The Red Cliff Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a licensed group child care facility located in the heart of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa reservation in northern Wisconsin. The center offers Head Start (HS) and Early Head Start (EHS) services through center-based and home-based program options. The ECC has three programs, including Head Start-Home Based, Early Head Start-Center Based, and Head Start-Center Based learning.
Lori Duffy, or Lori, manages the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and is the head cook at the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Early Childhood Center. The center provides services for children and their families through various program offerings, including Early Head Start-Home Based, Early Head Start-Center Based, and Head Start-Center Based learning.
In Fall 2024, the Red Cliff Early Childhood Center (ECC) will launch a bug/insect unit, learning about different bugs and zoo animals. The Red Cliff Child Support Services Agency became an official Child Support Agency on July 1, 2014, after approval of their comprehensive plan from the Federal government.
The Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians retains rights under various treaties signed with the United States in 1836, 1837, 1842, and 1854. Employees at the center include Kim Gordon, Child Care Director, and Jenny. The center’s policy council meeting minutes provide information on utilities and landlords reporting to the center.
