SO many tank tops and t shirts but my arms ALWAYS look way too skinny, I don’t like wearing shorts or skirts either so it really limits my outfits. But also that limits me to just wear more leggings and hoodies but I see such cute outfits that I would kill to wear that includes t shirts etc. I would love if you can help me bring out the style without causing insecurities 🤍🤍
QUESTION!! thank you for your styling tips articles! but i have a bigger chest and a very short torso and short legs (im 5’1) and i struggle a lot with what clothes to wear. if i wear something baggy, i look a little bit more overweight because my boobs are bigger. but im not fully comfy wearing super tight clothes because my stomach isn’t “flat enough” to my liking 🩷 any tips please ?
hiiii love your articles!!!!! for me the hard part about dressing up and feel good is that is kinda impossible dress nice when living in a sooo fucking HOT city!!! like for real if I wear some cool jacket im gonna be passing out super wet and gross on the floor aaa ksjdskdkdk (for context i from the north of Brazil)
ive always loved your content even tho i have a more alternative emo style for me i learned my go to that flatters my body best is usually baggy tshirt tucked under high waisted skirt with thigh highs bc i love thigh highs too much lol. and the shirt/skirt combo sort of hides the parts im less confident about and makes me waist appear smaller and shirt hides my arm fats 😩 AND most importantly I love my platform creeper shoes so so much bc they make my legs look less stubby lol i love casual cute comfy personally, ofc i express myself with other things like my makeup hair septum and tattoos to add
