Father Chris, my family and I, we took care of old folks for 20 something years. It’s an “adult family home “. We consider them “our elderly family ” members. Now we are retired, being elderly ourselves. We made sure that the next person who took over are good people. It’s hard because we are not allowed to visit them due to Covid. We’re able to call and ask if everyone is ok. God is good, all the time. Love ❤️ you’ll.

Hi Fr. Chris, thank you once again for sharing your gifts; wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I would like to share my experienced also last Thursday. I went to the fish and chips take away / restaurant to buy one for our supper. Here in UK on that day was too hot. Anyway while I was waiting for my order, there was a couple came out from the restaurant then this young man approached them for a pound to buy a bottle of water. But couple said to this young man, we don’t have money! By hearing those words, I immediately check my handbag if I have money and I found £2.00. But I can’t find him anymore.Then a minute later he came out from the grocery store empty handed. And I said to him, here is the money to buy a water. He was so happy and went back to the shop to get the water. On that time I am so distracted seeing and hearing this young man begging money for water and the response from the couple. I was reminded about Jesus message. When I am thirsty, you give me drink. I then said my prayers to both of them.

To be frank, I had no clear idea about corporal and spiritual works of mercy, till I watched this article. Now I realise very well the importance of doing acts of mercy in our life and that it is not optional. We felt good when they informed us about the spouses’ usefully employed & children ‘s passing High school & college exams/career courses . Down here in New Zealand where it’s freezing at present (nothing btwn us & Antarctica), I watch all your stuff. It’s wonderful to listen to an authentic priest who is so theologically sound & loyal to the true Church. Your Saint Joseph teaching was beautiful to listen to & I learned so much! Jesus told St Catherine Emerich quite a lot about Joseph. He was quite a lot older than Mary. But the thing Jesus said which really warmed my heart was that they truly did love one another as husband & wife. They weren’t just together out of duty. Of course they were mutually abstinent & their marriage contract reflected this. Neither knew the other had already decided this before they were ordered to marry by the high priest & both were so happy when they discovered this in each other before their wedding. I will be sharing this with Christians and none Christians alike in the hope that it helps those people that take time to listen to it ( I listened to it during breakfast and cleaning the kitchen this morning) to understand and hopefully encourage them to do their bit too to help change this mixed up world of ours, preferably in the name of God. Greetings from Pensacola Father Joseph I’ve gotten behind on following – my week has been very similar as yours at the airport only mine in a different way. Just blessed I was able to hear the message here today. I would love to help pick up the slack for you and help visit Terry with letters and cards if there’s any way possible. My heart broke with sadness hearing the story of this young man and what has happened to him. If I don’t hear anything I’ll send donations instead and will pray it somehow will help Terry. I use to visit nursing homes alone and take Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas Dinners to the people that had no family and visited them on their birthday with a gift to let them know they aren’t forgotten. Tragedy struck and I stopped going and it’s been years now and it’s time I get busy again. I’ll be praying for you and I asked that you pray for me as well to give me the strength and courage to pick up where I left off. BTW that prayer of St Faustina is in the booklet “will you help Me?” A Handbook of Devotion to Divine Mercy from Divine Mercy Publications in Dublin Ireland. Hi Fr. Chris, I was in the same position couple of years ago, late flights we got on the the plane two hours before take off, sitting there for two hours then the pilot said she couldn’t fly the plane because it was past her time to fly to be fresh. I think they have to be fresh before flying the next one. We got off the plane and stayed overnight at the airport on Christmas Eve. Never fly American Airlines again.
Fr. Chris, my Mom died last year. I’ve been praying for her ever since. I read in St. Faustina’s diary, that if I prayed at the 3 o’clock hour the prayers, that Jesus will not deny anyone. So I did that for my Mom, but now I have a problem. I still pray for her, but I feel that I am NOT trusting Jesus, if I continue to pray for her even though Jesus said He would not deny that prayer. Not sure what to do.
Faustina 163: Father I say this prayer almost everyday. But I add a twist. I say one of these prayers for a month then go on to the next so in 6 months I have prayed each one for a full month. I made it into a card that I keep in my prayerbook. It is a daily reminder of how I can help our Lord here on earth. I love these prayers. Thank you for bringing up this set of prayers.

if God forgives somebody and shows them Mercy and you dont forgive that person you have issues with, then you will contradict God which is worse than not forgiving the person you have issues with. Always be prepared to forgive with Mercy and God will give you His Sanctifying Grace to get you to Heaven.
For some reason, “good deed doing” makes serving/ helping others sound like such a chore/ boring. Serving others as a lifestyle (the way my classmates and I were taught/raised, field trips, etc) really didn’t feel that bad. And it actually can have secondary health benefits (helping others does get your mind off your own misery in the process.) A common psalm response while growing up was the “whatsoever you do to the least of My people/that you do unto Me.” (Pretty much got drummed in year in and out.)
I was told by family, “you can’t just go to a jail, unless you are a Priest, Police, a lawyer, or have a really good LEGAL reason.” You just can’t go to a jail with your bible, and say” I’d like to talk to an inmate that looks like he could use a talk to a friend.” They must think I’m that worthless.
Father, this episode was articletaped a year ago, so you may not remember the story you told at the beginning about a girl who was given the wrong flight boarding information and she not only missed her flight but was left at the airport with no luggage or money or place to stay until her rescheduled flight. You were moved to mercy and gave her the $60 you had. Later in the lesson when explaining corporal works of mercy we must perform in Jesus’ name, you elaborated that the $60 was not your money, you didn’t earn it, it was our donations. AGAIN, I am grateful for that second act of mercy of yours in telling us that: the knowledge that our actions can help in areas we may never become aware of, raises us up (because we will be judged by the bad things we have said and done and may even, at death, have to watch how our bad words hurt or affected people down the line, that we weren’t even aware of) However, in my mind you DID earned that money, you and your brothers and sisters in your ministry, and you earned our love and appreciation. Economics when done right is like a circle, we give what we have to offer, and the next person what they have to offer and on and on until everyone is fed physically and spiritually, everyone is housed physically and spiritually in the House of God, the Catholic Church. Give money to the panhandler, keep a couple of gift cards to Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollar Store, Walmart, to hand to homeless, those set up at the Queensway off ramps, keep your stamped coffee cards or Booster Juice cards, this type of thing, to give to those in need, you can hand that left over lunch that you didn’t eat, that apple, that fruit cocktail, going into Kentucky Fried Chicken and see someone nearby who might enjoy a box of chicken and fries? Pick up an extra one. Keep extra gloves and mittens, scarves and hats, in your bag, to give to someone who looks cold. People think they have to give through causes and such, and they are great, but we can do directly.
Go back to school please educate us/me so we can do accordingly and smoothly help us/me educate us/me Works of love only….faith working through love….what are woks of mercy….?help someone in need hot dog for the homeless…give water to the thirsty…. Clothe the homless….comfort the sad…visit the sick….what to do to help the homeless…..those in need…visit those in prison…..
Father Chris, do you have a talk to help understand how is Jesus God? Is he the child or the father or both. Why did he yell out on the cross “Father why have you forsaken me” if he is God? I can’t seem to find understanding in this. Can you please help us understand this plz. 🙏👍 even when we say the chaplet … eg “Eternal father, I offer you…” then the 3oclock pray “You expired lord Jesus…” it’s as though it’s being said to 2 different beings.?
Yes Father. This is very correct. It is a mix of both LOVE for GOD and LOVE for neighbour the two most important commandments summing up all GODS commands and commands by LOVE for your neighbours and infact GODS LOVE is so perfect that he wants us to LOVE our neighbours who hurt us as well… BUT above all this all we have an opportunity because of GODS only SON our LORD JESUS CHRIST who being GOD came to earth only and only for us created and died and took the sins away as an ultimate sacrifice for mankind as sin takes us away from GOD which started by Adam and Eve as they and the following people moved us away from GOD more and more but along with the ones who choose only evil were good people as well like Abraham noah, Joseph, David and all the prophets and then our main saviour our LORD JESUS CHRIST who was conceived by the HOLY SPIRIT and lived in the way GOD intended from the very beginning for all humans (reason fornour existence). And then Died because of our sins and then broke death which seems to be the ultimate destiny for human as explained by the world but GODS plan for his creation was to have eternal life and not just mere 50 60 70 80 or 90 years of living as the world teaches us.

I remember yesterday father I am an ofw in Singapore I am Pinoy who working in Singapore I am just a maids here, but yesterday while Im eating i suddenly we talking about church I said no more mass because I’m going out late . But suddenly the woman setting on my table because they are customer too she said you can church to our church . Sence I am curious I just asked to her I said what church is that maybe is a born again Christian she said yess and right after I said it’s okey I am a catholic . Then she insisting it’s okey ..our church all religion can we are not forcing you she said . But sence I read also a Bible I trying to explain about catholic . Because she said she is catholic too that become baptist . I said don’t you know mass is a perfect form of prayer 🙏 she ask why I said because while the priest serving the mass Jesus Christ is there on host in chalice she laughing . Why you laught she said unlise you received Jesus as your savior ohh okey i said can I asked you something why you using those cracker biscuit to become body of god .
