I’M Sleepy, I Can’T Believe You Listened To Denim?

“Fireflies” is a song by Owl City that features lyrics that describe the world as it lights up when one falls asleep. The lyrics suggest that if ten million fireflies were to fill the air and leave teardrops everywhere, it would be difficult for one to believe their eyes. The song has been associated with dreams and nightmares, with some people experiencing vivid nightmares while listening to “The Pit” by Silver Sun Pickups on headphones.

The song also features a remix by Lexurus, which adds depth to the song. The lyrics suggest that the song may have been a dream, where the listener makes friends with them being alone. The song also touches on the idea of sleep, with some people growing more appreciative of deeper cuts in albums.

Another interesting aspect of the song is the fact that jeans have an interesting history. In this episode of the I Can’t Sleep Podcast, the listener learns about the history of jeans and how they can lead to hypnagogic states of dreaming. The song also touches on the potential for future episodes of this phenomenon.

In conclusion, “Fireflies” is a powerful song that explores themes of dreaming, dreaming, and the impact of music on one’s sleep. It also touches on the topic of jeans and their history, suggesting that it may be a common experience for males to sleep without their jeans on.

Why shouldn’t I wear a bra to bed?

Wearing a poorly fitted or wired bra can restrict circulation and cause discomfort while sleeping. Dr. Thompson advises choosing a comfortable and well-fitting bra that is not too tight or loose, and purchasing new bras when your breast size changes. Measure yourself or ask a fitter at a lingerie store for help finding the right size. Why can’t I sleep?

As you age, sleep patterns can change, with noise and changes in surroundings more likely to wake you. Your internal clock moves forward, making you tired earlier in the evening and wake up earlier in the morning. However, older people still need the same amount of sleep as younger people. Changes in physical or social activity can disrupt sleep, as is a lack of physical activity or taking a daily nap. Health issues like arthritis, back problems, depression, anxiety, and prostate or bladder problems can also disrupt sleep.

Sleep apnea and restless legs syndrome become more common with age. Older people tend to use more prescription drugs, increasing the risk of insomnia related to these medications. Sleep problems may also affect children and teens, as their internal clocks are more delayed, leading to difficulty getting to sleep or resisting regular bedtimes. Risk factors for insomnia include:

The Marconi Union track “Weightless,” which has been described as “the world’s most relaxing song,” has been demonstrated to have a beneficial effect on stress and anxiety levels. The song has been likened to sleep spindles and Lurasidone, which may assist in regulating anxiety in PTSD and improving symptoms in bipolar disorder.

Is sleeping naked healthy?

Sleeping naked may help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer, but research has not directly studied these benefits. Sleeping naked may positively impact reproductive health, partner connection, and self-esteem. Troubled sleep can be a health risk, as our bodies are regulated by our circadian rhythm, which cycles through heating and cooling patterns throughout the day. As we feel tired at the end of the day, our melatonin production increases and our core body temperature decreases, which continues throughout the night.

Is it OK to sleep in my clothes?

It is possible for garments to act as a reservoir for a variety of microorganisms, including bacteria, pollutants, and pollen. This can lead to an exacerbation of allergic symptoms and a potential increase in risk for both the wearer and those in close proximity. Even if the garments appear to be free of contamination, these substances may adhere to the fabric, thereby increasing the risk of exposure to allergens and other potentially harmful substances, and potentially causing harm.

Is 6 hours of sleep enough?

Most adults need at least seven hours of sleep per night, according to research. While some people can function on short sleep periods, most adults need at least six hours. Sleep needs vary by age group, and obtaining high-quality sleep is crucial. To improve sleep quality, consider answering three questions: Are you getting enough deep sleep?, Are you getting enough sleep for different age groups, and are you addressing any issues that may degrade your sleep?

Is 5 hours enough for sleep?

Sleep deprivation can occur due to various factors, including underlying health conditions, day-to-day disturbances, insufficient sleep syndrome (ISS), work schedules, and personal obligations. Sleep is crucial for good health, as it can lead to decreased brain performance and increased risk of serious health problems like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Scientists believe that sleeping 5 hours a day is too little and should not be maintained for long periods.

To avoid these diseases, it is recommended to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night and practice good sleep hygiene. To make appointments, contact the American Academy of Sleep Medicine or download the MyVinmec app for faster appointment scheduling and booking management.

  • I grew up in the 80s my teenage years was wild The whole eighties music scene is what made me who I am today I miss those days I miss the music I miss all my friends I had during the eighties that I don’t see anymore and some i will never see them again, their in god’s hands now just like Eddie and I’m still listening to his music 40 years later!

  • For those who experienced the 80’s there’s no words to perfectly describe this ERA. Every part of the 80’s from the music, the clothing, the hair, the Cars, the stores, everything about the 80’s was perfect. No one was in a hurry, and technology was simple and fun if that makes sense. it was just awesome. I hope when I die I can have a chance to relive my life from 1982-1989.

  • I took an extra lap around my neighborhood before pulling into my driveway just so I could hear the rest of this wonderful jam perfectly conveying exactly how I felt after a particularly stellar date with my girlfriend. I don’t know how Eddie managed to expertly capture that feeling in fewer than four minutes’ worth of rock song, but he did it so well that it still fits the feeling nearly forty years on. Severe respect to the Money Man himself. Let the younger generations find this and share that incredible feeling. May his work endure effortlessly.

  • I graduated in 1985. Besides the birth of my son in 93 High School was the best time of my life. I had 3 great friends we were always together doing something fun. It’s sad how life happens and tears you apart. We would hang out at the skating rink listening to songs just like this one and chasing the girls. I need a time machine to take me back to 1983.

  • Ooh, somethin’s got a hold on me now It’s a feelin’, burnin’ like a lover on fire Hold me tight, baby Don’t leave me by myself tonight ‘Cause I don’t think I can make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough (no, no, no) I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love It surrounds me Over me like a sea of madness It controls me Makes me do all the things I do for you You’re on my mind, babe Thinkin’ about you now And I don’t know if I’ll make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough (no, no, no) I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love Baby, how you do it There must be somethin’ to it Babe I know it’s gotta be love {Oh, with magic in your hand}? You made me understand I know, I know it’s gotta be love It’s gotta be love (Love) and my life’s lookin’ up (love) Traducir al español

  • Im 43 yrs and have always and will always play nothing but the amazing incredible mighty 80s! That’s all i play when i get up in the morning and hop into my car to go to work, i start with A-Ha – Take On Me and end with Eddie Money going back home from work! From New Wave to 80s Hair Metal rock to 80s Freestyle to Oldskool Hip-Hop to everything in between! And I will NEVER EVER get rid of my kick ass 15 Ghettoblasters with a giant suite case full but nothing but 80s music tapes !

  • Just finding out now that Eddie Money passed away last year. Man, a really great part of my life is and was that genre of music. I used to work at a place called Paramount Theater, in Springfield MA, where I saw him perform. It was a great night of music and lots of fun! One of the benefits of working there was I was able to meet and greet all the performers. He was totally awesome and this just brought me through a blast from the past! Rest In Peace Mr.”Money”… You were an amazing contribution to the power of music for me and many… 💯 #RockTheHeavens 🎸🎶🎤😎 #GoneButNotForgotten😟😘🙏💙

  • A totally random memory of this song for me: In August 2002, I was working in a grocery store in Texas and I was working the super-early opening cash office shift (5 a.m. -1:30 p.m.) I remember this song coming over the store radio early on, before the store was even open for business for the day and I just remember thinking, “Such a great song, I haven’t heard this in a long time!” Now, I just always think of that whenever I hear this song for whatever reason. RIP Eddie. Thanks for the music. It was obvious that you loved being a rocker and a performer so very much and did to your final days. Rock on.

  • Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now this is Rock and Roll- I have so much more respect FOR EM since I have listened afresh to his 82 stuff. Respect for putting this driving a band behind him. I was thinking of Clapton and yes, he is Clapton but he never played in garage sounding band that is just plain fun. Instead there is that frown. For the record my brother who was accomplished enough to be have a write up in Guitar World told my 16 year old son to try to copy Jimmy lyons and no one else! Tangier

  • Ooh, something’s got a hold on me now It’s a feeling, burnin’ like a love on fire Hold me tight, babe, don’t leave me by myself tonight ‘Cause I don’t think I can make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough (No no no) I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love It surrounds me, moving like a sea of madness It controls me, makes me do all the things I do for you On my mind, babe, thinkin’ about you now And I don’t know if I’ll make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough (No no no) I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love I think I’m in love Oh no no no I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love And I can’t get enough (No no no) I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love I think I’m in love (Baby how you do it, there must be something to it) And my life’s lookin’ up (Baby, love, it’s gotta be love) I think I’m in love (Though the magics in your hand, you make me understand) ‘Cause I can’t get enough (I know, I know, it’s gotta be love) It’s gotta be love (love) And my life’s lookin’ up (love) Songwriters CRAIG, CHARLIE/STEGALL, KEITH Published by Lyrics © EMI Music Publishing Read more: Eddie Money – I Think I’m In Love Lyrics | MetroLyrics

  • This takes me back to my high school years. Those were the days. Great music like this swirling around the airwaves that never tired me out. It just doesn’t get old. I always enjoyed Eddie Money’s music. I can listen to this timeless masterpiece on and on. This is what I call REAL music. To a great rock legend….thank you for all the fun times and music, and rest well my friend!!!!

  • Now this was a great article. Great concept, unexpected approach, great direction, competent filming, writing and acting. Such a great song. Maybe not as iconic as some, but so much better than other EM articles. Eddie’s music was so energetic and powerful – framing that energy would’ve been nice but at least the approach they went with was done well. RIP Eddie. Thanks for the music.

  • Former NYPD cop that went full bad a** and ruled the airwaves for a couple decades. Good lord, I loved growing up as a teenager in the 80’s! My kids didn’t understand it when I tried to explain it to them….but I played this and many others constantly in my truck as they were growing up. Thankfully, it made a difference because many years later, so many of those songs made it on their playlists.

  • RIP Eddie… I’m 52 yrs old now. In 2001 I won 2 tickets to see Eddie Money in concert on 97.5 WABB here in Mobile Alabama. He was playing at the Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi Ms. I’ve got to say that Eddie’s soundman had him sounding as good a listening to a CD. After the concert, Eddie came out & did a meet & greet & actually took time to talk to all us fans. When we talked to him, he thanked us for coming out & buying his merchandise. My wife bought a t-shirt of his & he signed it for us, then we took pictures…Eddie Money was a Class Act!!! My wife still has that t-shirt in her closet…that night was an ABSOLUTE AWESOME NIGHT that we’ll probably never forget. I felt like we were back in 1982 & in 7th grade that night!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.

  • WOW!! Seeing Eddie again sure brings back the memories. Back in 1988, I was working nite security at Lafayette Park hotel in Lafayette, CA. (This was in the east Bay Area of S.F.). Several times he would check in to our place. He lived not too far away, but whenever he wanted to party, he’d come to us! I recall walking down one of the hallways when I would pass him going somewhere. He was let’s say NOT feeling any pain, pretty toasted! I’d say ” hey man, wassup?” He’d just smile at me with those glassy eyes & smile. Also, one of his producers would pull up to the carport in his Porsche, run into the hotel desk & drop off a cassette tape to give to him for review (yes, I said cassette, remember this was the 80’s!). I always thought ” you imagine how much this thing would be worth on the open market?” Oh, & by the way, he NEVER trashed out the rooms he stayed at. He also brought with him some awesome babes! 👌 He had so much class!!

  • My favorite Eddie Money song..My heart always flutters with so much love and joy when he sings the last part, “Baby, how you do it…There must be something to it….Babe now it’s gotta be love..The magic’s in your hand…You made me understand…I know, I know it’s gotta be love….It’s gotta be love..(Love) and my life’s looking up (love)”… I love when he crouches down at 2:58 because I can feel the passion he has… Thinking of you Eddie and sending healing, loving energy to you and your family

  • Eddie Money posing as Ozzy Osbourne in a music article. It’s amazing what drugs will do to even Eddie Money during the 1980s cause I know he was going through an off phase when he made the album this single was featured on. Oh, well, it still makes for one of the most unintentionally amusing things I’ve ever seen.

  • I really miss this guy. He just sang some good honest, fun rock and roll. It was perfect for the time and it’s still great now. I remember seeing his name on the marquee at Sunset Station Casino in Henderson Nevada back in 1999 when I lived there. I wanted to go see him, but I was a broke single guy in town and didn’t have anyone to go with. I should have scraped up the money and gone even if it was by myself.

  • Oh, something’s got a hold of me now It’s a feeling, burnin’ up like I’m on fire Hold me tight babe, don’t leave me by myself tonight ‘Cause I don’t think I can make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love It surrounds me, ooh, like a sea of madness It controls me, makes me do all the things I do for you On my mind babe, thinkin’ about you now And I don’t know if I’ll make it through the night I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love I think I’m in love and love’s enough I think I’m in love And my life’s lookin’ up I think I’m in love ‘Cause I can’t get enough I think I’m in love It’s gotta be love Baby help me do it There must be something to it I know it’s gotta be love

  • I really enjoyed meeting him, he signed everyone’s memorabilia and shook our hands! He posed for pictures and it was awesome to see him put on the show with his family! He did a police benefit concert in Wichita KS! You could tell he was sick and it was one of his last shows! It’s amazing when I heard I want to go back at 18 in 1999 and how much that song hits in a hard way now at 41! Miss you Eddie thanks for your contribution to Rock and Roll

You made me understand I know, I know it’s gotta be love It’s gotta be love (Love) and my life’s lookin’ up (love)

  • Remembering the beautiful Mission Inn and how perfect it was to film this article there..that place was my playground for the summer, my dad had a design firm on Authors row down the way from where he filmed this. Brings back so many precious memories every time! Rest easy in Heaven Eddie..thanks for leaving us this beautiful masterpiece!! Bravo for eternity!!😍😇🥰🙌✝️🙏🏽❤☝🏽

  • Dont worry, old dogs: the young guns have you covered. I’m barely 18, but I still rock this shit like a 12-year-old “emo” girl bumps Billie Eilish; I play Eddie, Halen, and Ozzy loud and proud, just to name a few, but I love and happily bump music made by people with passion and talent, even if its brand new.

  • I saw the Money… it was a trifecta. 38 special opened, Eddie Money and then Kiss head lined… Eddie Money and his Band… destroyed 38 special (and I love 38 special) and Kiss couldn’t compete.. (it was when they stopped wearing the make up) Eddie Money live…. was like no other Band… I wish I could find some live footage from that era

  • Your emphasis on some words is just perfect for this song and you sing with such feelings, like how you emphasize “all I dream of is your eyes” it’s very breathy and almost sounds like your breath was taken away because her eyes were so beautiful and then the emphasis on this part, “and darling,” sounds like you actually singing to her, whoever her is. and how you had vibrato when you let the note hang and then say “and I think they call this *pause*…love” is just so masterfully done. Props to Elliot for writing such a beautiful song, but I feel like you sung it better especially also how you did your riffs it’s a lot more clearer, And your tone sounds so similar to Elvis. In other words, I just feel like your infliction in your tone just suits the song better.

  • I just finished perusal this and I am in awe. The song itself is amazing but the fact that the article is of Elliot singing in an old tv is such a charming artistic touch. It’s as if we the viewers are back in time perusal the birth of a new star. I loved how in the last chorus it sounded more sure and happier. If that makes sense. Elliot if you see this I know you’ll make it far. I’m excited to follow you on your journey to stardom. ❤❤❤

  • I can’t believe in this generation there are still people who make incredible music’s like this! Thank you so much Elliot James Reay! I Love your new song so so much! My grandparents love it too! They thought this song actually made from the 80s or something 😅❤️🥰I’ll be adding this to my playlist! Btw, keep it up! I know you’ll reach far more than this!

  • Finally, it’s released! 😍 This song has been stuck on my head since the first time I heard a snippet of it on TikTok. Just to share, my first impression of it was I thought it was just a song cover… and was surprised it actually isn’t! That means this song has passed the oldies-goodies vibe check for me. I love, chef’s kiss! 😍🥰

  • 📌 Sorry I’m 1 month late, but this song has been on replay since yesterday. I’ve already listened like 100 times & Idk if I’ll ever get bored of this masterpiece! Special thanks to Elliot and his team for bringing this beautiful art in a form of music . Thanks for bringing 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s vibe in this generation. It’s just so pure and beautiful. I hope future generations produce more songs like this, but sadly its hard to find this kind of songs these days. & Once again Thanks for this one❤ If you ever think of making a song like this but youre afraid people might not like it. Just go for it bro, ” you don’t even have to try, just do what you love and you’ll get what you deserve”.🌷 All the best in future! 🤗🎀💗

  • I am here everyday, listening to it hundred times, and waiting for 1million views. Sir, my grandmother would’ve loved this song. I remember her whenever I listen to old love songs. Unfortunately, she died on May 2023. I wish she had more time to listen, sing, and dance to her favorite love songs of the 40s-60s. Some of her favorite songs are… – Paper Roses – Changing Partners – Tennessee Waltz – In Despair – Went To Your Wedding – Diana – Fraulein – Send Me The Pillow – Love Letters – Born Too Late Indeed, these kind of love songs hold a timeless beauty and speak of a depth emotion. And thank you coz its like you’ve bottled up a time machine and poured it into music that takes me right back to my nanay’s era, her repetitive stories, and her love. Thank you!
