How We Carry Out Our Montessori Education?

Montessori education is a unique approach that focuses on developing a child’s natural curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning, a prepared environment, independence, observation, freedom within limits, and respect. It is rooted in the belief that children are born with innate abilities and should be treated with respect and kindness. The Montessori method is based on mixed-age classrooms and no grades or homework, with younger children having long blocks of time to learn.

The five core principles of Montessori education guide parents, teachers, and caregivers to interact respectfully, peacefully, and developmentally appropriate with children. Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator, developed this approach in the early 20th century. Activities suitable for children aged 3-5 years include blindfold activities, guided play, and guided exploration.

Montessori materials are designed for self-education, experimentation, and sensory and life-learning manipulation by children. Parents can enhance their child’s education, deepen their Montessori knowledge, and learn how to apply Montessori principles at home. To build a Montessori lifestyle, parents should explore, respect the child, follow their interests, slow down, involve them in everyday work, and give them personal hygiene.

Practical life activities, such as personal hygiene, cleaning up after meals, and taking care of belongings, are also essential. Teachers acknowledge the individual learning styles of each child while helping them develop other aspects of their personality.
