Is A Parenting Class Required In Georgia?

Georgia mandates all parents to attend a Parenting Seminar in their county, which cannot be completed until both parents have successfully completed the program. A Certificate of Completion will be issued at the end of the program. Georgia Online Parenting Classes are available for those who have filed for divorce or are seeking changes in child custody or visitation order within the state. The Divorcing Parents Seminar provides parents with information on topics such as the divorce process and its impact on children. Georgia Law authorizes each judicial circuit to require litigants participating in child custody litigation to attend a parenting seminar. The online parenting class has been approved and recognized by all Georgia courts that allow distance learning. Parenting seminars are an unavoidable aspect of family law in Georgia, and are required by all parties in actions of divorce, separate maintenance, paternity, modifications of custody, or visitation. The Navigating Family Change: Parenting seminar is a four-hour education seminar required for specific domestic actions involving a child or children under 18.

  • I live near the district and my school was on the list of possible schools to be targeted. We had a hard lockdown last year and guns (by the police) were pointed at our faces, and it was really scary. We were treated the same way by the police. (I’m thankful that the cops acted in a timely manner). But I know these kids are traumatized. What happen at my school was a case of mistaken identity (a construction worker was presumed to have a weapon as our theater was being rebuilt) But it was extremely scary and a lot of us were shaking and in tears. But this was real. People died. I hope everyone recovers and they get proper help they need for everyone at the school during the event. and the families.

  • Weapons in schools, whether carried by criminals or by police, make no sense. Knowledge is the most powerful of all weapons. The military-industrial complex has reached its limits and must make way for the peace-industrial system. If only for survival, a planned, organized, and coordinated transition towards a SOLARPUNK utopia rather than a CYBERPUNK dystopia is necessary.
