Middle children, according to Birth Order Theory, are in a position that maximizes competitiveness with their siblings. They are neither the oldest nor the youngest, so they may feel stressed and insignificance, leading to feelings of jealousy and neglect. Middle child syndrome is a hypothetical condition that alleges middle children feel overlooked and jealous of their siblings. This theory suggests that second-born children have different personality traits due to less attention from parents.
To help middle children feel self-confident and equally loved, parents can spend time alone with them, read to them, or set aside time for reading. Middle children may also develop resentment and bitterness, but experts argue that it’s more complicated than attributing behavior to birth order.
Middle children may feel neglected, leading to distinct personality traits. To help them shine, parents can recognize signs of neglect and cope with the situation. Birth order may only subtly affect psychological outcomes, as the combination of less parental responsiveness and the “identity crisis” of not having a specific role in the family can make middle children feel less valued.
Middle children may be self-reliant and struggle to ask for help and support from others due to feeling overlooked by family members. Middle-child syndrome is a psychological phenomenon characterised by feelings of neglect and perceived unfairness compared to siblings.

Is the middle child the least favorite child?
The majority of Americans, particularly the youngest children, report being their parents’ favorite, with 38% of them reporting this, especially boys. Middle children are less likely to believe they were a favorite, with only 20% believing they were. Men who were the youngest also report being the family favorite, while women who were middle children are less likely to believe they were.
Parental favoritism can have lasting negative effects on relationships, personal self-esteem, and social connections. Americans who grew up in families with a favorite child were less close to their siblings than those who did not. Only 30% of those who believed their parents had a favorite child felt very close to their siblings.
Moreover, Americans are more likely to report having a positive relationship with their parents when they did not perceive them as having a preferred child. Over two-thirds of Americans who say their parents did not have a favorite child report being very or completely satisfied with their relationship, while less than half of those who believe their parents had a favorite report being satisfied. Even those who believe they were the favorite do not report having as close a relationship with their parents as those who do not have a favorite child.

Why do parents neglect the middle child?
A recent study has found that middle-child syndrome, a term used to describe the experience of being the middle-born child in a family, can be significantly impacted by a child’s position in the family structure. The study found that parents tend to give less attention to middle children, which can lead to certain psychological issues. The idea of birth order can consistently affect a child’s development, regardless of gender. Additionally, birth order can shape certain personality traits in children, suggesting that birth order should be considered when considering a child’s personality and behavior.
Middle-child syndrome is the experience of being the middle-born child in a family, and studies have found that middle-born people may develop personality traits that can lead to child adjustment problems. Further research is needed to understand the effects of birth order and the potential causes of middle-child syndrome.
Is the middle child unloved?
Birth order plays a significant role in the development of middle-child syndrome, where middle-born children often feel left out and underappreciated compared to their younger siblings. This syndrome can significantly impact an individual’s self-esteem and identity. The effects of birth order are complex and vary among individuals. Middle-born children may exhibit various traits, such as being the peacemaker or feeling like an outsider. Understanding the role of birth order and middle-child syndrome requires considering the unique dynamics of the family unit.
Firstborn children often receive more attention and praise, while younger children may receive more leniency and protection. Parents must be aware of these potential issues and ensure each child receives the necessary attention and love.
Are middle children depressed?
A study found that middle children were more likely to develop depression in 2003, but a 2016 follow-up found that oldest children were more likely to develop mental illnesses like depression. Later-born children, not necessarily middle-born, were at increased risk of suicide attempts and psychiatric disorders in adolescence. The term “middle children” can refer to children not the oldest or youngest in the family, which could impact development and personality.
Which sibling has the most trauma?
Younger siblings are particularly susceptible to trauma due to their developmental stage and the need for emotional support. They may feel left behind or unprepared to handle their emotions, leading to feelings of neglect or internalization. Parents and caregivers must ensure that each sibling can cope with trauma and process their feelings. This can be challenging as each family member must deal with their own trauma and care for the child’s needs.
Without special attention, sibling relationships and mental health can be seriously damaged. Parents should help siblings develop healthy relationships and learn to rely on each other for emotional support and companionship. If siblings appear estranged or argue more than usual, family therapy may be beneficial to resolve these issues. Siblings have complex connections, and emotional stress can strain their relationships.
Which sibling has it the hardest?
A study by MIT’s Joseph Doyle surveyed thousands of families in Florida and Denmark, finding that second-born children, particularly sons, are the most troublesome in both families and society. The study found that second-born sons were 20-40% more likely to have behavioral issues in school, require discipline, and eventually end up in the criminal justice system. This may explain the fascination with bad boys in middle and high school books.

Do parents treat middle child differently?
Birth order theory suggests that a person’s personality is influenced by their birth sequence and parenting style. Middle child syndrome refers to the different experiences middle children may have in their childhood. Despite distinct circumstances, middle children exhibit similar behavioral patterns. These traits are influenced by the relationships between the middle child and family, including siblings and parents. Middle children’s personality traits include secretiveness, mediation, diplomacy, independence, loyalty, socialness, accountability, compromise, adaptability, and flexibility.
Why is the middle child treated the worst?
The stereotype of the middle child being overlooked by parents due to the oldest being the trailblazer and the youngest receiving attention is a myth that could lead to the middle child feeling outcast or lacking attention. This theory suggests that the middle child may develop a rebellious, attention-seeking nature. The entertainment industry has perpetuated these stereotypes, some of which are untrue or exaggerated symptoms of middle child syndrome.
What is the cause of middle child syndrome?
Middle child syndrome is believed to be caused by a birth order where children born in the middle develop different personality traits due to less developmental support from their primary caregivers. This can result in less involvement, reduced one-on-one interaction, and increased sibling overshadowing, which can lessen parental attachment. Middle children often feel unseen by both parents due to the focus on their siblings, leading to a lack of personal growth and development. This syndrome can be attributed to the presence of trailblazing older siblings and a younger sibling with growing developmental needs.

Being a middle child is so painful. I was ignored all my life. I remember when my parents bought my two brothers bicycles and forgot about me. 😑 literally went out and bought two bikes and never considered i wanted one or even existed. Now im older, married with 2 kids (the most responsible of my siblings) and they wonder why i never call or visit.
Middle child here. We get blamed for everything the older and younger do wrong In my experience. Couple that with being in a near decade long trauma bond with the exwife, i have become angry and broken. When asked why i act the way i do, they dont want to accept the reasons and say im heartless for not forgiving the wrong doings of my parents and siblings my entire life. Other Middle children i have spoken to have similar problems. Parents. Do. Not. Do. This. To. Your. Middle. Child. You will fuck them up for life. No matter how hard we try to be good people, its never good enough. Break the cycle.
Me being a middle child, it was worse when I was younger. I’ve always been emotionally neglected while growing up and what I can’t understand is why middle child receives less complements than the two sibs even thought I didn’t do anything wrong but this made me feel like there’s something wrong with me. I suffered so much when family gathers they mostly only notice the first and last born children. And I can see how my parents’ eyes light up whenever they talk about my two sibs and when it comes to me, they are not like that. Also, I can see how they support more my two sibs esp. mentally and emotionally aspects.
As a middle child there are definitely times when I feel excluded. I was not neglected but I could definitely feel the difference in treatment. Whenever my older and younger siblings did something good, my mother would notice and treat them well and even praise them. But when I did do something, its always left unrecognized, I have no memory of being praised. All I can remember is being nitpicked for the things I lacked and the smallest mistakes I’ve done, even though some of those wasn’t even my fault. They would get angry and nag me when I try to explain that its was my other siblings doing. I can’t even voice out my thoughts because they would immediately get angry at me for being “disrespectful”. I can’t help but feel like I’m a person to vent their anger on. I also feel like I can only be seen when they have chores needed to be done, but my efforts are never enough. I still remember when I did the chores around the house while my siblings are playing with their phones/doing their own thing however when my parents talked to a relative, they praised my siblings but stated that I don’t even do anything at home- like wtf… I have to sit there listening to them while smiling awkwardly… Its so unfair. Like, my older sister and younger brother had their phones given to them by our parents. While in my case, I had to save my own money to be able to buy my phone. There are so much more instances I can point out that its just sad. One would wonder if they are even a real child of their family.
Being a middle child i always felt unloved.. I remember getting beaten up the most .. my mom not talking to me for months.. I would always have to do extra to get attention.. save money to buy my parents gifts so that they be happy and love me … now im older i have nightmares of my mom abandoning me and loving my younger and elder sister.. i feel like if I don’t do stuffs for them they would stop loving me .. im never going to get my kids go through such trauma… my mom do realise this but the trauma is there and never going to go away… i love you mom the most…
Being the middle child of two special needs siblings meant my mom relied on me to be a part time carer to my sisters. This has totally impacted my life and personality. I refuse to have children and was surgically sterilized two years ago. I love my sisters but I wouldn’t wish their disability or my childhood on anyone
I remember one day I got lost in the mall when I was under 10 years of age. My mother was only holding my baby sisters hand and not mine. There was alot of people traffic. I was neglected and mom didn’t come looking for me. Thank you to random elderly lady who stopped and crouched to my height to ask me if I needed any help. My guardian angel.
My cousin is also middle child she dont talk too much she is 7 and i can feel that she feel leftout like me…….she is so sensitive like me but i changed myself…..whenever i go to her place she plays with me …she is such a charming girl but others need to understand that…..and tbh the most smallest scar hurts us the most but we store them in our heart and cant forget that sometime we feel like our heart is going to burst at anytime….idk it feel sufocating, like a big lump in throat..it feel terible
I’m a middle child and I was never neglected (because my parents are good parents) or forgotten but one thing I hated is that I’m the only girl, and my older brother was super protective of my younger brother, they had a close bond because their birthdays were a few days apart, they shared a room together and they loved the same stuff so I was left out a lot. Now that I’m older, I realize that it made me more independent because I’m able to have fun on my own and not rely on other people for everything.
Me and my twin sister are the middle kids. I learned very soon that i was never going to be my family’s priority, same with my sister. We basically raised ourselves thru teenhood, was ignored when my mental health declined, my sister tried to k*ll herself and my parents were oblivious to all of this. We became the ones we could rely on. My parents realised what they have done when i turned 18 and had a nervous breakdown, they put me in therapy and i was diagnosed my autism very late… yeah, being the middle kid is no joke.
I am also a middle child and I’ve always been neglected by my parents. And when I become furious because of this and backchat with my parents that why they always blame me. They always say that I am heartless, I never care about them,I am a burden on them, I should suicide, and they wish I was never born. They say this all thing to me. I have suicidal thoughts since 11 or 12.
being middle child, I won’t lie if I said I felt that I don’t belong in my family and seeing so happy with older and younger while I was felt so cast out, often misunderstood and always last pick in the family for anything, if others are done at something important and I wasn’t around they will just forget about me. at least when I was young, now as grown up I am asked to always be around, something wrong happen I have to have the answer and I usually do, the respect and pride looks in my parents eyes to me especially Father’s it worth everything just be you my middle child friend…you gonna be great at the future even you are a forgotten someone in your family right now ❤
It’s somehow comforting for me to know there are a lot others who go through and feels the same as I do (tho the experience itself sucks). In my case, i tried to make my place in the family by studying really hard and being a good kid. I guess that’s because I don’t receive anything unless I work hard for it. It was manageable until I see my siblings slacking off and being a pain in the ass but still get what they want nevertheless, even more than I could ever get. It was a roller coaster ride for me: i thought i was fine until i discovered how badly it affected my self-esteem, gave me trust issues and all that baggage, but I managed through all that because of my independence-which we can all agree is the blessing that comes with having MCS. Now I’m in a much better place, though its a work in progress. To those who are still suffering right now, things will get better. You’re a lot more capable than you think you are, don’t let them bring you down. Call me cheesy but I think some of us need that pep talk. Cheers to us middle children! Let’s be great individuals and achieve what we were deprived of!
I am a Middle Child and I have that syndrome. I grew up feeling unneeded and unloved. I still feel this way. I became a people pleaser. I have issues with connecting with people and forming long lasting relationships. Low self esteem, overeating issue, pretending to be happy and cheerful all the time.
Middle child here. All my life i’ve been excluded from my family. While my two other siblings get what they want i rarely get it. My parents think i don’t need anything and that my siblings need is more important than mine. It’s not always that worse before, cause my dad would cheer me up and later buy me something and make sure that i feel loved. But now it’s been 3 years since he passed away. It got worse than ever. My mom just make sure than i’m not needed in the family that my life is not as important as my other siblings. She says that ‘i have it easy in my days’ which is not true, growing up and your parents rarely present in your life definitely not easy. Cause even tho i do feel the love from my dad but he’s just too busy with his work. So as a child i hardly meet him. But when i do meet him, he always sweet to me. So no, life is not easy for me. I can’t focus on schooll and my grades are failing and i don’t have anyone at home to teach me. But thank god, in middle school i got to know the internet so i teach myself on the internet. And my grades are great. Basically, i survive by myself. So the fact that my mom, wants me to give everything to my other siblings saying i have it easy is really unforgivable. She literally knows nothing about me. About the hardship i’ve been through my favorite food and all. Cause it’s always about my siblings. One time she try to talk to me. She wants me to say what makes me so different. That i’m not obeying her anymore (lol after what she did to me?
I love the fact that I am a middle child. I figured out how to stay hidden and keep my emotions invisible to others. But the worst is how we are treated. For example a while ago I had asked if I could have a 10 dollar thing from Amazon for my birthday. I was told no. But a week later my sister comes home with a $200 Lego set for herself and a $100 Lego set for my younger sister. And guess were she got the money. My mom. But what I thought was the worst is that the other day I was perusal YouTube and my mom accused me of stealing $20 out of her cabinet. When I asked her if she checked my sisters wallet since she went out the other night and my mom gave her money to pay. My sister never gave it back. But my mom accused me. I wasn’t even near my sister for the whole time. It was after these stories I realized that life wasn’t gonna be fair. I was gonna be the one left out. So you have to hold on to your friends to keep you up. Stay with your family but remember life won’t be fair, so you have to deal with being the middle child. And hide your emotions other wise you will be called a faker or a liar or even a spoiled one. Because they forget about the good stuff but remember the bad stuff.
I am having a middle child syndrome right when I am commenting. It’s painful to be ignored like you don’t exist, even when my older bro and younger sis gets to go on a trip I was the only one who was left out, but I can’t take that for much longer that my brain keeps thinking and telling me to run away, I don’t know what to do I am freaking out.
#Middle #Child #Journey Being a middle child is very painful Everyone in the family not understand their feelings, and when you go out for work in some other places the gap is increase and your siblings feeling also change they think they are the only two child, everything changed But only one thing is good with middle child- they learn to grow independently, they need no one to grow, because they learn to fight with these things from their childhood. 😊
I’m currently a middle child, I’m 13 and my older brother got me to stay up until 2 am playing article games, I get woken up at 1 am by my mom saying “maybe you shouldn’t stay up so late” and yelling at me that I shouldn’t have done that when she knows my older brother was as well and I was talking to him, she wakes him up and says “good morning!” We are told to go to bed at the same time, 11:00..
i am a middle child and all i can tell, all of that is true. most of our parents dont love us equally, but hey,…at least we live on our own. i learn to become more independent by myself more than my family. i love my family but they put me in a lot of stress, it’s okay if they want to treat me like im the lesser loved, the unloved, im okay with all that. my own brother used to call me a parasite as im offering nothing good to my family but nah, im okay with all that i never care anymore. my father treat me a anger reliever cuz im not good at helping him at any works…so all he do is yelling at me cuz im too clumsy. im okay with all that but when i want to get out from my house, to start a new life on my own, becomes a better version of myself all of my family forbid me, i dont know why.. i am a parasite, i am good for nothing middle child so let me go, the harsh part for me, they wont let me go, i want to go out so bad. at some point i know, im going to get out from my house real soon and find myself a better place
Actually I think it affected me when I was a teenager (11-14) i was confused they used to tell me you’re not kid anymore stop being silly but when I tried to act older they just ignored me and that’s when I started losing my confidence thinking I’m not good enough now I’m trying not to blam them they are humans too not angels and I understand that ppl can’t control whom they love and how much they love even parents and I try to keep thinking about great things they did to me when ever bad memories cross my head
The only sadness in my life as a middle child is that…… I grew up alone in a family of 6. When i was a child my older siblings were in their teen years and my younger one was just born. My parents were always stuck with them, taking care of them. I went to school alone, fed myself alone. Even today my younger sister is 17 and my almost middle aged older sister moved out from our area….. My mother always calls them and ask why dont they come home early or if they are okay outside. Meanwhile i can go out and not come back in hours but still no one calls me. I call them to tell that i am far and they are like “okay” . On positive side i have this freedom but sometimes it feels weird. My mother love my only brother. The golden middle child. I am just the child of my family 🥱 but its ok.i understand why my other siblings are important than me.i live with this. Nowadays too much love and care creeps me out 👀
My younger sister and I are 2 and 3 out of four kids. We were both gaslighted by our mother and older half sister most of our lives until we cut them off. They even twisted my words and tried to use them against me. I did not know what they were doing to us was abuse until a year and a half ago. As a child my accomplishments didn’t mean anything. Honor Roll, National Honors Society, Internships, Traveling to 3 countries over seas before graduating high school and making a graphic design portfolio. I didnt even cause any issues in the house. The oldest was the rebellious one. Regardless of the fact that after I moved 1200 miles away and still made gourmet cookies and sent them to everyone every year for 4 years and it wasn’t good enough. I even sent Christmas and Birthday gifts up there and they were not cheap. They just felt like they were entitled to it every year and still lied and gaslighted me. I dried all that sh*t up. It’s been 2 years and they are still waiting on gifts and cookies. I’m not sending those greedy bastards nothing! And when I visit the city they live in every year, I skip right over them and visit everyone else. It may seem mean, but I do not associate with manipulators or abusers.
I always seeked out justice in the family when i was a child. Because my older brother, who is the most perfected human being to walk on earth, as well as my little sister who is the golden ingot, in the eyes of my parents, always came first. They have always been, and still is my parents first prioity. I eventuelly come second if they remember my existence. My siblings was always allowed to follow their dreams and was supported so. They were also always allowed to have friends over. You can guess for yourself who did not. This resulted in me having a very VERY little circle of friends, and i gave up on trying anything big. Or even remotely ambitious. Why should i even bother, when my parents always are ready on a moments notice to kiss the feet of my siblings, just because of their existence?
I am the youngest child (there is only me and my big sis) I would say my situation is a mix between youngest child and middle child. I always get a lot of presents and my parents are overprotective with me (especially because I have a lot of mental issues since my birth). But when it comes to real love, I don’t get any. I always get criticized, they don’t trust me with anything, when I show that I disagree my mother starts to confront me and say I am spoiled (well, I would rather have appreciation than toys you know ?), they don’t really care when I make progress or efforts into something and they always wants to know how my sister day was but never how mine was or even how I feel. When I was little, my big sister got sick and immediately, my parents made her stay home instead of going to school. A few days after her, I got sick too. I told my parents and they said I was acting and lying and they send me to school anyway. On the other hand, they give me a lot of toys and games and thinks it’s enough to show their love and for me to be grateful. …
At first it was me and and my sister so basically i was the youngest until we had out brother who was now the youngest wich left me to be the middle child at first it was alright and boy oh boy i started to be a slave in my family i literally do all the chores beside simple thing i get blame for everything, if i ask my dad a question he wouldnt even dare to answer me if my older sister achieved something they all wanna keep a big party/suprise and she get all the encouragement to be good in life but when it come to me i basically get nthg tmrw my mom is going on a trip and i asked to go with my younger and older sibling and he said NO that it would be to expensive and that i should stay at home with my dad who basically doesn’t give a shit wether am home or not the other day i was outside and all of a sudden i saw they all left me and they bought food and didnt even bring any for me and rmr when i said im basically a slave they would call me lazy a dumb for who knows what
Being the middle child did made me independent. I can hide my emotions from my family easily but… Recently i lost touch with one of my friend who was basically my support system as she always used to make me feel heard and trust me, everything is crashed down right now, im going through the biggest mental breakdown, suffering as well but who do i share all this with? Who would give a f*ck abt it ….
As a middle child myself, only child, cousins that are sibling-figures. My family is a huge of 6+ cousins, nephews, aunts. Since the new baby is born i am only seen as like butler in the house my cousing that are my sibling-figures they shattered the bond long time ago. Since shes 18 now and is on animating, the whole family is ambitious of showing it to yt and achieving 100k subs, while me 5 years in this website 300 subs and now ive benn shown off. If Im an adult I will destroy this family tradition and actually have common sense and a heart of gold, these people are now traitors. Also if I sound spoiled, trust me I change, on these I want this and that stuff etc. But when its my older siblings bday, they always got some special gifts while I got none, I only buy my own or create my own to relieve the pain they caused. Im planning to celebrate my bday alone next year, I cant stand their family tradition anymore is biased, favortism, etc. I commited s about 8 times and still manage my sanity. I know this isnt the place to post this here. I still love them the way they treat me and other middle childs is unnaceptable, we as brothers unite an doscorrupt the families from the uknown tyrrants on their minds.
As a middle male child, i always thought thaty parents always gives me the hard labour .. when my able bodied younger brother can do it.. I tried doing hard labor under the heat of the sun and my younger brother didnt. When i am not around or in school, I always tell my parents that they should let my younger brother do some hard work coz he is getting obese sitting in front of his computer and not even doing some house chores..
I saw everybody ranting so it made me feel ok by expressing my feelings and when I wrote the first paragraph I realized how fucking fucked up that was because when I expressed my feelings to my parents they always made me embarrassed by it, the embarrassment fucked me up so bad that I always hesitate showing them, when my sister acted out(oldest) she always got listened to and when she used to hit and annoy me she would get away with it so basically she could annoy me as she pleased and all she had to do was scream “MOMMYYYY” to fuck my day more and my little brother, I love him but he is the biggest fucking brat he always gets away with annoying me more than my sis but the one thing that never changed was that I couldn’t defend myself, it’s would always go like this with my parents ” DON’T HIT YOUR BROTHER, COME AND TELL US ” and when I tell them they are always either laugh or ignore me, I’ve always felt like I didn’t have simple rights to live, today my brother mistreated me badly so I hide his phone and my mother, the same woman who took my phone for a month to teach me a lesson was in his side she shouted at me to give him the phone and all he said was sorry, not like he even meant it, he always did this, and I am always a disappointment because my older sis likes to read and I don’t different interests right? No I needed to be like her and when I got a 23/30 on my french test my dad was disappointed in me for not scoring higher even tho he knows that the person who out the exam was preparing us to highschool so he made the test extra hard, I love my family more than anything but I just would appreciate it if they shown me the same feeling, thanks to them when I cry about something I always stop because I think that I look cringy or that I am spoiled, thanks to them I now neglect my own feelings unconsciously.
I don’t know if i have this syndrome but always being compared to my other siblings mostly the older one who has more life experience as an independent person doesn’t make me feel better and i would have ignored it if it didn’t came from my parents and eventually everyone started to say that,I’m useless unlike my other siblings, who are responsible, i felt betrayed every time and i don’t feel like they see me as an individual, they totally broke my self confidence.making everything like a race and it’s toxic. Not only it’s unfair to me it’s also unfair for my siblings and growing up in an south Asian household I can’t even live alone until i get married which definitely is not what I want.i can literally just write an biography about it.its sad.btw I’m not an rebellious, sociable extrovert.my older sibling is.I’m more of a introverted anti-social anxious nerdy kid who loves books and likes to read about phycology and personality types just to understand people. And this also makes me feel I’m lacking something.
I am the last born and i felt misunderstood my whole life. . According to the article at 1:45 i should be social but i always felt better when playing with brenches than playing with people. . xD Seeks attention? Sure i am always in my room being a live me alone person doing my things. . Self centered? Maybe a little bit, Fun? Not really. .
Im a middle child and im different from my sisters, anything that i like for example South Korea, things that happen at school or the songs that i made, I would talk it to other people because i feel like there not interested in my topic ! So far im the only girl in this family who loves South Korea because nobody else likes it 😢 Also, they are not interested in the shows and music I watched 😢
I can even die for attention cause all the attention my family or family guest give is to my siblings…i know we(middle ones) are no fun i know we cant express our feelings but dont elders have brain that there are not only two children then y all the attention, complements and gift to them…at that point where are their brains ……..arent we human, somtimes i think that i wish i can runaway but then i feel like wt others will think about my parent…only because of them i m tolerating or else i would have left these types of non sense people….sometime i feel like when i will die atleast i can get attention for the last time…..”being alone is better than being left alone”#middle siblings…….
Being middle child is curse I’m always. Ignored by my parents .my life decisions, choice are decided by elder sister and mine family always impose their will on me whenever I try to speak against they make me feel wrong I feel suffocating but by the whole courr I started accepting the reality 😊I’m good at hiding my emotions my sister always complaint that I never talk my heart and my heart is black 😀ok I’m done
damn, i’ve been reading these stories, and i’ve just gotta say i’n sorry for y’all. I can relate to a few of these stories, like being praised less, and getting talked down on a ton, but i can tell they still love me with all they have. Buy me gifts, defend me a ton, etc. i dont even know how it could ever get that bad with you guy’s parents, but im sorry it did. peace ✌️
Yh it’s very true. But it’s cool though. Although my behaviour is different from my siblings and my parents, I do enjoy being the middle child. It made me a strong independent individual that I am today. And as to u guys for all the middle kids, don’t be sad it’s just the way god wants to prepare us, so that we can be different and become something great in life
I’m technically nit the middke child yet at the same time I am. I have five siblings three older and two younger but my older brother has autism so guess who mommy and daddy payed attention to? Not the quite little girl reading a book nope the one screaming his head off bloody murder. Don’t get me wrong I love my brother very deeply and if I had to choose one sibling to live with forever it would probably be him. But it’s hard knowing nobody listened. I remeber little from my childhood because of trauma but what I can remember isn’t the best. I never was thank you’d for my work, always did all the work, got in trouble when my older sisters blamed something they did on ME.😞 and nothings different now. Most days I feel more like a maid then a sister or a daughter, unless I’m with my dad. Sadly I only see him in weekends
I am a Middle child I was born and for my first 4 years of life my Parents argued for hours and they care more about my Older Brothers At 7 my Mom was angry at me for not liking to read the Bible and was forcing me to be religious and she was very Racist to others and she liked to go away to Other countries and spend a lot of money My Dad rarely left Russia and was cheap and didn’t spend much money and saved a lot of money Since I was 12 the roles are switched and my dad likes to go to Finland with My Older Brother and Younger brothers and Mom I am left to take care of the house with my Grandmother My poor old grandma doesn’t like Going to Finland because her Cousin who she was Very close to almost like sisters died in the siege of Leningrad as Children She hates the Finnish
