Street Style Dice Shooting Techniques?

Street dice, also known as street craps, is a classic gambling game where one player rolls a pair of dice and other players place bets on the outcome. The game begins with the shooter’s come-out roll, aiming for a 7 or 11 (pass) or avoiding 2, 3, or 12 (crap out). If a point (4-10) is rolled, the shooter continues rolling until they hit the point again for a win or roll a 7 (seven-out), ending the game. Players bet on these outcomes throughout the game.

To “crap”, the shooter has to roll a 2, 3, or 12 on the initial roll. The other players must match the shooter’s wager and choose between “pass” or “crap”. This beginner’s guide demystifies the rules and strategies of street craps, teaching you everything you need to know to play with.

In Street Craps, the first rule is that ALL players each roll the dice first, before any action takes place. This is to determine who will be the highest-scoring player. The game is played on a flat surface, such as a sidewalk or driveway, and involves a group of players deciding on the stakes. The shooter rolls the dice, which results in the “come-out roll”.

In addition to shooting dice, other games like Mexican drinking dice, Farkle, and other simple games require a few rules and a few dice in a cup. Learning how to shoot dice on the street can increase your chances of winning in dice games.

What dice game is played in the streets?

Craps is a dice game where players bet on the outcomes of a pair of dice rolls. It can be played in informal settings, with players using slang terminology to place bets and actions. In 1788, “Krabs” was an English variation on the dice game hazard. Craps developed in the United States from a simplification of the western European game of hazard, which may date back to the Crusades. Hazard was brought from London to New Orleans in approximately 1805 by Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville, a young gambler and scion of a wealthy landowners family in colonial Louisiana.

De Marigny simplified the game to always have the main number seven, which was the mathematically optimal choice. This novelty was unfamiliar to and rejected by Americans of his social class, leading de Marigny to introduce it to the local underclass. Field hands taught the game to friends and deckhands, who carried it up the Mississippi River and its tributaries.
