Georgian Early Childhood Care Trainer Training Requirements?

To become a state-approved trainer in Georgia, individuals must complete a GaPDS Account, log in, complete and submit a profile, undergo orientation, and submit a Trainer Designation Application. The process involves five steps: 1) completing a GaPDS Profile, 2) completing Orientation, 3) completing a Trainer Designation Application, 4) selecting a trainer, and 5) completing the Trainer Designation Application.

New Family Child Care Learning Home (FCCLH) providers must possess a qualifying education credential and obtain 20 hours of pre-service training before obtaining an initial license. The Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) provide guidance on what children from birth to age 5 should know and be able to do. The ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) is an Approved Sponsor Organization with the Georgia Professional Development System (Bright From the Start).

To earn your CDA Credential in Georgia for free, meet the following criteria: work in a licensed Georgia childcare facility, possess a qualifying education credential, and obtain 20 hours of pre-service training. Any individual or training organization wishing to provide training to ECE professionals for licensing credit must first become approved with a Trainer.
