How do you show creativity in everyday life?

Creativity is crucial in everyday life as it makes life infinitely interesting and fulfilling. It is a way of living that embraces originality and makes unique connections between seemingly disparate ideas. Creativity is about living life as a journey into seeing and communicating the extra-ordinariness of the simplest, most every day acts. The root meaning of the word means “to grow”, and when we are creative, we feel as if the world and all that is in it is vibrantly alive.

Creativity’s by-products include major achievements of civilization, such as the invention of the wheel and Mozart’s sonatas. Human beings are essentially born creative, finding innovative ways to negotiate life from infancy. The most creative people find ways around obstacles because they see them not just as roadblocks but also as opportunities. Creativity expands our perceptions and brings new ways of problem solving, from making an exquisite meal to painting an extraordinary landscape when living in a freezing attic.

  • I can’t believe I sat here and literally watched ink dry, LOL but I’m so glad I did. You made this looks so easy! I can’t wait to pull out my circle stencils (I don’t have my alcohol inks with me) and recreate these fun images. Thank you so much for sharing such an easy tutorial for those of us who haven’t tapped into our inner artists….YET! 🙂

  • What a Whoot Sandy! Those birds are the seller for me! My daughter & son in law raises Parakeet and they have just gave me, the most beautiful pastel rainbow parakeet and a light blue parakeet a boy and a girl, So! I am going to do some watercolor circles in pastel colors and make them birds and send them a thank you card. Just in time, how adorable is that! Thank you so much Sandy, for sharing your amazing talent with all of us🥰❤😊❣Sending all my Love, Blessings and Tons Smiles to you and your beautiful Fur Babies🐾🐾 XOXO Vicki and Bella🐾from the State of Utah 🍯🐝 Take Care

  • Now THIS is a fun and doable project…I think! BTW, listened to that voice over & must say, I totally disagree with her. Always found it interesting that it seems only artists say “anyone can learn to draw”…or words to that effect. Sorry….I believe you’re born with artistic talent and then you develop your skills. If you were not given artistic talent, no amount of classes or tutorials will even the playing field. Sure, we can learn some tips and make blobs of paint look nice….but not truly artistic talent. Clearly, I’m of the non artsy side….but have a wish/need to create. Finding the stamping world 20 years ago was a “ta-da” moment for me that I still remember! Artists come packaged with creative genes that the rest of us were not. You proved the point when you wrote that you “just see” birdies, monsters, fish, etc in the circles, while us non-artists just see circles and need the inspiration & ideas from all the wonderful articles! So thank you for your ideas and talent….it truly is greatly appreciated.
