It is essential to explain the reasons behind change to your kids, as they deserve to know why it is happening and will likely react better. It is impossible to say no to financial strain, but it is hard to say yes. Talk to your ex before either of you introduce a new partner and plan how and when to tell your children. Make sure your ex is aware of it is happening.

What is financial abuse parents?
Parental financial abuse is a common form of child abuse where a parent uses money as a weapon to take advantage of a minor, often through theft or using their personal information for economic gain. This can lead to damaged credit and severe debt, leaving the victim in a constant poverty struggle. Credit scores are often scrutinized by employers, landlords, and banks, making it difficult for the victim to secure loans for college, a house, or a car. Financial abuse can cause lifelong damage to a child’s future.
Financial abuse is often invisible compared to physical abuse, and children may not realize it until it is too late. Adults close to the child should be aware of red flags for financial abuse, such as having a credit report, receiving credit or bank information in their name, consistently taking the child’s money without allowing access, demanding all money given to the child to be placed in the parent’s name, or punishing the child for spending their own money.
If financial abuse is suspected, it is important to have a conversation with the parents and educate them about the consequences of their actions. Obtaining a credit report using the child’s name can help identify damage and act as proof in legal matters. Contacting lenders to cancel and create a payment plan can help prevent or stop the abuse.
What causes a child to reject a parent?
A child may reject a parent for various reasons, including parental conflict, family violence, personality factors, or poor parenting. However, when the rejection seems without justification and the other parent encourages the child to turn against the rejected parent, the child may be referred to as “alienated”. The concept of parental alienation syndrome has evolved significantly since the mid-1980s, but today, cases of a child resisting contact with a parent are generally recognized as not reflecting a syndrome.
The American Psychiatric Association rejected the concept of parental alienation syndrome in their update of the DSM-5, which is recognized across North America as the basis for diagnosing a mental disorder. However, it is generally recognized that alienating behavior can occur in families and family law proceedings, and can harm a child by undermining a parent-child relationship. Most experts agree that a child can resist contact with one parent for various reasons, and in cases where a child is resisting contact, it is necessary to assess the conduct and attitudes of both parents and understand the child’s views and experiences.
Why do children turn against their parents?
Research indicates that parents and adult children often disagree on the reasons for rifts, with children often reporting toxic behavior such as lack of empathy, disrespect for boundaries, and criticism as the reasons for cutting a parent out of their lives. For example, a client’s mother was dominating and critical, partly due to cultural expectations and respecting elders, while his brother estranged himself from their mother due to her involvement in their marriage.
What are the physical symptoms of financial stress?

Establishing conditions like financial transparency is essential to prevent enabling their bad decisions. 📹 Why men and narcissists hate child maintenance? When the abuse continues financially! |
In this video I discuss why male narcissists hate paying child support through the child maintenance service. If you are a mother …
Being broke is not a legitimate reason because women all around the world still have to figure it out, whether getting assistance or work. Most work and even if you get assistance, here in my state, the person getting assistance has to go to a training program to put them in a position to get a career within a certain timeframe. PLEASE STOP HAVING KIDS WITH THESE MEN! You run the risk of getting a man with a Bugsy type of mindset and it’s NOT just the “dusty’s”.
A man who refuses to support his children financially is in no way a good father or a good person. These men see the children as leverage over the mother. Once the man loses access to the mother they have no further use for the children. My father made it clear that he had resigned in big and small ways. The first summer after he left he returned to our home and dismantled our swimming pool and took it away to his new place. He didn’t do it in secret. He took the pool apart while we watched through the back window. My father also cut us off of his health insurance after he finally left. My mom didn’t find out about this until my sibling was hospitalized. This final “fuck you kids” was particularly hurtful because one of my siblings had a hereditary illness that could have killed them. My sibling was in pediatric intensive care for 10 days that time. They were hospitalized for a total of 32 days. The bill was over 70k. To the men, I can only say that the children will eventually know what you did and see you for who you are.
Bugsy has no idea that they had this in court because he was married to that woman. During divorce proceedings you will have your lawyers draw up a contract with the separation of assets as well as continuance of care for children and former spouses. If Tyrese signed an order of child support and then proceeded to not follow up on the contract dates of payment, you are now in violation of contracts which makes you subject and liable for prosecution. If you marry a rich man and he gives you and the child you birthed and made during marriage a rich lifestyle, why should the child have to experience a layer of poverty because the mother and father decided to break up? Men hate child support because it requires you to maintain your child and the expenses you created for your child to have
Marriage has absolutely nothing to do with morals. It was never about morals. NEVER. Marriage was always about building and maintaining wealth. For “love” is modern. Even religious, there is no Marriage in King James Version. Now I know there are many other bibles, but people reference Christianity. Biblically men and women were considered married living together. There are so many married men being terrible fathers and husband. I know so many unhappy married women with kids . Furthermore, a man that doesn’t take care of his child is his core character and Marriage wouldn’t change that.
Building a well isn’t a legacy. Africa is a huge continent. What country did this take place? The village? Because Africa is so advanced. It’s so funny Africa is always the go to when it comes to helping. A legacy would be leaving money, land, house( without debt). Notice he said kids are needed for WORK force. Ah yes to keep Captialism alive. Imagine telling your kids you had them so they can sign up to passing away at a cubicle and being there 4 days and nobody Notice or the fact that your labour will be taxed then when you spend that money, you pay more taxes via goods and services. You can’t leave them millions in a trust but can draw the map of the well you help build.
Jail time is last resort. The man or woman becomes contempt of court, for failure to pay what was ordered. The parent must reach a certain amount in arrears before that process even begins, and that depends on state. A parent can’t be too concerned about their drivers license and job, because they aren’t paying child support. So who cares if they get locked up ? They arent paying their child support anyhow. So being locked up isnt preventing them for paying, it’s the consequence of not paying. Child support can be paid through a trust but that one guy was rambling nonsense. A county is a part of the state. Just complete nonsense and rambling.
Welcome back! I love your content!! We’re pretty much living the same life! I only receive child maintenance only because I was fortunate enough to snag his proof of his income for the courts BEFORE I left him. He does absolutely nothing outside of that. He left his job temporarily for over 6 months (with no explanation) clearly to spite me but it backfired. He got so bogged down in arrears and is now “drowning”. Continue to keep us informed! 🙏🏽❤️
The narc’s parents gave him money even into adulthood to fix his screw ups and just because and he in turn equates spending money with love and parenting. He thinks that if he buys them a few toys a few times a year and takes them out to eat a few times a year that’s parenting. He pays child support when he feels like it. I too agreed to less only for him to not pay regularly. I know what it is to struggle. This year I’m manifesting a way out into financial independence.
Everything you said in this article has happened to me with my son’s father with court and child support. But some advice when we lower the child support is bcuz we still love them and that’s where we go wrong, real man won’t fight to support their own child. Just like us moms support the child the father should too. And fyi when u see the father behave this way in court from the start, it’s going to be 18 long years of this behavior, so if you can choose the father wisely.
No contact with your kids no money. That’s a realist not a Narcist. The days of the bread winner are over. Femanists killed it. Yet when you separate you must become bread winner? Makes zero sense. Can’t pick an choose when to be treated equal. You are or you aren’t. Why do you get the best of both worlds?
