  • I was in this fashion show on the morning of 9/11!!! I was the one with the blue dress in the beginning, the 1 with the Nike orange red top with black shorts and the one with the 2 piece pink pieces shaking and baking! I was almost 9 months pregnant with my daughter! It was supposed to be one of the most AMAZING DAYS OF MY LIFE! A wonderful experience when pregnancy and fashion was booming! It turned out to be one of the most horrific times in my life! Times magazine and other magazines stopped taking pics as soon as they learned about the twin towers! Other pregnant models and I walked through the streets in disbelief! I was trying to get home! My father had dropped me off that morning around 6:30am. My son didn’t start pre K that morning because I wanted him to be a part of my pregnancy journey that morning. My father and son were on their way back to Brooklyn when they saw the hit of the twin towers after they returned to Brooklyn. From Brooklyn heights they saw the twin towers crumble into shambles as soon as they were hit! My son was traumatized for years after that. He thought I had died! I didn’t get home til after midnight that night! There was no transportation to Brooklyn after my long walk to get home to Brooklyn! I was so worried and concerned! I didn’t know if my father and son made it through the twin towers to Brooklyn! There was no communication to the outside world! I was able to contact my baby sister for a few seconds but that was it! Imagine I was almost 9 months pregnant in the streets with no communication and no way to get home to Brooklyn!
