📹 Practical Magic Home Decor Style: How to Get This Cozy Witch Aesthetic in Your Apartment
Ah, the Practical Magic home… I know I’m not the only girly who has fantasized about what daily life would be like living in that …
Love the way to decorated your home. You’ve found the perfect furniture to fit in every space. They way your desk fits perfectly in your bedroom knook, makes it look as if it was designed just for you. Everything looks so clean and cozy. I wish i had that kind of talent. Just moved into a smaller apartment and i have no idea what to do with it.
Your place looks great… I’ve designed hundreds of homes, most of which hiding TV cables in the wall is not an option… Most people use a cover and run it down the wall in the middle of the TV, like you did…. That’s fine but try running the cable along the bottom of the TV to the side with the vase of leaves and then using the same cover go down the wall behind the leaves… Now the “covered” cables virtually disappear… It may sound insignificant but in less than 5 minutes it makes a difference you’ll really like… Again, great place, take care.

Wow, you are really skilled at maximizing storage space in small apartments and finding ways to fit furniture in a way that makes them look custom and pretty. I’m so inspired. Also I love how you mention places to get affordable things like Homesense, Temu, Ikea, the dollar store, etc. These are places I can actually shop at!
Love the apt! I live in 600 sq ft .. love the touches you’ve done to an already beautiful apt I do a lot of diy and see a few places that you might be able to tweak You can add wall sconces w/ batteries for lights for ur living room .. also could add panels to side of island to hide storage possible stain top of island to match the wood tones or just with peel n stick for a change xo
Nice. If you want instant PM then actually cook and do some crafts like painting and candle making. Your place will soon fill with the right objects. I think where people go wrong is when they just display jars etc that are clearly not used. The PM house was a witches house and they made potions and cooked and grew plants. That’s why they had all that stuff.
I inherited a few lamps with dusty plain boring beige shades. I bought a few second hand childrens dresses in gothic hued lace and satin and am currently using the fabric to renovate the shades. Left over scraps can be made into a throw pillow cover, but I will probably make crazy quilt placemats for my cats and dog feeding stations.
I already decorated my condo with Mission style furniture (dining room table and chairs, leather recliner, table and floor lamps, bedroom set), plus vintage style antiques that I either bought overseas (rugs, brass statues and trays, etc.) or at antique stores (old steamer trunk as coffee table, old books, antique fan and radio, vintage globes), and a few fake plants (sorry! I can’t keep them alive and I travel a bit). So right now, I guess my condo is a bit of Boho meets Light Academia meets Mission. I’d like to add a little of the Practical Magic flair year round – not just my seasonal Halloween decor. Can’t wait to watch the movie again, get immersed in the vibe, and get some inspiration that’ll work in my space! Separately, your cat is adorable, and I love her little cameos in the article. 😻
